Welcome to the forum. That would tend to suggest that the ignition switch is faulty and is not correctly switching everything off when the key is removed.

How low is the oil level on the dipstick?

Is the oil level actually low, how often do you check it? Best idea would to to check the manual for correct oil spec - but if oil level is down, I'd guess you'd be looking for a fully synthetic oil that meets VW 504/507 specification - either 0W-20, 5W-20 or 5W-30 grade appear to be suggestions. There is also a later oil spec - VW 508/509. IIRC, there may be an oil grade recommendation sticker on the scuttle adjacent to one of the headlights, visible when the hood is open.

At a guess, I'd look for the 2nd sensor downstream from the cat/DPF - I've never had occasion to closely inspect that part of either the Octavia or Fabia's exhaust system though.

Have the plugs and injectors been checked? Bad misfires sound more like ignition issues to me - or timing.

DTC P2084 relates to EGT sensor bank 1, sensor 2 - Were both EGT sensors changed? This fault suggests possible intermittent readings from EGT sensor 2, so could simply be a loose connection to that sensor.

Welcome to the forum. It shouldn't be too difficult to find a competent A/C engineer near you, try a trawl on Google and take a careful look at their reviews.

Better still, once the source is found and fixed - use a de-humidifier if driveway/garage plug-in access is available.

Gently insert fingers between the folds of the lower seal and run them back and forth along the length of the seal.

Have you checked both rear doors to confirm they aren't full of rainwater? The drain holes in the lower seal can be prone to blockage, allowing the door cavity to fill, especially the LH rear door. Mine has never got to the point of flooding into the car itself, but there has been quite a lot of water inside the door on several occasions. I think I've seen mentions of there also being rear drains on the sunroof - have you checked for that?

If you have Amundsen MIB2, you will need to use an official SD card. It may pay to get a 32gb replacement card if your original one is only 16gb.

It was a very good car, particularly with the 2-series Volvo engine!

I drove one of these in Canada a few years ago, but didn't play through all the available MFD options.

Does your trailer yacht uses water ballast? Consider using my idea of a rigid bar extension for launching and recovery - so much easier than using a rope, which of course is only useful for recovery.

Re. your question about checking transmission temperature, there may be a setting in the Maxidot MFD for that - if not a setting specifically for transmission, there definitely is one for engine oil temp.

My most recent tow for long distances in the UK was a Shetland 5.4 metre outboard cruiser on a single-axle tilter - never put on a weighbridge but wet weight was almost certainly a 'bit' over the unbraked limit! Boat was used for cross-channel cruises and long-coastal around Southern England, so usually carried fuel for around 70-100 miles. Tow vehicles with that boat were 2.0L Volvo 360, then a 2.2L Vauxhall - both N.A and with lower HP/Torque than the Octavia, hardly felt the weight with either.

Could it actually be gearbox oil from the RH driveshaft seal?

I'd suggest getting a fixed type tow-ball, as the removeable type will almost certainly will not be able to allow any height adjustment. I've seen simple 'drop plates' that just bolt between tow-ball and bar that allow for height adjustment.

At a guess you have a 5 to 6 metre boat on a single-axle trailer? - your Octavia wagon will have no issues towing it apart from keeping a eye on transmission temperatures if you are doing long mountain climbs. Front-wheel drive can sometimes be an issue on steep launch ramps and it's a good idea to not get the rear of the vehicle anywhere near salt water! - I used to use a towbar extension pole to launch and recover my cruiser.
