  1. Thanks. I got a specific chrome door trim edge, with a specific L-shape lip. i got it from AliExpress. its flexible plastic, that comes in different sizes. i got the 9mm thick, 10m version. it comes with double sided tape. so i cut to measure, n then stuck it on. i'm impressed at how long, and well its lasted. survived high pressure washes, high speeds, sunlight, and rain. its ridiculous how much a small piece of OEM chrome/black strip costs!! my version looks almost identical, costs a 10th of the OEM bits, and can b easily fixed/replaced.
  2. I've had the 95K1 software applied to mine, about 3.5 yrs ago. It is purely meant to fix the headlight startup sequence, so that it (headlight dance) doesn't get "stuck" or interrupted by ignition firing up. It doesn't do anything to the headlight range/performance. As it's been said before - park approx. 7m from a wall, pop the bonnet, using an Allen key, make slight adjustments to the adjuster on the top of the headlight. There r two adjusters - one for vertical throw and another for horizontal. Adjust the vertical one. See image below. If u need to make major adjustments - then u need VCDS or OBDEleven to put the headlights into Learning mode before u can make adjustments.
  3. That's wat I did with mine after the car was lowered 20mm - headlight throw needed to b lifted ever so slightly.
  4. The 19" on my Superb, with the DCC suspension rides so much more comfortable and quieter than the 18" RS wheels I had on my mk2 MY11 Octavia RS. It rode on 225/40R18 tyres. @Hdsn555- I saved approx. $120 a corner by going to 245. Almost $500 in total. Happy days.
  5. They're the 19" Trinity rims. Comes standard on the L&K models. We don't get L&K models here in Oz. So we get it with the Tech Pack here. Same specs as the 19” Vega and Supernova rims.
  6. That's a very good point @GregorSamsa mine is not an L&K, hence has no rear door controller module.
  7. i'm not sure wat could b happening in ur situation. is everything else working - rear window is going up & down? rear door strip ambient light is working? if not, then yes - check the fuse panel. likely shorted somewhere.
  8. Not sure wat u mean - ur door connector looks the same. Plus, if u read the posts above - it's clear which wires to tap into on the door connector (brown+yellow) and the motor connector (red+white).
  9. U'll have no issues with 19s as they're available as an option or standard fit in a few different markets. As for the tyres - many, including myself, have changed it from 235/40R19 to 245/40R19 as its a lot more cheaper, more supply, closer to the real GPS speed, and taller sidewalls for more comfort. The downside is slightly increased fuel consumption due to the bigger tyre.
  10. Must b an MY20 onwards feature. Pre-MY20, it definitely remains in Individual mode, even after turning off the car......until u change it to another mode. The only thing that doesn't stick in Individual mode is the "Drive" mode selection - it will always revert to Normal. But everything else like DCC, Steering, ACC will remain.
  11. The low beam range on my Superb Bi-xenons r spot on, from factory. See the vid of mine below - will give u an idea of how it should b normally. Sounds like urs needs adjusting. https://youtu.be/v3BgUfsupkM
  12. Never happened to me in the 4+ years I've had mine. Keys r always in my pocket. As mentioned above, keys need to b in range, and u need to press n hold for a minimum 2-3 secs for it to start opening. @TerryJP- do u have virtual kick pedal? It could b faulty, triggering the boot to open.
  13. i've put a set of these from AliExpress before - the quality & fitment is poor in comparison to the factory ones. threw them in the bin. The Kopacek ones, which i have now, r much better and the same quality as the factory ones
  14. u don't need to remove the gaitor to remove the switch panels. i have removed the switch panel myself as i also put in a start-stop module. u need a trim removal tool to pry the front of the switch panel. while jamming the top side, carefully pry the middle up - it should then pop out.
  15. It's chain driven. Service intervals r every 12 months or 15,000 kms. Major services r every 30,000 kms. DSG (wet) is serviced every 60,000 kms.
  16. i wonder if there is difference in the washer fluid cap based on the car being a Superb 280/272 vs others like Superb 220? the 280/272 has the washer fluid located at the back, next to the base of the windscreen. while the others have it at the front, next to the radiator and air intake.
  17. Lower Rear Bumper Diffuser is correct @Yorkie6947 part number is 3V5807521x. x = there r different versions - plain black version with/without towbar - Sportline version with Chrome, with/without towbar - 4x4 version with/without towbar
  18. @bmoster - given u already have a facelift Superb - u can simply buy the chrome strip bits, as described in the discussion post linked above, and stick it on yours. sadly for me, with a pre-facelift, its more work as i'll need an entire set of inner and outer tailights, new RVC, new boot handle, as well as modifying the wiring harness 😞 so i improvised and made my own, literally, chrome strip for my pre-facelift. works for me
  19. U can't change bulbs via the side compartments in the boot. U need to remove the taillights entirely, then u can twist the bulb to remove. It's very easy to do. Yes, check the user manual.
  20. its an emissions related thing - hence why the gearbox will always revert to "Normal" when u start the car.
  21. i've had 3 punctures in the 4 yrs i've owned the car, and given the fact that the spare tyre messes with the ACC and TPMS, i decided to put the full sized spare. plus, i hate the look of a steel wheel!!!
  22. These r the ones I have. Been almost a year now - no issues thus far. https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AUXITO-BAU15S-7507-LED-Indicator-Light-Amber-No-Hyper-Flash-Canbus-Error-Free-/393020076608?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l49286&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0
  23. +1 I've got similar Auxito LED bulbs in mine. Easy to install and error free. Good light output. Did similar with my indicator - replaced with Auxito LED bulbs.
  24. wat model year do u have @tom500? do u have just the one usb port under the climate control? or do u have another inside the centre arm rest storage area?
  25. Sounds like the folks who installed ur tow bar has done/removed something in the fuse box, and has now affected ur Infotainment. "Open Circuit" means either a fuse or wire plug is no longer connected. The car electrics is expecting it to b there, but nothing.
