Fast Fabia Estate
Sound like the haldex needed servicing and the filter replaced. Ours would transfer power quickly albeit it did need a few degrees of wheel rotation first as the early haldex weren't predictive or pre-engaged. As I said in the other thread we had no such problems but hey ho...

Had the haldex been properly serviced and the filter replaced?

the truth about electric cars
I worked with Drax many years ago on their proposals for biomass co-firing - specifically in relation to the transport and delivery of the biomass and the facilities for it. At that stage I seem to recall it was intended to be a mix of wood pellets and rapeseed co-firing...

Steering wheel Clamps, added security?
I use one of these (or at least a previous version of it - called 4TRESS) in my MX5 - it's a lot less bulky than the disclock and probably not a resistant but is still a good deterrent... High Security Steering Wheel Lock - Milenco, Europe's leading manufacturer of award winning caravan products

Tpms on board infotainment has no “Ser” option to reset dash warning light
Try this - for some reason the site seems to be trying to embed the links instead of just leaving them as-is... TPMS activation, reset, and disable coding with VCDS - mk6 VW | Ross-Tech Forums

Tpms on board infotainment has no “Ser” option to reset dash warning light
Daft thing to say but does that second image seem to suggest the system is looking for a separate rest button as suggested earlier? Surely there must be some long coding that tells it whether there is a separate physical or a software reset button... Does any of this help..

Usb socket removal
I could be wrong but I seem to recall looking into this a while back when I thought the one in our Kodiaq had failed. From memory if you remove the trim panels either side of the footwell you may be able to get at the clips holding that whole panel in and push it up and out which should give you access to remove the socket. Beware though in terms of replacement as there are some that are power only and some that allow data transfer too.

the truth about electric cars
Hydrogen ICE will be equally flexible as to where the original energy soutce comes from - eg wind or tidal etc. - in fact most hydrogen manufacturing development is based around wind at the moment, being planned near new offshore wind farm incomers.

Water lodging in boot seal
If it's sitting on top of the seal it's the exact problem I had with our Kodiaq. It took me a while to track down the cause having looked at light seals, gas strut fixings and rear hatch seal but the issue was actually the rubber grommet round the rear wiper leaking between it and the window glass, the water then running down inside the interior trim onto the seal. The solution was to reseal between the rubber grommet and the glass with flexible polyurethane windscreen sealant. It's a bit tricky to do without taking the wiper off but is possible by using a small screwdriver to carefully lift the grommet a bit at a time to allow you to get some sealant under it.

Driveway or Road?
I'm not trying to be an arse here but officially it's a footway. A footpath is a formalised public right of way, usual across private land. A footway is the area for pedestrians next to a carriageway, both of which form part of a highway.

Driveway or Road?
That's the kerbline and edge of carriageway, or at least it's intended to be...
-
Driveway or Road?
That's strange for a newer build. Normally on new builds the adopted highway area is transferred to the LHA under a Section 38 Agreement
-
Driveway or Road?
But that's irrelevant here as we're talking insurance not govt statistics.
-
Driveway or Road?
As to your deed boundary the situation whereby you 'own' part of the road is not unusual in older properties as the ownership usually includes the half width of the highway in front, even if adopted, but owners can't do anything with or to it because of the adoption by the LHA. My bet is that there will be a restrictive covenant on it somewhere in the deed's.
-
Driveway or Road?
For insurance purposes that's a road. On a drive you wouldn't be in a position whereby your car could be struck by passing traffic. That picture clearly shows you can be and are within the carriageway. As an aside why do you park end on rather than parallel?

What does 'tow bar preparation' actually include
Not always the case... Depends on the vehicle and engine.
-
What does 'tow bar preparation' actually include
All it includes in relation to the loom is wiring from the front of the car to 'dumb' wiring sockets behind the boot trim. The dedicated kit then includes the control module and wiring that plugs into these and controls the towing socket.

2021 Kodiaq RS - Towbar
Same here... Our kodiaq has towing weights listed on the plate but no towbar prep. I checked via the chat on the Skoda website.

is buying a used ev more risky than buying a used ice ?
Lots of people who prefer to own something rather than pay forever more for it, or maybe keep it for a long time, or maybe because the finances work out better for them. Or as George says because they buy second hand. Lots of reasons really.

Is it normal to hear Haldex engage rear drive?
If you're giving it the beans it coul still be the traction control and ESP kicking in as power transfers to the back. Try switching them off and seeing if you get the same.
