My latest thought about Yeti RS is this:-

 

Since the brain transplant whereby Yeti RS now thinks it is an Audi TT in a Yeti suit, how does it cope with having rear doors? Does it know what to do with them when you hit the rear door lock switches or is the locking controlled solely by the front switches?

 

This indeed was an issue.

Solved by running the front and back doors together so it thinks they are one.

So just one feed for each side which splits to both doors.

 

This will be a slightly slow week for updates as the cheif guy on the project had a few days off.

 

Clutch and brakes are all bled and ready.  Apparently the clutch feel is very good.

Intercooler and radiator hoses all turned up yesterday so that's the next thing...

and i thought i was good by being able to get 220BHP out of my skoda fabia vrs mk2 , holy **** this is absolute insanity please please please put like a 1.2 yeti badge on or the greenline badge or some other really slow yeti and have it as a sleeper that would be priceless.

Not exactly difficult fitting a tuning box!

 

Transplanting a 5cly turbo charged engine is a whole different sort of project!

Apologies, the guy doing the custom work had a few days off one week and then when he came back I asked him to put a cage and exhaust in/on a Fabia of a certain colour.

Yeti fettling is now being resumed.

 

This Saturday is 7 weeks until Castle Combe Brisky day out.

We are significantly through the project, it should be driving around within a week or so and once the mapping is done that just leaves fettling and testing...

I forgot they had the Santa Pod FGF as well.

 

Is it the same mad scientist doctor operating on that too?

 

I suppose that, once the Yeti RS is all back together, you'll have to wait for a good lightning storm before throwing the switch to bring him back to life!

It's in the paintshop having the rear part of the interior painted as it's all bare and grey from the original colour.

Expecting it back Monday.

 

Then it's finishing the exhaust and getting the map sorted, which involves loading the Revo TT-RS stage 3 Loba turbo one and making some minor tweaks due to the different intercooler and exhaust set up.

Yeti is back from having the interior painted.

Now just the exhaust to do, some pipework and it's ready for mapping.
