Completed my first WU today... !!!!

And jumped straight into 23rd spot out of 27 people in the Briskoda folding team. I guess my 400 worth WU was a big scorer!

Now 2% into WU #2, and will keep it going!

I see that Briskoda.net is currently ranked at 1040. Just a couple more people, and I'm sure we could get into the top thousand. Anyone got a server farm lying idle?

I've managed to get folding on 2 PC's in work - and nobody has noticed/complained yet so will try a third next week - although I have to turn them down to about 30% CPU usage :(

We've jumped a place to #1039 now. There must be more Briskoda members who are willing to donate a little spare CPU time to the folding team cause? I barely notice the folding client working at all during my general PC usage, and when the PC is not being used it works at its best.

I just finished a massive 2500 one - took all week that time. It looks like we are heading into the top thousand, well done everyone you guys at the top are amazing, every time I do one I look and you've done another 10!

ranked at 1031 now. Maybe with some fresh processor power we can crack into the 3 figure rankings tomorrow!

I have two WUs waiting to upload from my work pc - but the stupid thing has got itself in a twist about proxy servers again....

Up to 1020 in the rankings now. And thanks to me putting up with my rather unquiet PC being left on all night I'm already 25% through another 400 pointer WU.

Reckon we'll crack into three figures by this evening!

put folding on 2 more PC's in work today - although only seems to be working on one - strange both identical PC's running same software etc - one runs straightaway the other just keeps flagging up an error - I've left it over night will see in the morning

I now have a housemate folding away, slowly though on a little laptop. She's from China and I don't think she knows what a skoda is, but every little helps anyway

Well done everyone i'm quite proud to be the highest with just one CPU crunching.. keep up the good work everyone!

Hey guys I'm totally hooked to this - so much so that I'm introducing it over at the fiat forum. Unfortunately I can't really set up a team and not be in it, so I'm afraid it is with regret I have to leave the briskoda team. I hope this is OK, after all the more people the better and we're all working for the same cause! Don't worry no danger of us catching you yet though!

Thanks - more bad new though I think I just lost my last WU... I waited till it finished before I changed team but it never got credited to either team! :( Oh well at least it was only a little 100 one.

I'm quietly happy to be sitting at number 10, with only 1 machine. I can only assume that WU's are assigned on the basis of machine power, as mine's a Pentium 2800 with 1Gb of RAM.

They are not always assigned most appropriately to maximize points, but generally a faster machine with more RAM does help

Wheee Just completed my First WU - can only get things ticking along unattended on one machine though :( and thats a little P3 933 with 1 gig ram .

The other machines will run along quite happily for about an hour or so then F@H crashes.

I'll try running the non Gui version when I have more time see about getting it running on the beast I'm typing this up on

My next WU is only a 1000 jobbie but atm is sitting at 10 frames complete with estimated completion date of Friday 8th April :eek: , seeing as the 2500 one only took 1 1/2 days I think thats a generous estimate

I'm past 50% on my WU number 2 now... I noticed that if I physically leave my monitor turned off then F@H crashes pretty quick, but if I just leave the screen alone and it does its power saving click off, I can let it run and it doesn't crash.

This is on a poxy athlon 750 with a mere 196mb of RAM.

Yep. Saves on plugs/socket space...

So, when its just on standby (orange light on, not green) its OK, when its all off, it crashes eventually. I don't really mind. I'm going to start conciously looking for a brand new budget PC soon, so hopefully will have TWO machines to fold with.
