The spoiler really transforms it, brings it all together. That lamp pod though....wow, peronally i think it finishes it off and looks so mean. Cant wait till the small smoothing bits and paint starts.

That looks awesome :)

As above it's going to look good with some fresh paint on it. Keep it up.

I like it!

Awesome

Thanks for all of the positive comments guys, it should look pretty menacing in rear view mirrors when it finally hits the road again

That is a really good job, can't wait to see it painted. The only odd looking bit for me is the rear bumper it has a big step in near the bottom..

Just seen this, off to page one now to follow and read from the start.

this is the only time arch gap is acceptable :)

Do you mean the shot from behind and how you can see the tires? If so they do a bumper where it doesn't cut in like that (see pic below)  but I just prefered the look of the one I have.SkodaFabiaWRC1.jpg

Yeah think I'd prefer the bumper in that pic :)

Out of interest and I'm not suggesting you do this, but is there a way to fit longer suspension arms from another VAG car so the wheels fill the arches without the 50mm spacers?

I'm asking as the 4x4 Autocross Fabia mkI I had a while ago didn't run spacers, but it had flared arches and a wider track.

Not to sure boss, the spacers don't bother me to much to be honest as its not going to be a track day star or anything (ok maybe a few if I get the chance ;) ) and from the little test drives I've been doing around the car park where it is the handling seems to spot on. Plus I still need to fit my axle to stub axle spacers which will add another 20mm per corner on the rear

Weren't the old rally cars based on an Octy? But just styled like a Fabia?

Possibly, but the auto cross one was home made from a Fabia. Maybe the arms were fabricated and it used Octy/TT shafts.

OP, yes fair play.

To be honest it could all get rather involved... :)

Coming along nicely, can't wait to see it with paint.

Hi
I see that it is the work by hand.
This wing would sit a little down

Loving the mk2 on mk1 rims surprisingly suits it very well.

Yeah I think so to joe, it came with steelies on ( not like theres anything wrong with steelies ;) ) but with me not needing the vrs wheels anymore I thought I'd try them on for her as she wanted alloys on it and it really suits them

Well guys the car went to paint today   will be expecting it back in 2-3 weeks so my apologies in advance if this tread is abit quiet for a while but I can't really do anything untill it gets back, if I do think of anything that I can be doing I'll add it on here. Whilst I'm at it, what are people opinions about the wheels on the car I don't know whether to keep them black or go white with them? I'm leaning more towards keeping them black to break up the white but any opinions would be very appreciated

Shadow chrome? Black sometimes loses the details of the wheels
