Charlie..    just another PD hybrid.  to much of a ball ache changing over to GTB setup.      And yes.  the Avus `s clear the brakes with no spacers.

started tarting the bay up as it is all off...  1st coat of everything..

shoddy workmanship from the people that hybridised it i think..   never seen a turbo do this before.

I still have it, but 1 of my mates its going to have it and have it rebuilt

bit of a fail this weekend as i was hoping to get the fabia back and running. 

 

only got to spend a couple hours on it stripping and cleaning my boost system.. 

 

first off..  some pretties...

 

more of that later on...

 

had to get to the FMIC to see if there was any oil in the system,

bumper off

this come out 1 of the pipes.

use of the jack handle to clean up the pipes inside and out..

this fell out the FMIC..

 

then after a petrol bath

 

now before i refit everthing i had to tackle this little sod..

 

this is 1 of the AC pipes that come from the bulkhead down the AC rad. i foolishly broke it being impatient and put a kink in it.  so heres my punishment.. 

 

this was the easy bit..

this bit was a mission due to some weird clip that holds them together

 

as you see up there ^^^   there is a little sirclip that holds the connecting pipe together... this was easy to remove when old pipe was off but to refit it was a clunge!   you have to lay under the car and clip it in place of the solid piping. this runs up the side of the rad, gives you 0 room and with the stupid sir clip tool i had made it very difficult.  got there in the end tho..
