What have you done to your Superb III today?

Yes, I discovered that later. I don't think I have to keep the green caps though, do I? Is there any good reason to use nitrogen?

I believe its just to denote nitrogen has been used.  Nitrogen is meant to be more stable at diff temps (less pressure change) and also less leaks.

When i was at nissan all GTR's had to have nitrogen in the tyres. We had to install this when we became a high performance centre.

I see the dog approved :)  Looks great! How dirty is it now?

Dog approved of the outside, she hasn't been let inside there yet :D

Our dog hates the Superb!  He jumps in my wifes Golf and quickly settles, no worries.   As soon as the tailgate opens on the Superb he's a jibbering wreck!

And for the first time ever , I have washed , polished and waxed

I know I am biased but it does look good

Looks the business. Sounds ridiculous but did you have to inform insurance about this? Very tempted. Is it just a hairdryer job to change?

I think it looks better all black, tempted to get the callipers painted black

erm....... didn't think about insurance to be honest, would they class it as a modification??

It was real easy, much easier than I thought, hairdryer on it for a couple of minutes and some fishing line behind it, once it was loose enough to get fingers behind it just pulled straight off, just be patient and very careful

I am sure there are easier / better / less risky ways but this worded a charm.

The Skoda & Superb badges were taken off by the garage when it went into there, just had to use some rubbing compound and polish to clear the 'ghostin', which  of course lead to doing the rest of the car

The 280 ticked over it's first 10K miles.  I can't recall ever having a car that hasn't covered 20K+ by this point! I best start thinking about booking it's first service.

I bloody love this car! A few trim niggles but nothing so far can detract from what is the best car I've ever had.

Looking good, how i wish i had VC =(

Was one of the "must-have" options for the next car. But honestly there are so many gadgets on it that they will keep me occupied for quite a while I reckon. When I do finally get my hands on it, lol...

I was told it arrived, 2 weeks before the estimated delivery...  :o  So off I went to the dealers to admire it, even with all that white protection on I still fell in love... The first ever Sportline (let alone in Quartz Grey or with the black Supernovas on) that I see in the flesh, and looks much better than all the pictures I had seen so far.

The wheels look so much nicer than my Photoshop efforts to retro-fit them electronically :inlove:

Now If I can only find a serious buyer for my current car that is not asking for ridiculous discount, till then the car  stays with Skoda  :crying:

Looking good, Virtual Cockpit does look nice,

Now, can I get one retrofitted

You can. The retrofit should cost somewhere in the neighbourhood of 1800€.

At least one man, a German who goes by matze, does it.

Well if she finds out I know someone who would take it off your hands :giggle:

Got my Superb waxed and polished for the winther. Got it in november.

Swapped the reversing bulbs for LED's. Before and after in picture.

Small note, the 'jewel' that blocks the direct view of the bulb from the rear IS refective on the bulb side, bouces light back to the rear reflector, so led elements on the 'front' of the bulb do create useful light.

Really tempted by the superskoda boot lights next.

I've picked up our 280 from the body shop today after having the horrible black textured plastic exhaust surround smoothed and finished gloss black to match the rest of the Sportline trim, plus had a cheeky Maxton Designs diffuser panel added, so it now looks like it should've done from the factory!!

Nice.  Any pics?

Yes, what he said

Thinking of a Maxton diffuser myself.

Bog standard air is 80% nitrogen, unless the tyres are fitted in a nitrogen atmosphere (means the fitters need breathing apparatus) there will already be some oxygen, CO2, CO and other gases inside the tyre.  Don't see the point in paying for topping up with nitrogen but there was once something said about parting fools from money.

Gas laws don't vary by gas, just the gas constant does.  PV=kRT or something like that (temperature is in Kelvin and not Celsius,  0K is -273C)

I know, just stating what it was. I dont bother with it tbf. Costco dont charge extra for it either, think they use it as a selling point...

Sorry guys, I'm rubbish with computers so don't know how to load them onto here .

If you're thinking of one yourself Penguin, they do look nice once fitted, not over the top, IMO, and just like you would expect an OEM part to look.

Happy to give the picture thing a try if anyone can give me idiot proof instructions?
