Yea just what I was going to say. Mine is closer to 2500 at 70 with the 6 speed. Should help the fuel economy significantly on a motorway run.

Yes it was around 37-38mpg with a mix of speeds between 65 and 80 and busy roads. Obviously nowhere near run in yet so I'm happy with that!

Way better than I’ve ever got! 32-34 on a legal-ish motorway run for me.

Re winter tyres/wheels what ballpark figure are you looking at and any recommendations?

@Baggins I went for these in 17" (215/55/17): https://www.oponeo.co.uk/alloy-wheel-detail/monaco-grand-prix-7-50x17-5x112-00-et37-00#21172642 (same model, but ignore the size specifications on that page - I'm not exactly sure what offsets etc. I have) with Dunlop Winter Sport 5. Really happy with them. I paid £1050 all in from my local wheel and tyre specialist. Tyres fitted and balancing included obviously. I bought the wheels before I needed them, then swapped them over myself at home when I needed to put them on. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Car collected from dealers.  In for warranty work on three separate trim rattles/buzzes and sods law, only one of the faults would manifest when at the dealers so they can't identify/fix the others.  The other two noises then started happening just before parking up on the drive....

Credit to Derek Slack Skoda though, great service and they've committed to sorting the other issues as soon as they witness them and they're happy for video 'evidence'.

Cleaned it and cleaned summer wheels/tyres and put them away in garage.

It's a shame when you really clean a car and see stone chips on the bonnet :swear:

I fitted the same wheels and tyres as @Bud

Nice clearance on the 272 brakes :D

I take it no issues with clearance @boydeee?  It looks tight!   I think I previously saw these on ebay but think now sold out(?), been swithering whether to bother for this winter.  If you have a link to them a PM would be appreciated.

Heated windscreen used in anger for the first time last night and this morning.   The fuel filler cap ice scraper also got an outing for the side windows but I'll refrain from agreeing 'Simply Clever' just yet as it almost felt like it was frozen and hard to budge; when the temperature really dips I'm guessing this thing isn't going to move.  Maybe the glove box may have been a better location, Skoda?!

fastest fix ever, on the morning sent email about problem
and in case there is rainy weather it must be fixed as fast as possible
at 16:00 were fixed, with other problems usually have to wait one week at least
high score got with windscreen, 55 days
