Chinese GP postponed due to the coronavirus. I wonder if it will be possible to re schedule later in the year or will it end up as just 'cancelled' 🤔

OMG!

They said the Halo looked bad...

This is Indycars new screen (the one RedBull proposed for F1)

looks like a 1 seat saloon car.

🤢

How do you pull a 'tear off' off of the screen when it gets covered in oil or insects?

Ferrari launch new SF-1000 car which channels air to the centre of the rear wing rather than the edges of the rear wing reducing overall downforce suggesting they are concentrating on top speed advantage.

Their boss claimed they're trying to find downforce all over the car. The low drag car last year got humped in the championship did it not?

Williams makes "no fundamental concept changes" to new car.

Oh dear.

They've "prioritised making improvements"

Other quotes from the team at the  launch:

"Healthy development rate"

"Reasonable improvement"

"Some good progress"

Very worrying.😪

Mercedes fastest on day 1.

1.16.976

Last year:

Ferrari fastest on day 1

1.18.161

I think the fastest laps in the whole 8 days last year were around 1.16.22 for both

That's week 1 then. Most teams in the 1 min 17s only Mercedes went quicker.

In fact this morning Bottas got down to 1.15.8, only 3 tenths off last years pole.

Mind you that was on the softest tyres, so we'll have to see how next week goes when RedBull try them.

Higher top speed and reduced tyre wear (or better optimised steering geometry for cornering) (or both).

It was already banned in the 2021 rules that were published last autumn.

That shows the FIA already knew about it - but then Mercedes have been working on it for a year according to Bottas, so would already have had discussions with the FIA about the idea.

FIA and Ferrari in secret deal over last year's engine 'questions" and subsequent FIA investigation - which is now concluded. No mention publicly of whether they cheated or not. Ludicrous.

Typical of the way that over the years the FIA have allowed Ferrari to consistently break the rules without any punishment.

In other words the FIA knew that Ferrari were operating outside of the rules. This used to be called 'cheating', but Ferrari International Assistance couldn't quite bring themselves to say that. Not that the ex Ferrari boss Jean Todt is now the big cheese at the FIA has any bearing on the investigation. :notme:

Wonder if he gets a new Ferrari every year (FOC).
