Update to Version 1969

Featured Replies

Recently had our Octavia in for some AC repairs MY24 SEL 1.5e-tec -> we complained of an issue at same time of interior fans staying on but no air coming through vents and also an ‘exterior lighting error’ coming up on dash.

They updated software and it has returned as 1969. It was on 1940 when it went in.

Hi all.

First of all thanks for the availability of the material, I have updated to 1969 without any problems.

On Golf 8 is already running 1983, nobody knows anything for ours?

Not seen anything but then again, I haven't really been taking much notice of it as 1941 seemed to have cured most of the gremlins that were plaguing the infotainment system.

However, I have a problem a few days after this update appeared. Or the icon of the world with the red X. I tried to unplug the battery and it disappears, but after a couple of days it appears again and never disappears anymore.

The trick is take out fuses 19 and 30 for 10 minutes...

It might be a massive coincidence but I’ve noticed on my first edition that after the last update to 1969 via usb, my auto lights don’t work.  They’re basically permanently on now! Has anyone else noticed the same thing?

Have you done a factory reset of the infotainment system?  After I applied update 1969 my drivers electric seat memory, linked to the keys, stopped working but factory reset sorted it.  You will need to log back in as Primary account using both key fobs but all your settings seem to be saved in the cloud so all pretty straightforward.

Good shout probably. I’ve done this with previous updates but not with 1969.  Thanks.

Guys, where can I find the 1969 sw package to copy to pendrive? Anyway what is the final conclusion concerned about 1969? Is it worth updating from 1941 -> to 1969?

Literally this thread - look back at the first 3-4 pages where I have posted two download links I am hosting.  Others have also posted their own links.

For me, nor really any noticeable difference between 1941 and 1969.  You could apply the adage “If it ain’t broken……”

Yep my experience is stick to 1941 unless you are still having issues. 1969 caused a few new issues for me

Hey guys. Just wanted to give an update here about  SW 1969. Dealerships in the middle east have begun updating the cars here with SW1969. ( when you go to them with problems). A few of the vRS' in my group have gotten their systems updated to SW1969. So far rock solid.

Can you elaborate on that please

See top of page 10 in this forum discussion.

I've not seen anything in 1969 that improved anything. To me it's slower and takes ages to work from getting in car and pressing start button.

Plus my Laura is broken again. So it didn't fix that issue

I still haven't had the update pushed to my car. Pretty poor really.

Oktavia 4, 2021. I have 1804 SV, and I wanted to update it to 1941. I go to MIB solution and download from MOI3/LG/MOI3_EU_SK_R9410L MU 1941. After that when I want to unzip a file it says that it is a courrupted file. I tried with 7z  and winrar.

Thank you in advance.

You may need to visit a dealer first before attempting the update anyway. With a low revision number, you may need to get them to apply an update first.

Nothing here yet. Not worried about it.

Mine was also slow following the update.  I did a factory reset and paired my keys again and all was fine.

Oh wellI hopefully there's a new update soon with some noticeable improvements.

Version 1983 is already available for VW models. Give it a year and we will have it 😂

I updated mine from 1804 to 1941 last week. The TPI seems to suggest that you should be able to update as long as you have 1788 or newer.

I used the MOI3_EU_SK_R9410L MU1941_SK20230615S file. I read in another thread that it had to get reuploaded due to the original (the one you are downloading) getting corrupted.

I was going to try and update again to 1969, but the file on mibsolution seems to be corrupt (at least for me)!

Hi: This is my first post in this forum.

My car's software level is 1803.

I've been following this thread with great interest and been wondering whether update 1941 or 1969 will have any influence on my problem with my navigation system that last october suddenly forgot all of its favorites and also forgot its home address. Reentering its home address will only make it remember it until the car is shut down. Very annoying since I have spent several hours entering my favorite places, copied from my Garmin GPS.

I just don't use the sat nav it's regularly wrong. But I have found that the system starts in sat nav mode vice the normal split screen (🚗 + 📱+ 📻 + 🗺️).

This has been happening since several OTA updates have landed on my system.

My satnav used to lose favourites, phone favourites and radio presets when first delivered. It was on 1918 or something. Got dealership to upgrade which was pre 1941 that corrected those issues.Maybe 1936 but that was a year ago and I can't remember

Your issues were fixed somewhere between 1803 and 1941 and upgrading to 1941 should fix. (However I've probably got different hardware versions than you. mine is a 2023 version. Fingers crossed it should work)
