  3. It is simple but needs some time for the very first time. Drums should be prohibited in passenger cars. It is bunch of problems. Especially grease leak and simmering quality.
  4. Today
  5. What profile tyre is fitted?
  6. I wish I had rang them for their advice, I went with the 17" wheel and the circumference is way smaller than my 17" wheels. I will definitely only be putting it on the rear.
  7. A restart may be all you need. Also try tapping on the HOME button and then swiping left or right to the view you want. Nav full screen should be available by tapping the NAV button.

Quick update, oil change completed. Easy enough job just the undertray a bit fiddly needing 4 different tools to remove. I went with Castrol EDGE 0W-20 LL IV Advanced Full Synthetic Engine Oil in the end. Thanks for all the replies and if your thinking of having a go at it yourself.....do it.
  12. Are both cables are too short now and you cannot catch nuts on the thread even if hanbrake is maximum down in zero positon? If cables seems too short now you need to push back self adjusters up with pliers or screwdriver. It will relase more cable to the cabin and you be able to put nuts on the thread.|You dont need to remove drums. You can do it with screwdriver through the lug bolt hole but it is tricki for the first time.
  13. Is there no sticker in boot near spare wheel or sometimes in owners book/glove box? Alasdair
  14. Alasdair1 started following PR Code request
  15. Thanks for the answers @kokosal but i m not sure that i understand, do i have to open the wheels again?
  16. I have a friend who wants to retrofit cruise control to his Skoda Scala. He only has speed limiter. His current bcm (and gateway combo) is 2q0937087D. He is also looking at retrofitting 090 with 3q0 external gateway if it somehow helps. If someone has a solution for the missing swap code it would be amazing.
  17. handbrake lever maximum down, put the nuts on the thread self adjusters up with screwdriver put the drums on pull handbrake lever and tight the nuts more if lever is max down cable must be a little lose
  18. but now the cables are not too long i need more 3-4 cm if the 2nd picture is the correct
  19. i use what utube says! maybe i have to go at the service garage , i m afraid that they are not good thats why i did it on my own , just money ! what is the correct?
  20. Please read my post again; I said that you're NOT a green warrior, but you still misunderstand what I'm saying. I'm like you; I doubt I'll be around by the time ICE is banned, but then again, I could be. My mum never passed until reaching 92, so I could be. As to whether I'd still be driving, who knows that answer? I don't, and neither do you. But, like that professor told me, as an engineer, I have an inquisitive mind, and I'll never give up trying to preserve our rights to have a choice. As I have said before, when those at the top of the tree start proving their green credentials and actively do what they want us all to do, then maybe they might get somewhere. Like the lockdown when BJ was having parties and others were having police raids, they just keep on demonstrating how it's one rule for us and another for them and their wealthy backers.
  21. Control Module is located on left side of boot under the trims. If you replace it it will need coding with odis. A decent vag specialist should be able to help.
  22. so now lever down and tight the nuts until first touch. If you pull the lever self adjuster should sink down deeper and deeper. Shoes should expand. Its greased dont expect much braking.
  23. Why electric? They're just so prone to failure. Just get a detachable one and you're done. ^^
  24. I would be interested in the answer to this too.
  25. To be honest I cant hear relay ON click because is masked by turning ignition. I can hear OFF only. What if you remove relay and try to turn the key to the ignition position? Still pump works without relay? If yes I would check cable from relay output to pump. Maybe there is just another jumper cable from lighter to pump.
  26. Correction.. part number is 5Q0 035 842 B
  27. Hi. My 2016 Fabia Radio went completely dead I changed the glove box unit with a second hand one. Got Component Protection removed at a Skoda dealer. Radio and most functions all ok, but Telephone not available message shows when selecting telephone. Part number is exactly same as old unit, 5Q0 035 842N. Any ideas on my best course of action ? Thanks.
  28. maybe i m doing something wrong on handbrake installation ?
  29. @Graham Butcher I have a BEV & 2 ICE vehicles. I am no green warrior. I am just raging against the machine. Or being a rebel without a cause. We are where we are and the motor manufacturers are where they are. No matter how much there is mumping and moaning from those that have not and what not a BEV they will still be getting built and purchased. I doubt i will be driving in 5 years so really could not give a monkeys what the UK government does. I am only here for the banter and to read some of the crap posted. PS. Please show any post ever from me where i say or imply that BEV,s are the only way to clean things up. You are making up your own story there.
