  1. Or go to @Tech1e's uploads...
  2. Go to Erwin, sign up for an hour, and download all the Fabia manuals from there.
  3. That’s good news! Hopefully they’ll have enough parts! I cancelled my original order after initial delays and personal and family reasons and I didn’t feel it was right to buy myself a new car to distract from other family and global issues….the dealer tried to keep my order and I did think long and hard about it. I was over the disappointment of not having a new vRS on factory order….So after a week or two and chatting to family and friends I changed my mind and found one advertised on Autotrader which has everything I wanted and a little more for a similar price and different colour and in stock supposedly! I was in that frame of mind of wanting to get it sorted so I phoned the dealer at 6.55 last Tuesday after finishing work and apologising to the dealer for calling so close to closing time… we managed to get a deal done the very next morning. Now I’ll be collecting this Saturday coming! 😀 I’m very excited! I know that it’ll be amazing but it does feel weird to be treating myself while everything is going on around us. This would be my very first brand new car they’ve always been pre owned!
  4. Yes, it's normal. It's a temperature sensor.
  5. Sounds like a what are these things for... My initial thoughts when I saw the thread title was that a child had posted french fries into the vents and help was needed on how to extract them without damage/large cost.
  6. Enjoy life to the fullest and be there for the ones close to you. We only have so much time on this world and it can be ended right away. Enjoy the new ride
  7. Yes indeed a great £100 mod, I had TT seats in my mk1 Fabia for 1000’s of miles and there great
  8. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393963057011 Otherwise I may have some things you're needing on my Fabia downloads resources page. See here. Hope this helps.
  9. Not much progress with the seats…. Grrrrrrr! It seems like the Vax is pulling what looks like red mud or possibly even rust? out of the foam base, so I’ve decided to take the covers off and put them through the washing machine. Just waiting on some hog-ring pliers and rings to come. I have now managed to replace both of my tailgate struts as mine have been goosed for a wee while now. Found two on EBay for £15 that come with a life-time guarantee. Decided on these as I’ve fitted several different brands from differing motor factors at work and I’ve never really been impressed with how they felt…. A little cheap to be honest. Gotta say, the eBay ones feel really well put together and strong. I also went to replace my passenger door mirror as some **** smashed it, but the numpty seller sent me the drivers side. Not even apology from them! Gonna be few days for another one arrives, from a different seller!

I totally understand you…same here. I was just reading today the review of new VW T-Roc and they (vw) are so proud that they could keep three main and popular models ( polo, t-cross and t-roc) in regular delivery 4-6 months…they have serious problems with golf and Tiguan, Tuareg, Passat and I.D 3 are marked as not possible for delivery and škoda keeps introducing new models without delivering even the regular ones 🤷🏻‍♂️
  11. Got the dash all back together finally, I accidentally fitted the up gti heater controls and when I was out in the dark, everything else is green except the heater that’s red 🤦‍♂️, so got the Skoda one back in and all looks lovely. My driveshafts been dispatched, I’ve got a stop start battery coming tomorrow. I’m just waiting on rad mounts, fingers crossed will be moving under its own steam on Saturday.
  12. A lot of modern small capacity engines are turbo charged, it is part of the manufacturers to improve economy and reduce emissions. My partner has a 1.2TSi and it does the job perfectly well for every day use and it returns over 50mpg most of the time. I find it a little sluggish if your carrying a lot of weight or are trying to accelerate quickly, but I drive a 2.0 TDI so it isn't really comparable. As Roottoot said, try to test drive a couple and see what you think.
  13. Due to change in circumstances, don’t really need a second car now Have sold our faithful Roomster which we have had 9 years, it recently helped up move house, and for many years was our car for when we went anywhere with the dogs. It flexibility was amazing and fixed glass roof was nice. My first Skoda experience was when we used to stay at my Uncle about 45 years ago, had lots of them, rear engined ones, then Felicia and Fabia My father in law loved Skoda as well, had a Felicia hatch and then a Felicia Estate, then our first Octavia L&K (all of which did over 130,000 miles). Our Skoda story started with a green Octavia GLX 1.6 estate, bought out of of showroom in 1998 (no waiting for orders then) from (now closed) Skoda dealer in Surbiton. One of the first Octavia estates in UK, which didn’t have air conditioning. Then traded it in two years later (2001) for a 4 month old L&K estate, also green with tan leather inside, it had the 1.8 litre 20v turbo engine with auto box, lovely car, this is the one that went to my father in law in Ireland in 2007. 2007-2010 was not Skoda as we leased a car, a Mercedes A class, easy to park in London, but never really liked it. 2010, back to Skoda, another Octavia estate L&K, a mk2 version from 2006, had both sunroof and climate control. Was a 2 litre FSI with auto 2013 wanted something bit smaller that fitted London parking spaces better, got a 6 months old roomster SE 1.2 DSG, got dealer to fit the dual height boot floor, petrol blue, this is car just sold. Unbelievably useful, carried everything from dogs to a fridge freezer. 2015 after a change of job, needed a second car at short notice, so I bought a Fabia S, had a/c but was a bit basic, only kept it 18 months until I got great deal leasing a Yeti 2016, a Yeti as our 6th Skoda, 1.2 tsi DSG in petrol blue to match the roomster, loved this car, but couldn’t get a replacement when the 2 year lease was running out. By 2018 were down to one dog and didn’t really need a larger car, so switched to a Seat Arona xcellence lux (the Skoda equivalent Kamiq wasn’t launched then) 2022 After moving house, and change to semi retirement, don’t need a second car, so someone else will become owner of a 47300 mile blue roomster
  14. Sorry to see you're going. You don't have to have a Skoda to stay, mind you.
  15. Hi guys, I’m Drew and I’m new to Skoda ownership, but I’ve always had VAG cars. I recently bought this: Its got 53k miles and is absolutely minty fresh, with the much nicer dark alcantara interior (in my opinion). No real modifications as yet, I don’t pick it up until Monday, but I’ve never been able to keep a car standard so I imagine it won’t be long… I’m hoping to get along to some meet-ups in the coming better weather as well if anyone can recommend some near the Kent/Medway area. look forward to meeting people in the future 😁👍🏻

Good idea, I will do that. New Thread started in the projects section😎
  17. Not a diesel but get between 31-33 towing our 2 berth, 1100Kg, caravan with a 1.4 tsi. That’s very close to our last diesel Spaceback pulling the same van.
  18. Amazing, Thank you so much

Yeah dedicated sport button, and on the correct side of the gearstick this time!
  20. After a couple of years away from Skoda and previously owning 3 Fabias I decided I’d like a Kodiaq as the family wagon. I got offered a decent cash deal on a VRS so placed my order mid February. I was initially told 26 weeks delivery, but on the day I paid my deposit was told 17 weeks (and signed the disclaimer about possible delays!) I took this with a pinch of salt especially after reading this forum and put it to the back of my mind. Was surprised to receive a call from the dealer today saying my car has been allocated a build date of week 16. I’m not holding my breath though as I know this can change!

Yes there is a dedicated sport button. I tried it once but it seemed to use the engine all the time even though there was plenty of battery available, the engine only switched off when stopped at a junction and would immediately restart as soon as I moved off, very lively drive though 💥💥

    Not with that centre bore.

Couple of jobs done today. Stripped grill and painted chrome part in deep black pearl to match car and got rid of carshop advertising on bottom of number plates
  24. I can't of top of my head but I found this, if this helps https://fuseandrelay.com/skoda/mk3-superb.html
  25. I'm using the rear wiper fuse
  26. Powerflex offer their PFF85-501G front bush which is adjustable, I am not sure if I am allowed to post a link to my own eBay page? They are a little fiddly to use but very effective.
  27. Same issue with my Mk2. Both windows suddenly stopped working and drivers door would only ever open or lock with the key (although the later has been the case for years)
  28. Just a useful update for anyone looking at Zappi or Eddi, the hub is now (for new deliveries) included in both the Eddi and Zappi so no longer required.
  29. The Climatronic modules do have an internal fan whose function I have forgotten but it isn't for cooling of the components, I think it might be for drawing in cabin air for the sensors. Noise from them is a known issue, sometimes cause by a foreign body (leaf or insulation) blocking the airflow drawn into the fan creating a whistle. I would switch the Climatronic to ECO wait for the noise to stop and then give it a good beating!
  30. I'd start by self-inspecting the tyres for any signs of uneven tread depth, particularly if the sound seems to come from one corner (start there).

I have no info at all not a week, not an estimate if it will even be this year. Litteraly no info at all till date. From an estimate delivery oktober 2021 to no info at at all makes us decide not to go for a VW grp again as the next car.

Yes. When fully loaded the 1.4 alone is best described as adequate. It'll get the job done but does feel a bit flat. I don't know how often you drive with the car fully loaded, but the benefit the iV etc has is that you can stick it in sports mode for these occasions and it'll preserve enough charge to make sure you have the full 215hp available at all times - this is what I do on trips to the Highlands etc where I'm not able to plug in on the journey.
  33. Welcome. 2015-2017 did have newer engines, engines from 2016 were Euro 6 emissions. 2015 on will be Mk3 Fabia's and they are a Cam Belt not a timing chain. Then 1.2 TSI 4 cylinders were dropped and you will find even Octavia's might have a 1.0 TSI 3 cylinder engine, also in Fabia, Rapids, Scalla, Kamiq & Karoqs. These engines then got GPF's (Gasoline Particulate Filters) and the will have from 2018. Best you go try a 1.2 TSI or a 1.0 TSI engined car they move along the road perfectly well with whatever power they have, be that 105,110,113,115 PS
  34. Body control module has SFD, also needs Bonnet open
  35. If you mean the total milage since your car has been manufactured, just push the ACC stalk to fully deactivate it. Then the total milage will appear where the ACC speed demand use to appear (at least for Mk3 w/o. VC).
  36. Got the throttle from a Rapid/ 6R Polo Platform 6R2 721 503 D, need to make a wiring harness and run it up to where the new ECU will be living. (Find one with a pigtail) 1k0 909 144 steering rack has arrived, waiting on a tool to pull the rod ends so I can get the stock steering rack out. (If anyone wants this they're welcome to it, it'll just be the rack, no supporting hoses, rod ends, fixings, etc.) Not sure what my plan is regarding rod ends yet, if it'll be a cut cut weld weld job or if I can modify the hubs to support Golf platform rod ends. Golf platform rod ends: M16X1.5 Felicia Platform rod ends: M12X1.5 Any input on this is welcome.
  37. I bought my Felicia at spring 2000 with Green G11 inside and after many years i change it to Blue G11 because i could find more quality products (Repsol, Motul etc). The majority (and maybe all) of new mechanics since they don't know the Felicia or don't want to bother more they suggest G12 ''because the sensors can read better" or ''all the Skoda now are using G12" as they have told me. I have tested G12 for few months and i didn't notice any difference to G11, i didn't like the idea and i flush it so i am using G11 for about 20,5 years and i don't see why should i change it since i have an old design (Favorit) motor.
  38. I've wondered about this too. It used to be possible in my previous car, and I found it really useful 👍
  39. Yes they are lovely when new but over time the image breaks up and becomes a blurry mess. Last year i changed to the ones that say "superb" instead of the skoda emblem and the drivers door one is already feint, becoming a round light with superb just readable. shame
  40. Yes, MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T is the latest version available. @Frko your unit does not support SmartLink, none update SW will have it enabled, you must have your unit changed, e.g. to 5Q0035842C. If you are interested pls contact me on PM. All others pls check your PM.
  41. It was an ex demo so it had about 1000 miles on it. To be honest, it's the worst experience I've ever had with a car. The software is shocking, skoda are useless and most of the staff at the dealership are about as useful as a waterproof t-bag! It should be gone in the next couple of months so I'm just ignoring any issues now, unless they're major of course.
  42. I agree with all that you say, I took issue when the lessee after being rebutted (unreasonably IMO) by Skoda decided that the leasing company were in the wrong for not recognising the fault after stating that his concern was he would be charged for the rust when he handed the vehicle back: Got a call from Skoda Finance (aka VWFS), the owners of the vehicle. The guy politely told me to **** off. Normal wear and tear. Email confirmation of the conversation. I do “have the right to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service”. Utter, utter nonsense that they won’t accept it’s not right .
  43. If your car is hard to start when warm, you can trace the issue to one or more several potential faulty components, for example: Clogged air filter Corroded or loose battery terminal or cable Corroded or loose engine ground connection Vapor lock in the fuel system Faulty fuel system Engine control system problems One or more electrical sensors https://axleaddict.com/auto-repair/My-Car-is-Hard-to-Start-When-Warm
  44. I presume that is a low roof poptop type Eriba? When I used to tow my Esterel Caravane Rigipliante the MPG barely dropped at all.

Hello and welcome to Briskoda, from a fellow Mk1 Fabia Ambiente owner, only mine is a 1.2 12v 64 model.
  46. We have a 2014 Octavia Vrs 184 Tdi & tow a 2008 Eriba Troll 552 GT, regularly average 38-40 mpg going back & forth from the North East to the Lake District at motorway speeds, good stable towcar with plenty of poke in reserve....😁
  47. Recently saw a karoq (older production model as it had a badge on rear door instead of skoda lettering) with full LED rear headlights - I've got a 2019 sportline with full LED headlight option but only rear stop light is LED, reversing and blinker lights use halogen bulbs. Maybe it was an aftermarket fit since his reversing/blinker lights consisted out of several visible diodes? Is there a full official LED option pack for karoq (with no halogen bulbs at all)?
  48. Not done much to my car this week as I’m waiting on some small parts to arrive, but have really enjoyed having my car driving well again after the recent repairs I’ve done. Happy boy That said, the car still sounds a bit blowy, so took a other look at the down pipe repair and no black soot, so not blowing there. Not happy with this I looked back through the pictures I took and did notice the below 😱 …. what looks like a nice crack in the turbo manifold 😞 So I grabbed the KKK turbo that’s sat on my shelf in my garage and it doesn’t look like air could escape from here, but gonna have to take a proper look when I do the head swap & cambelt change in the coming weeks. I did quickly clean up the valves I removed from the head off the doner engine, cleaned more rubbish off the gearbox and that’s about it But, just for a change I was on Brisky the other day at the right time and place to come across some rocking horse p00p, but I’ll just leave the below picture for now….. My car is due it’s bi-annual interior strip and clean, which I’m gonna make a start on once I’ve finished my coffee in a minute …..
