  1. Please forgive this minor flaw, I'm a bit tired.
  2. It's difficult to say anything without being online, try this: Byte 10 = HEX 12 Byte 11 = HEX 02 Byte 12 = HEX 00 Byte 13 = HEX 88 Byte 14 = HEX 0A Byte 15 = HEX 00 Byte 16 = HEX 2F Byte 19 = HEX E4 Byte 20 = HEX 01 Byte 21 = HEX 20 Byte 22 = HEX 81 Byte 23 = Hex 00 Byte 24 = HEX 9E
  3. Driving down to Spain. Are you aware that it is illegal to change a wheel on French motion. If you get a puncture on a French motorway (autoroute), do not attempt to change the tyre yourself on the hard shoulder, as it is extremely dangerous and illegal to do so. Instead, follow the official ASFA Safety Advice to pull over, evacuate safely behind the barrier, and call for authorized towing assistance via an orange SOS box or by dialing 112. Immediate Safety Steps Pull over safely: Move your car as far to the right onto the hard shoulder as possible and turn on your hazard warning lights. Gear up: Put on your high-visibility safety vest before stepping out of the vehicle (required by French law for all occupants). Evacuate the car: Have all passengers exit via the right-hand side (away from traffic) and climb over the safety barrier. Set up a warning triangle: Place the warning triangle about 30 to 100 meters behind the vehicle only if you can do so safely without exposing yourself to traffic. Calling for Help Use SOS phones: Walk behind the safety barrier to the nearest orange emergency SOS phone box (placed every 2 km). This automatically connects you to the motorway operating company's control center. Call 112: If using a mobile phone, dial 112 or use the SOS Autoroute app if downloaded beforehand. Official recovery only: Under French law, private or insurance-dispatched recovery trucks are not allowed onto the motorway hard shoulder. You must use the official towed rescue dispatched via the orange phones or 112, which operates on a fixed government-regulated tow fee. They will tow your vehicle to a nearby safe area (aire) or off the motorway exit, where you can then contact your insurance or a mobile service like Emergency Tyre France for a replacement. If you'd like, share: Your exact location or route number (e.g., AP-7 / A9 border area) Whether you have a usable spare tyre or tire sea
  4. If you can find a 35w kit with metal base burners and small slim ballasts and it will all fit inside the headlight unit. You'll then need to code the lights in the bcm as xenon without shutters.

There’s another catch on each of the stalks accessible by pressing the seat upholstery down around the retaining clips……..
  6. Hey legend, you did it! Thanks a bunch!! @Cairus The only one I didnt change now is 23 = 00 as its for front and awd, i left it at front wheel as its front wheel.
  7. 1989 is the latest software. Picture shows last three update versions.
  8. I always get my Bosch Wiper Blades off Amazon, good price ( a lot cheaper than what Skoda quote about 50% cheaper) and quick delivery.
  9. As I said, you don't need to replace both tyres if the other is in good, new condition. I don't know about you, but my tyres wear pretty evenly on both axles - anything else is an alignment issue. The reason for putting new tyres on the rear of the car is not because it loses grip first, but rather because of the event losing grip at the rear causes. Understeer is reasonably predictable and straightforward to recover. Oversteer, on the other hand, can be sudden and is much more difficult for the average driver to recover from. I've done my ARDS course, along with a few other things, and would far rather understeer than the snap oversteer my vRS exhibits at the limit. The Karoq is indeed not a performance vehicle, but driving through standing water at 70mph on a soaking wet motorway, I know which tyres I'd rather have. As with everything, every example is unique and requires the application of common sense. The general rule of thumb, as I said above, is to not mix tyre brands, types or wear, and to fit new tyres to the rear axle.
  10. I bought a space saver spare wheel from the Wheel Shop when I got my Karoq with 17" wheels. I was confused over which size spare to buy so rang them. They advised me to buy the 18" space saver which I did. I have used it a couple of times without any problems. I am changing my car tomorrow for another Karoq which has 18" wheels and intend putting the 18" spare I bought from the Wheel Shop in that car. Anything bigger than 18" will not fit in the wheel well nor will a full size spare without lifting the boot floor higher. You don't get the foam surround for the various tools but they fit neatly into the fabric bag supplied. This fits into one of the storage compartments in the boot. I found the Wheel Shop good to deal with and helpful. Hope this helps.
  11. Thus is the factory fit Space Saver spare, fitting kit and tools in my 4x4 Sportline. It’s a shallow wheel well due to different rear suspension and rear axle. 2wd Karoqs may have a lower boot floor. It’s a 125/70 R18 tyre. The boot floor it’s on the polystyrene and is approximately 1 inch below the opening.
  12. Remember that it is a 'should' not a 'must not'' In certain circumstances it would be far more dangerous to have to jack the car up twice to do the switch from rear to front, not to mention the physical effort, than it would be to drive with the space saver on the front. You just need to drive appropriately as there may be less grip.
  13. Thanks for your reply. As I said it’s brand new so been extra careful not to hit kerbs and avoid potholes so nothing like that. I checked the tree pressure but will check the wheel bolts and get it touch with Škoda to see what they say.
  14. Turns out this add was worse than that, from what I can tell it was a flat out scam; the seller provided fraudulent maintenance reports. Real Mechanic, fake invoices. Called up the garage and the owner was not pleased and planed to call law enforcement over it.

  16. Actually i saw vw, cupra and superb on the internet showing 2 or 3 lanes. I add two screenshots which shows the three lanes for superb.
  17. From the Karoq Skoda manual. "Wheel changes. For uniform wear on all tyres, we recommend that you change the wheels every 10,000 km according to the schedule. Advice for tyre assembly. › With directional tires, the correct direction of rota- tion must be observed. The direction of rotation of the tyres is marked by arrows on the wall of the tyre. › Always replace the tyres by the axle." But hey, what do Skoda and practically every other car manufacturer and tyre fitting company know about it? You do what you think is right for your own safety and that of all your family!
  18. Thanks for the reply Rbz5416. I agree about the full size spare however my way of thinking is I would like to be in a position where I could change the wheel and get off of a motorway or remote location for safety with family in the car to a tyre centre or even a hotel.
  19. If driving long distance I'd want a full size spare. No idea why but neither the wheel width nor tyre profile are specified on that 17". Possibly also worth mentioning that Skoda don't offer a 17" space-saver, only 16 & 18", so there could be an insurance issue using one. Best bet would be to find a same size wheel, both diameter & width, as fitted to the car, as that takes some of the pressure off of finding an immediate replacement should you get a puncture. One thing to note is that a full width wheel will eat into boot space.
  20. It really does make life easier if you remove the handbrake cable - just flick it out using a screwdriver, clean the lever and grease it and the ball end of the cable - I do this every 2 years when I service/clean the brakes. The handbrake cable can then be removed from its mounting on the calliper, so apply a bit of "squeezing" effort to its locking sleeve and push it back out of its mounting. Just my suggestions for the "next time".

Right hand vehicles seem to usually come out about 6 months after LHD. KPMG, think it was, calculated that RHD vehicles cost 6% more to make than LHD, presumably due to the much lower volumes made. Epiq looking like a possible car for next year to have instead of my Scenic. Need good rear seat space occasionally which Renault 5 has not got but I can forgive it as it is so sweet.
  22. This update has given logos to all stations on my Audi MiB2. Best update yet for me 😁
  23. If there is a 'Split-screen' setting on your head unit, switching display to that should show the number of Satellites in view - E.g. a satellite icon and x-x for number in view and signal strength. If insufficient satellites are being received, plotted position will be fairly random.
  24. The actual antenna is prone to corrosion and loosing signal over time. Mine was changed under warranty.
  25. Went down for a smoke (yeah, I know) and took a picture ... this is as down as they go. Calculate around 1in higher than the seat stitching (leather), depends how high sits yer kid.
  26. Yeah, that's never coming out. I'm guessing they tack welded it to the frame before they put the skin panel on. - Best suggestion would be a rivnut.
  27. Yep, gave me a hell of a fright the first time it happened. Thought I’d hit something 😂
  28. For everyone interested, I put the newest versions ALL in ONE link: MIB3_Skoda_SW_1941_1969_1985_1989 I upgraded with this files one by one, no issues. Hope it helped.
  29. There's more to ECO mode than you might realise. It changes the throttle response as well as the fuelling map. When driving, coasting preserves momentum as engine braking is eliminated. I find ECO mode less useful than I previously did, now I've learned to use cruise control more effectively. IMO cruise control is better for economical driving than ECO mode, though I do use ECO now and then.
  30. Did you speak to them all? Gosh, yes. We wouldn't want to be an alarmist nay sayer would we.
  31. Using the old key and barrel in new lock..display showing immobiser fault and won't start but turns over. Problem started when car left after shopping trip and wouldnt start when i returned and showed immobiliser fault.
