Black smoke, poor acceleration in my SDI
Well, from what you've actually told us I can't know the reason, but black smoke normally indicates the engine is overfuellling.

@e-Roottoot I don't claim to know what roads you're on, because you never said!

Welcome to ISA - (intelligent speed assistance limiter) - UK to follow EU adoption on new cars - great new safety measure or Big Brother ?
When did I make either of those statements? (hint, I didn't )

Well, either you're not actually doing 60mph, or the HGVs do not have legal speed limiters which must be set to no more than 56mph. Coaches are allowed to do over 60mph on motorways.

prolonged idling
And, indeed, the vast majority of off-peak bus journeys. Based on this computer having been in a window over-looking a bus stop for the last 6 months. Now, if we reduce the size of the bus to something that will carry 4 passengers, and then allow for the fact such a sized vehicle has only been allowed to carry people from 1 household for the last 18 months, so it that will about half the passenger mpg it could have done, which reduces them to about 15 passenger mpg...

Not as much as STP would get from you doing so.

The guy does just about have a point; 2 passengers will mean about 25 passenger miles per gallon.

Engine sudden stop and all alarms go off
I see your logic, but a modern "smart" charging system sometimes turns the alternator off to "save fuel".

Replacement Front Springs for Combi Sportline
No there isn't; I've got 7 choices including front or rear coils. Of course I am using a computer and not a "smart" phone...

Advice please for tyre/wheel size for 1 ton load trailer
Not sure; what I do know is that the offset dimension is the distance from the hub mounting face to the centreline of the wheel, and you may need an offset dimension to get the correct track. This may be stated in the specifications for your new trailer axle.

2 simple Scala questions
And? I mean it may "feel nice" to put your elbows on arm rests or the window sill, but in the UK it's an offence (Actually under Motor Vehicle Construction and Use regulations).

Noob question - Cleaning car mats
Once you've got them out, and before hanging them on the line etc, literally bang them together or individually bang them against a wall. After that, but whilst they're still dry, try a vacuum cleaner on them.

Engine sudden stop and all alarms go off
OK, check the battery clamps properly, both of them, and where they should crimp onto the cables as well as where they bolt to the battery posts. Oh and if I'm right, go to your service centre, ask to see the dealer principal, and ask him why a guy from the far side of Europe could diagnose the issue and his "technicians" couldn't.

Bonnet release cable
I think you've not pulled the inner cable tight enough in the bonnet catch then. It's like bicycle brakes if that helps.

FS III Brake hardware.
The FSIII caliper literally has those characters cast into the caliper, about 25 mm high.

How many miles should I get out of Michelin CrossClimates (and/or other tyres)?
And the correct answer is "it depends", on your driving style, what you use the car for, the abrasiveness of your local road surfaces, having the correct tyre pressures for the vehicle and tyres...
- Lots of faults.

2.0tfsi faults codes please help !
Depends; some hiss if the engine will run, other need a manual inspection and not just a visual because there is no way to see right round them short of dismantling.

What type of engine I have ?
...and, back where you came in, that's what you need a pcv delete for. The place you bought the original one for may allow you credit for price less shipping for the "wrong" kit.

That, after which, in order of probability:- Worn out clutch slave cylinder leak master cylinder leak Checking (1) and (2) are both gearbox out jobs, and changing the one can include inspecting the other for about 10 minutes time. Replacing (2) could cause (3) in a couple of months (based on experience).
