  1. Not as such; it's a well known and documented technique for leak tracing.
  2. I even used quotes around technician.
  3. Halfrauds banned from carrying out MoTs, check. The reason being that the "technician" clearly did not check for headlight washers and auto leveling equipment before issuing a spurious fail.
  4. So do I. I can assure you, from personal experience, that the pretensioners get the belts tighter than you ever will in the event of a crash.
  5. New post, or even posts, please. The number of posts you can make is effectively infinite (vis my 36_900), and it's easier to follow posts with one subject each.
  6. Use the chassis number. More generally, the full build options sticker should be on the boot floor.
  7. Dunno; any manual VAG I've driven under 20 years old has an overrun shutoff as long as the engine is gauge hot and over 1_200 rpm. This uses even less fuel than coasting.
  8. Do it, and never use the main stealer again!
  9. This description is of a purely mechanical function of an inertial real seat belt. Your fuses relate to seat belt pre-tensioners, which I sincerely hope you'll never need, but you'll be very grateful for should you ever be involved in a crash with a relative closing speed above 10 mph.
  10. It's A Prestone premix for GM vehicles. Do not use in VAG vehicles. not ever, and indeed do not use in Stelantis vehicles either without an approval from one of their master technicians.
  11. Dodgy but not totally broken engine earth or battery connector?
  12. @jamessharr @varooom Maybe the type of the turbo, since that may not be original?
  13. Answering that requires an actual inspection of the leak, the sensor and its seal.
  14. Er why? A tube or tub of Firegum would seem more useful when fitting a new exhaust.
  15. I don't think so; that seems to have been there a while.
  16. Check the engine number, the VIN or the specification sticker (boot or manual).
  17. Ideally you'd have both; they actually do have different applications.
  18. CANBus issue; I've seen similar faults on other makes too.
  19. Get that in writing, preferably from the Dealer Principal and/or a Master Technician.
  20. OP last visited 2 years ago, and may not even have this car.
  21. This should work:- Remove the lighting wiring from the bulbs Undo the bolts and remove the cluster Remove the relevant bulb Hold the cluster bulb side down and shake the insect out Refit is the reverse of removal.
