Op has not said whether vehicle has direct or indirect TPMS - more likely to be indirect, as direct type is usually a cost option. If indirect type, there aren't any sensor batteries as the TPMS data comes from the ABS wheel sensors.

In fact, I believe I've seen past quotes of £1.2 to £1.4K for the 1.5ACT!

Insufficient satellites being received is most likely reason or signal strength too low.

A bit of a revival after 7 years! From my understanding, the GPS antenna connection is to the infotainment unit in the glove compartment - the unit in the dashboard is just the display.

Check how many satellites are being received by the onboard GPS - on the Amundsen MIB2 system, this data can be seen when the display is in split-screen mode. I suspect that you may have a GPS antenna fault.

If the car is new, there is a possibility that the transit blocks were not removed during the PDI - appears to be a far too common oversight.

I had Continental Contacts (all season) fitted to the Octavia earlier this year because I tired of swapping summers and winters - they seem pretty good to me. I was looking for good wet performance combined with reasonable cold-weather traction.

It really shouldn't be that harsh at the pressures you're running on 16s - is this car new?

I would normally prefer to run rears a little higher (around 0.2bar) than fronts, 39psi is approx. 2.7bar, which is getting up towards 'Eco' pressures. I was unable to find credible reviews later than 2020 for Arduzzo - but they were rated at 2nd bottom (D) for wet performance by WhatTyre then - if that is close to present tyres, which appears likely, I'd consider it an extremely bad idea to have the front mix you have now!

What pressures are you running, front and rear?

Those pressures on 16" wheels sound more like 'Eco' setting to me - do you have the tyre pressure label inside the fuel flap?

It's practically a certainty that your current reduced mileage and DPF issues are not a coincidence. The excess oil will have been diesel fuel from failed regens.

On the image you posted, there are instructions under 'Note' on how to reset it.

No mention in the .Gov test manual. Autodoc says not normally tested - but if rear wiper is standard factory fitment and considered essential due to installed mirrors not giving sufficient view to rear, may be tested.

I'm pretty sure that it's not a fail. Off to check.

Have you tried the reset procedure stated on the interface label?

Your fuel consumption figures should decrease a couple of tics too.

Minimum 2 bar is approx. 30psi, possibly you need to prime your bleeding kit higher.

Try pressing the RH side of the ODO rocker switch to confirm reset.

Was the fuel spray coming from the leak-off pipe - or from a faulty injector?
