  1. I believe in your case the GPS signal is from the Android device.
  2. Hello, welcome to the forum. I do not know for sure - but I would consider it highly unlikely that there are any differences in the front panels - that would not make any sense, cost-wise, for manufacturing.
  3. Hello Pikaa, welcome to the forum. What mileage has the car covered? If high, oil is probably getting past either the valve-stem seals or piston rings. I'd have thought that 0.5L in 2000km would be showing some smoke, particularly on the overrun - although being a TDI, this might sometimes be a little difficult to see.
  4. Good morning, a compression test would be a logical starting point - then, depending on the results of that, check the valve timing, then the coil packs. Have you had the CV valve joint fixed yet?
  5. Intermittent or short spells of running, such as you will very likely get from the ICE in a PHEV, will be much worse than sustained running from an IC engine alone.
  6. Hello, I'd suggest starting with a good service with oil and filters, including new plugs and see where you are after that - it could just need a good run out.
  7. Hello, welcome to the forum. Bit of a late starter, huh?
  8. I'm not entirely sure what version firmware I'm running - but to my knowledge, it may well be the original from late 2015.
  9. I would estimate that a significant part of the problem is people who fit LEDs into headlight units that were not designed for this type of light source - which is illegal in the UK anyway.
  10. Just a point - are you zooming-in on the area? A lot of map detail is missing until you do so because of the way map details are layered.
  11. My version is on a 32GB card - which I believe you will need for this version.
  12. I'd have thought it would be highly unlikely - looking at the two setups, the mountings appear to be quite different. Although the torsion beam setup gets a fair bit of stick from some quarters - it should be noted that a recently produced hyper car uses it.
  13. Hello, welcome to the forum. The 1st image is the torsion beam rear axle fitted to smaller engined vehicles, I believe that the 2nd image is the multi-link, IRS version fitted to the VRS.
  14. I can see the village named on my maps - Ver. 5L00051236DH - ECE AS 2024; - it is there.
  15. Can someone confirm (or debunk) the theory that excessive plug electrode gaps puts extra stress on the ignition coils?
  16. The snapped-off hose looks to be the crankcase PCV - wouldn't that affect inlet mixture?
  17. I'd like to see a measure of those electrode gaps.
  18. I'm reasonably sure that the automatic levelling system will operate from the basepoint set on the manual adjustment knobs - so your new manual settings should stay the same.
  19. I suggest getting the compression tested first.
  20. Even with a 'fly by wire' throttle, there will be an end stop on the pedal potentiometer - the throttle tap may help to eliminate this as the cause.
  21. The oil pressure switch will almost certainly only warn of a loss of pressure - not excessive pressure. I'd have thought that there would be a visual warning in addition to the OBD fault if the regulating valve had failed.
  22. Hello Rob, does you unit have a single slot for a SD slot and one for a CD ? If the SD card is in place, it should protrude very slightly from the slot.
  23. I'm not positive - but my best guess is that the oil pump is rated to supply a certain minimum pressure at idling speed - the pressure regulator valve would then bleed-off excess pressure as engine speed rises, to prevent possible damage to seals from overpressure.
  24. I'm not sure how that can work, my MIB2 Amundsen screen displays the message 'Map Data Unavailable' when the map SD card is removed.
  25. Hello, welcome to the forum. Can you confirm your infotainment system, is it Amundsen MIB1? Are you sure that your sat nav is working without the SD card? Are you able to actually able to use it to navigate to a particular point - or is it simply displaying a general area map of the vehicles current position?
