  1. My daughters Colour edition doesnt have it.
  2. Go to a different dealer and trade it in.
  3. For me this would depend on the kind of mileage you do, if you do a fair bit of long distance i would ALWAYS go with a spare, if its local stuff repair sealant would be sufficient.
  4. Screws that fight trade unions....NICE
  5. Do you put it at the camera end or the power source end?
  6. I have noticed in the last year that DAB reception in my area (E Yorks and Humber) is particularly bad, other areas im fine, it COULD be an issue with our regional transmitter.
  7. Not sure about VAG cars, but i do know from experience that lower powered cars with autoboxes allow the car to roll, as the car doesn't always have the oomph to allow for holding on the gearbox or creep when on a hill. bigger engined cars will normally have enough torque to allow for hill holding. This is gained from experience over multiple makes and models
  8. Even if the battery is fine, check the connectors to the battery, if one is loose (The terminals can change shape over time) then this can cause a problem as you will not be able to get enough current to start the car.
  9. This sounds like it could be combination of things, the sensor would be causing the engine light, but a failing battery could cause glow plug and start/stop errors, which for the age of the car is about right. Also check the coolant tank for a silica bag (tank will say 'mit silikat' on it), if the bag has split, it could cause cooling issues. I of course defer to those more knowledgeable than I.
  10. I used my Daughters Citygo yesterday to drop her off at the train station, when winding the window down, the motor appeared to fail half way down and wouldn't go up or down. After a couple of minutes it started working again. It was a very warm day and im wondering of the motor overheated and a thermal cutoff kicked in. Has anyone else had this issue?
  11. My daughters Colour edition comes with privacy glass, if its a factory fitted option then you do not need to inform your insurance.
  12. Scroll the right wheel, and it gives you the option to hang up if you press it.
  13. I removed mine quite easily, it is held to the side my two plastic pillars. I bent the one to the front over with a screwdriver and wriggled the bag past it. I could then pull it out carefully with some needle nose pliers.
  14. I gave the sleeve and cable a squirt of GT85 and with a bit of fiddly wrangling it pushed through. It is a PITA.
  15. I did exactly as you describe, but as soon as i put the road name in, it opens my contacts, Its not really a bother (in fact its rather amusing) as i tend not to use the voice command. Still would like to get my firmware updated though
  16. Hi All, Here's a fun one.... I used the voice command for the first time on my vRS today (MIB2.5) and asked for navigation to a local street. The unit then opened my contacts and found the closest name in my contacts to the street i asked for, then asked if i wanted direction to my sister Lucy! I assume this is a software glitch!
  17. Yes mine is the MQB, and everything is working perfectly.
  18. Have just fitted my Sinosmart camera, it works brilliantly. Very happy chap
  19. Sounds bloody expensive to me!
  20. Could it be a cover for the wiper mounting point for LHD vehicles?
  21. Better to use a bike chain lubricant like GT40 or a silicone lubricant. WD40 is a water displacement fluid that smells of fish
  22. I have the Thule wingbar that sticks through, used them on my Superb and on my current Octavia, excellent bit of kit.
