While waiting for 21mm spacers in 42draft design style to be made-light with cuts to be able to mount new wheels instead of 9ld 15mmones I did some pre work on broken headlights to see how will my latest idea look like. I had headlights with integrated repeater and dotted DRL like early audi style. I reworked them and did put bixenon 6000K projector into the existing lense to have focused low/high beam. But that old audi style leds bordered me so I digged this out

1. Bought 70mm cob led ring with plastic cover-not to be seen when off

2. Due to the fact that the rings are yellow when off I searched for latest development and bought jdmtoy ones-only ones not so yellow when turned off

Those mother f.....s spec are

COB-type high power LED halo rings

New V3 design (no more ugly yellow when the LED ring is not lit)

Made with high power COB-type LED lights

3-4 times brighter than conventional CCFL Halo Rings

Content: 2 pieces of LED halo rings

Color: 7000K xenon white

Than I went after DRL continuous one like new audi style and found these beauties that even lights amber for turn signal

It has 6 rings.

2 arround each projector and one in each fog lamp.

So lets talk about spacers.

I had to replace old 15mm ones wheelcentric fitted to TSW Catalunya for 21mm to be paired with new TSW Sochi in order to retain 65mm clearance from disc to the inner edge of the wheel rims-to have right clearance for big calipers.

Making 21mm spacers isn't big deal but I always wont something special so I decided to go 42draftdesign route-made pockets for weight reduction by 30% and improved look.

Finally went for my coils installation.

We started at the front end and discovered that the front right spindle is deformed.

That means that on the impact side damaged were:

coil

LCA

driveshaft

spindle

So front end was postponed until new spindle is prepped.

I bought a set of Audi TT y2004 spindles.

They will be sand blasted, CNC milled from 74 to 75mm for bigger bearing from A4 with double inner measurement which allos greater axial load. Than powder coated into glossy black.

We went for the rear end.

Removed old springs and coils, did put some new OE shims and coils

So if front end not working I expected rear to be peace of cake.

But when I tried to put on new wheels we realised that they can't be fitted-contact with brake caliper-that just proved what my eye was telling me that despite new design and rotary forged process and outer inner edge displaced more towar inner wheel edge that the oppening diameter inside the wheels somehow looks smaller that it should be on 19"

they had 1cm on each side of the wheel center-meaning new wheels have 2cm smaller wheel center space!!!!!

Whou could know that. I expected that to be standardized size and no circus dimenssions like now!!!!

 

So we had to remove some of the rear brake caliper material like here, and that is still not finished

I was completely crazy.

Finally decided to spent decent amount of money to replace heavy with superlight wheels-decreased rotary mass and quality coils: did replace D2 with HR and expected nothing but flowles installation.

But ussed that to buy caliper paint RED and will paint them to match front red Brembos hehehe-already bought the paint.

Also finally managed to find socket head M12 x80mm BZP high grade 12.9 bolts for my Brembos because black ones I've got from Vandit performance rusted all out.

 

We did put new wheels for some time to check fender clearance

and checked some clearance first in the air

and than on the ground jumping over the open trunk.

 

For the moment due to the fact rear beam has ben replaced and jet not centered and camber is still not set with the SPC shims to -1.5 as before it seems that the whole brear beam is shifted a little toward left where we tested it and thus it seems little to much out of the fender, but le't see it after final adjustments.

 

As for the front end it sits for now on OE springs and coils-seems 2cm out of the fender.

I have to wait to put new coils on and my Groundcontrol camber caster plate and dial them in -1.5 or -2 camber and that to see do I only need to bent upward inner fender edge and widen the inner covering plastic for that edge width or should I purchase KFG fenders from Germany that can be preordered 1,2, or more cm wider to be able to accomodate wheels vertical travel.

 

In the mean time I replaced whle front end after putting it back into the measures and replaced all the conventional bolts on my oil cooler and intercooler with washers that I already ussed on fenders-look some pages back.

Didn't put Neuspeed rear anti sway bar because its holders were damaged and rusted.

So I sent them to be sand blasted and powder coated in glossy black.

Bought all new bolts  high grade 12.9 and zinc plated but with socket head to replace original rusted ones and only thing left to replace or to remove rust is sway bar end links.

But men I escaped 200usd cost of getting that whole kit together as on the picture.

I did spend some 25gbp on bolts, powdercoating will be for free-frined of mine adn sway bar links are still to do.

So car is rolling. All mechanical work has been done. Now it's painting time. Did prepair plastic stuff:bumper,gfk 2.5cm wider fender,grille etc...had to prepair both right side doors and rear right end-someone ussed them as a paper to sign it with the key.

Plans are fine dyno tuning due to the large sem motorsport intake hopefully with Clive's new BBT K300 hybrid-best and cheapest among good ones!!!!!

And yes I am thinking of replacing JBS mani for Bartek one-guy worked in Toyota F1 team.

Flange is cut. Not like atp and other cheap stuff. Remember having similar one-withcracked turbo bolt hole-exhaust smoke was comming from underhood space but when I was ussing it while waiting for ceramic coating of jbs car had instant throttle response (also now has it) but that V6 sound was amazing....everybody turned heads when I was pushing the gas pedal so people must be right when saying flow restrictions for jbs-especially at the end of runner on turbo side.

I planned to go to the guy who did all my dyno setups Matjaz Ogrinc www.rsrmotorspprt.com but he has sold part needed for 1.8T or just fulling me.

Remote tuning is that possibble???

Meaning I am on the dyno in Croatian9r Slovenia and someone does it for me?

Like r-tech or who???

Prices for custom dyno mapping?

Reccomendations?

1.roof lining retrimed in black and nano protected by Gtechniq

2. Cleaned and nano protected A,B,C new black pillars

3. Led lights on black roof light

4. Cleaned and nano protected Seats,Door pannels and dashboard

5. Wheels,calipers and windshield Will be done today

6. Gtechniq cristal serum ultra 10H with 10y waranty Will be aplied to paint

7. ColorMFD from Russia is going to be installed soon
