At the moment it has 290hp and 407Nm but tuning is not finished.. waiting for Bosch EV14 550cc 52lb injectors next week ...but datalogging shows on  0,65 bar boost and 6600 rpm pessure drop 180 mbar at 512 kg/h air flow ...we have to fix that. He even thinks that same paper or towel is left somewhere in hoses.....strange but You never know

If needed he Will flow bench everything (yes he has and know how to use that machine).....also he ofered water cooling With IC from AMG V12 as on picture,pump and cooler,all together smaller than curent FMIC setup and way more efective. Btw Golf 7 GTD inlet air temperature 180C and outlet 45C. You all know what cool dense air means for tuning

Wagner tuning FMIC are supplied with flow bench data unlike any other.

That's what I call German made

I know he is doing great stuff with cars, but is that strange that he will put one FMIC map the car and then return your.

 

In that case, it will affect ignition etc? Wagner is fine, so if that is my car, I would wait for wagner then do another map.

No....You make map on best condition - Water cooled system...than You can use it or downgrade to Wagner or even old Forge FMIC. They Lower the flow and decrease cooling-thus Lower the power. No effect on ignition.

He has remaped golf 7 R to 360hp and With Wagner only upgrade and same map it made 381hp. So no ignition afection...Just better flow and cooling-making more power and ecu is making auto adjustment to that regarding fuel etc

sorry, I do not understand what are U saying, because if it is less air, then there is more fuel that needs to be removed.

 

And U are saying, he will relay on ecu to downgrade fuel (and with less fuel and air it will auto correct timing). What is the point of maping car with one, then downgrade to other...

 

But again, he does know what he is doing, so let's wait and see

I hope that he knows what he is doping. So far he has proved that he knows very well. Will se power gain on water cooling and than with forge FMIC. It already had 290hp with old injectors and forge FMIC.  Hope to get healty 300hp. Strange that Forge can't keep up to the task. Any other experience regarding Forge FMIC pushing 300hp??

As much the boost and flow are decreased that much less goes the fuel. Still optimal but with much less power and torque 

That is how it works.

Nothing to do with timing.

Latest update with AMG V12 water cooled intercooler at the very begining  it measured 302hp and 412Nm, Max drop pressure at 7000rpm is ONLY 10mbar-practically no flow restriction, and Max temperature of intake air is 40C at 302hp. Than at very begining emulator locked-license expired. Had to wait till monday. He borowed it from German tuner only for my car and we renewed his licence for Short period-2 weeks only. He is not any more doing 1.8T. So at monday further water cooled tuning update. Hope You like it guys. Nice weekend to all of You. I went swimming yesterday here

To the SMIC OE location-in the front of the front right wheel

Heat exchanger in the front below register plate and pump and overflow tank in between

And old FMIC out of the car
