I was doing a single stage machine polish prior to applying a ceramic coating. It is good practice to tape up badges, seals etc to protect them when polishing to avoid damage.

:) Ah, I see.
I was struggling to understand how masking the rear badge would help you paint it!

Why are the wing ‘vents’ on that silver Octavia at different heights and squint?  Just take them off.

Perhaps he's fitted a 345bhp Ford Focus RS engine and needs them for cooling. But I suspect he thinks they look cool.:tongueout:

I do have a soft spot for Scoobies as I had a classic running 400 on Meth, too used to getting 40mpg plus these days to go back to running something like that daily though, although I do miss the noise 😂😂

Came on this very thread to see if anyone had fitted bronze/gold alloys to their Skoda yet.

On the verge of getting my wheels done, but no idea what colour to go. Rio Red (Maroon) car isnt really great for matching up with. Silver is annoying me now, and black is anbit cheap. Gunmetal grey would just be the same as everyone else.

Bronze alloys can look quite nice IMO, both of the above suit the cars well.

However, they also have a tenancy that when the car is dirty or starts to age a little, they look cheap and tasty.

But like gold itself...  It's a precious metal but if not worn well looks tacky.
