pretty easy if you have the correct pump

unfortunately a lot of skodas don't, skodas are cheaper than VWs and this is one area where the penny pinching has been done.

I changed my pump from a BK to a BJ

price difference on new pumps is nearly £500

for me I bought a used one for £80 and fitted it myself

That was one thing I wanted on the Octy 2 - it's standard on the Octy3 vRS. I have often found myself rolling back whilst driving SWMBO's Furby    If I hit something, it wasn't me - you understand?

How can I tell whether my car has a compatible brake module to enable HHC? Is it needed to connect to VCDS to find out or are certain engine variants compatible and others not?

I'll be grateful for  any clarification.

VCDS autoscan should give you the answer.

No fault code found.

Now let's check Eddie-NL's list;

1K0-907-37?-AJ ; MK60EC1 (PR-1AT, UG1/UG4)

PR-1AT = Electronic Stabilisation Problem (ESP)
PR-UG0 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) OR Comfort Driving Assist NOT installed
PR-UG1 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) installed
PR-UG3 = Comfort Driving Assist installed = XDS
PR-UG4 = Hill Hold Control (HHC) & Comfort Driving Assist installed

It appears I have both HHC and XDS available. I have a manual, so I only enabled XDS in VCDS, seems to be working ok, no errors.

Thanks Too Tall. I'll get it checked on VCDS and use Eddie-NL's helpful list to see if it can be activated. It's not a big deal but if it's there I might as well use it.

Interesting though that some Superbs are compatible and others aren't. I guess there's some logic to it somewhere   Maybe the MY or engine variant determines whether or not the car is built with a compatible brake module.

Sorry for digging out an old thread but need advice before I go ahead with this pump.

So have the current ABS pump in my FL VRS 1K0 907 379 BK which only has XDS installed but missing the HHC :( so thinking of upgrading my pump to have both.

@Eddie-NL I see you had the same pump as mine and upgraded to 1K0 907 379 BJ, is it a easy remove and replace job? Do I need to replace any other part?

Also found the same pump as yours BJ on ebay which has the following part numbers ABS PUMP & CONTROL MODULE 1K0614517DE 1K0907379BJ will this be fine?

Thanks

I am looking to get HHC and XDS+ to my 2010 Skoda Octavia.

My ABS pump code is 1K0 907 379 AK.

Is there any possibility to replace this MK70 with a MK60 part?

Thanks!

Yes but you'll need a rewire it as the MK70M and MK60EC1 take very different electrical connectors.

Is there any real benefit to the XDS? I've tried driving a car with one, the regular 4x4 is doing just fine in extreme situations, this just ads weirdness to the way the car tries to compensate things that shouldn't actually be compensated, feels very unnatural to me ... ?

Hello,

I have en octavia 2011, and want to retrofit HHC, XDS, and i have already succeeded with TPMS.

I have a Question:

This is my ABS:

Styreenhed  03: ABS bremser (J104)     Forklaringsfil:. NEZ\1K0-907-379-60EC1F.clb
   Styreenhedsnr: SW: 1K0 907 379 AS    HW: 1K0 907 379 AS
   Komponent    : ESP MK60EC1   H30 0105
   Revision: 00H30001
   Kodning    : 113B201C09230001881104E990190040340000
   Forhandler    : WSC 36786 001 104857
   VCID: 03538D0FAB12FE5F837-8056

I can see that the AS can nothing but ESP. My Pump is a 1K0-614-517-CA, the car is octavia 2011.

1. My question is if i can buy the ABS electronic 1K0-907-379-BE, and use together with my existing 1K0-614-517-CA ?

2. Some is writing about a hill hold sensor G251 (Is that the inclination sensor ?) and where is that connector attached ?

3. Will i need to make some electrical connections from ABS electronic module to the BCM or the engine ECU ?

4. I have succesfully enabled tpms via vcds, and plan to fit a button, and read in a guide that the wire from tpms button should go to pin 27 on the abs module, but pin 41 if hill hold was enabled. Is that because pin 27 is occupied ? But the car is born without hhc and tpms.

Thanks in advance for your always competent answers :)

Mikkel

yes i had it and HHC enabled on my superb and it works quite well but only when really being a bit of a loon such as hard powering out of corners or roundabouts when you can really feel the difference as the system stops inner wheel spin but only above about 20mph from what i can tell maybe there is a set speed for it to kick in and the car just plain grips and goes, mines also remapped so it was pretty much a must have to ensure i could use the extra oomph but day to day driving ie traffic lights set offs etc the TC does its thing but not very well

I quite like Hill Hold Control (HHC), had it on a few other Skoda's.

Not possible on my Superb though, looks like I missed out, the next iteration of the ABS pump (BE) got it, but not my BD...
