VCDS options on Superb III

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

Have you someone skills with ambient footwell light like that --> URL

What I will need for that? (VCDS or ODIS, VCP), I have and work with VCDS. Must I change some HW (except light bulbs), but link on specified light bulbwould also be great.

Thanx,

Brgds,

T.

Hello,

I picked up a Superb 3 which  was apparently ex police, that is the reason why the boot will not open except with the remote control fob (not boot switch), I was told.

After downloading latest VCDS and acquiring a genuine cable I've been able to play around with a few things, Gizmo's guide has helped, especially with improving throttle response, and at one point I think I've enabled the boot/tail controller, although the car does not have a self closing boot lid, and now, I can't find the parameter in particular which I need to change back. So that's my first issue, after looking through (I think) all options I can't find where to enable/disable the boot controller, or , disable the boot lid button on the basic boot lid.

My other problem is that the car had previously had ACC cruise control, but when I got it I found it had had a front end repair and a standard grille, not an ACC grille with cutout was fitted. The ACC sensor was removed but it's mount and harness are present. I bought a secondhand ACC/Dist sensor and after doing a few scans seem to have got it addressed properly on the CAN bus, but still seem to have another fault, "Front assist not available". So I guess I need to do some more research there too, possibly calibrate it.

Any help appreciated, (especially with the boot lid (I've checked the wiring to the boot lid inside the rubber shield for broken wires but the harness looks fine)

Cheers

Chris

Is there any way to keep the individual setting on the DCC? After every start I have to go into the dopey unit to select individual. My god the new Columbus is slow, a Pye valve radio from the 60s is faster to start up.

Must b an MY20 onwards feature.

Pre-MY20, it definitely remains in Individual mode, even after turning off the car......until u change it to another mode.

The only thing that doesn't stick in Individual mode is the "Drive" mode selection - it will always revert to Normal.

But everything else like DCC, Steering, ACC will remain.

You have a lot more options available. On mine it's only suspension, drive and aircon that are adjustable. It always defaults to normal mode. The suspension in normal mode is horrible it wallows like a galley ship so much you'd feel car sick and the wheels make this terrible whoosh whoosh noise as the car keeps pitching up and down especially on the motorway. I thought it was bad on the diesel car, it's a million times worse on this car.

Sorry if it's a double post.

How can I calibrate my new ACC sensor (it coded in correctly and seems to be responding) ?

When I go for the VCDS adjustment procedure the unit replies with fault code 7f 2f 81 'Unit has rejected your request'

It would be good to know what adjustment preconditions need to be met, if any

u can not "self-calibrate" ACC.

its a complex, time consuming process, that requires specialist equipment.

HELLO FRIENDS,

  I have Superb 3 year 2016, 3V0920790 which I did Retrofit, but unfortunately for me my AID does not show the map.

I found the coding procedure, but my vehicle does not have these items in the VCDS menu.
Can you tell me what to do to get the map on the virtual cockpit?

Go to Module 17, Coding, Long Coding Helper, Byte 2, Bit 3-6 and change it to 50 Model: Variant A (stock setting is 10 Model: Variant 2):

OPTIONAL: If you'd like needle sweep and lap timer, tick the boxes for Bit 0 and Bit 3 in Byte 1:

Go to Byte 12 and check the box for Bit 2 - Alternative Dimming Function active:

Open module 5F and open Long Coding Helper; go to Byte 22 and uncheck Bit 0 - Instrument Cluster Graphics [STANDARD]:

OPTIONAL: If you don't use the AM band on your radio and you'd like to be able to toggle between FM and Satellite only, tick the box for Bit 3 in Byte 14:

Go to Adaptations in module 5F and change the following channels to the settings below:

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-ability_switch_nav_maps ---> On (enables touch screen switcher)

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-call_picture ---> On

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-fastlist_most ---> On

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_compression_mode ---> H264

Dashboard_Display_Configuration-navigation_map_transmission_mode ---> MOST_streaming

A 2016 Superb would have come with a MIB 2 infotainment system. Maps on VC are only supported by MIB 2.5 versions, which are found in later models (or MIB 3 on the very latest facelift models). Did you upgrade your infotainment system to a MIB 2.5 version too?

Hi,

Do you know how to:
1. Activate warning sound in blind spot detection?
2. Traffic assist - change time when car start ride himself. Now it’s about 5 second and then I must put pedal to start.
3. Set working radio button on the steering wheels without turn on ignition
4. Turn on button to manually spray rear camera. Now it only works with rear wipers.

1. Cannot b done. Unless u hardwire some sort of buzzer, by tapping into the BSM indicator in the wing mirror, and route into the cabin.

2. Cannot b changed.  It's 3 secs, not 5 by the way.

3. Unsure.

4. Unsure.

Strange, I've never seen that "Warning sound" option before, associated to the BSM.

Makes no sense.

It would b very annoying if it dinged everytime a car is in ur blind spot.

Normal operation is for the steering wheel to vibrate (resist) if u try to change lanes with a car in ur blind spot.
