Ere no, the car is always white/silver but, it does show hatchback or estate IIRC

Haha there was me thinking mine was white because my car is white :blush

You're right about hatchback/estate though, there is a different picture on mine for the estate.

According to the live chat folks I finally have some progress! Going to be built wc 5th March (week 10?) - moved from week 26!

My case handler should be calling me on Tuesday, so hopefully they will have the same news. I might let myself get excited if they say the same!

My dealer was supposed to update me last Tuesday following my complaint with them, unsurprisingly they failed to do so.

Turns out Live Chat = Lie Chat! My dealer finally bothered to email me today saying he had no idea when I would get my car, but had tried contacting Skoda to find out. I then thought this is a bit odd and checked with Live Chat this evening to be told I’m now unconfirmed week 17! Allegedly the previous Lie Chat misinformed me about having a confirmed build week.

My case handler should be calling calling me tomorrow, I think I might be having a word with them somehow! If I could get anything close to my deal on a decent motor, I would be cancelling :(

My case handler has been fantastic since she came on board, the sales manager however has been near to useless.
Anyone have any info on picking plates? I understand each dealership gets an allocation that you can potentially choose from?

^^^ That is correct.

So fire off an Email to the Salesperson you deal with or the Head Sales Executive and ask them when they can let you look at what they have available.

Do everything in writing, then you have the reply in writing, or the slow response or none response.

Is that still the case as last couple new cars I've had I wasn't able to choose a plate, they were just allocated on the car being registered in the system.

You should be able to, each dealership gets an allocation before the new plates come out

When did you order ClarkyStu?  Not that it means anything!?

I ordered Oct 9th and still no BW, my dealer is supposed to give me an update tmrw.  My birthday, I am hoping got some good news!

IF you have your build number you can ask the online chat on Skoda UK website to check for you.

They are "usually" quite good and get the info straight away, just saves waiting for the dealer, and also helps if you think they are pulling the wool!

Er... Sadly not... It failed the inspection pretty seriously earlier today! £400 inspection might have just saved me a £10k rebuild!

Back to hunting for a fun toy.

Well, fair play to you for having it checked out - that was a very good call!  Was it the IMS bearings?

It was an issue with something called cam deviation - I've no idea what it means but apparently if it deviates too much engine can have big issues.

Both inspector and Porsche indy I use said the car was too much of a risk.

On the surface the car looked great.

Shame, I help at a Porsche specialist and we just had a 911 in where the timing chain jumped a tooth and caused all kinds of hell  as a guide runner broke.
