I looked for the post following the upset and was expecting it to be funny, but it didn't hit the sport for me.

I think it COULD have been funny.

I had visions of some American Redneck proudly coming back from a fishing trip, with a whale slung over the front of his ship, proudly talking to a friend on the phone saying:

"Chuck, you not going to BELIEVE the size of the one I caught today!", but alas, it was a rather grim tale of some poor whale caught on the front of a ship.

okay, so.... 

explain it to me - 

where is the humour in a story about a dead whale? thats poor taste in the context of this thread. 

if youre of the opinion that your comment about the lawyers added something to it, it didnt.

and the part of my post in relation to the spoiler tool etc, is just meant as a general reminder as on occassion things can be posted which cause offence, and so rather than asking people not to post certain types of humour this is a workable compromise.

Im not easily offended, and most briskodians are not, I would just like this thread to be a spot without arguments.

Given the polite request for contributions to this thread to be humourous I was surprised to see the next one from the recipient was about shipbuilding and I could not see anything remotely humourous within.

 

As for the next response well I have nothing to add to what has already been said.
