they are going to look at the car on Monday

Give it back!

^^^^ What Jamie said ^^^^

Reject it.

Gaz

As above, take it back, contact whoever you pcp is through, and they will help reject the car.

They don’t get called Arnold Shark for no reason :)

Get rid of it buddy, take it back. In that condition, the dealer hasn't got a leg to stand on.

When you started posting a number of questions the other day I did wonder about it.

Sounds like a nasty one to me, keep it and it will continue to cost you money and it will never be 100% right.

This dealer doesn't have a particularly good reputation on this forum.  It it were me, I would reject the car and contact the Trading Standards Department in Glasgow straight away.  No doubt the dealer will try to fob you off but stand your ground and insist on a refund plus your travel and any other costs you have incurred without any delay in payment.

get rid of it and post the registration on here so noone else ends up buying that heap.

best of luck, do you have legal protection on your home insurance or with you bank? threaten the garage with this..

Being the UK you should have a 30 day return policy from memory. Definitely not worth the trouble.

AC seem to have a policy with used cars, if the customers does'nt see it or pull them up about it, then they've got away with it   🤪

i once bought a low mileage demonstrator from them and when i got home i noticed the underside of the sill was all bashed , never thought to look away under there on such a new car, ended up fixing that one  myself.

i also bought another used car from them years ago,the car was outside on a rainy day when i viewed it, so i did'nt see the hail damaged roof and bonnet.

lessen learnt there, never buy a car on a rainy day, unless its an inside showroom .

they do have alot of decent stuff though, but always better to get the overalls on and give the car a right good check before buying .

Never buy from AC, just my opinion.

So happy for you. What a result, want to buy mine?

Give me a day or two to relax hahsTook back car today sales manager refused to return it saying car in good condition and they didn't know it had been in an accident and lights where OK it was just loose bulbs haha phone finance company they said to reject car and leave with the dealer they would contact Arnold Clark head office said it could take up to 5 weeks this was at 11.30am phone call at 15.30 Arnold Clark retuning all my money plus expenses

There's an entire subtopic dedicated to them mate!: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/forum/172-skoda-roomster/

(please don't kill me that was a joke)

Glad you managed to get the result you wanted.  Just make sure you keep on top of the dealer and that you actually do get all of your money and out of pocket expenses back.  Promising something is one thing.  Actually doing it is another, unfortunately.

Good result buddy.

You were unfortunate and were sold a crash damaged car, don't be but off the Octy, they are very decent motors.

I live pretty close to them, no personal dealings but not heard any bad reports either.

Perhaps the sales manager should use it as a personal company car for driving his family around, maybe his attitude may change......
