Just checked the oil level after topping up the other day and a quick detail. Such a shame they save a few pence by not fitting a cover on the top of the battery.

Weird. Mine came with the fabric cover.

Yeah had the fabric cover on my 2017 Vrs245 yet some 2018 owners didn't have it. Seems like however's job on the production line couldn't be bothered on some vehicles.

Think Colin D owes me a pint. Two weeks, 20 commutes and more than 13 hours since it saw a fuel station, hoping for 500 miles from a tank so got to be happy so far.

Finally filled up with Tesco Momentum for the second time in 24 days and Skoda claim the Mk3 Superb has a 66 litre fuel tank. So after 546 miles managed to squeeze in 65.22 litres at a cost of £85.37 and it averaged 38.05mpg beating the first tank average of 37.35mpg (sorry Colin). Overall I have spent £136.19 on fuel(total of 865 miles completed) at an average of 37.79mpg. Couple of 110+ mile drives this Sunday so first chance to see what it can do on something other than short trips and commutes.:)Used Auto Hold today several times (first time since reading elsewhere on here how useful it is) today and must admit it is great to leave the gearlever in Drive and just press one button and then again just before you pull away. I wasn't brave enough to try it before but total convert to this new to me technology.

All very interesting fuel-sipping stuff Shy, but I prefer the ‘how fast it accelerates’ chatter!

Also discussion about comfort, refinement, toys (I note the Auto Hold banter) and how happy you are with it overall etc.....

Or we could start a “Fuelly” 2L diesel or 1.5TSI mpg chat?

😉

No button pressing needed Shy - just leave auto-hold engaged all the time. It will do its thing when required and not bother you the rest of the time 👍.

The thought Police (owners of slower Skoda's) start reporting me if I say it does more than 70mph and I already have 4 points on Brisky so have to be as careful as the Pope when shaking hands with a stranger.:o

Oooft it get's me every time! Lufly looking motor and realistically the only thing that would get the nod over a 280 (well the Civic Type R would but I'm still in the closet about admitting I like them)

If an alien arrives from Space and logs onto page 9 to see what a Superb Sportline Plus looks like they will go away with the idea it resembles a Kia Stinger GT-S.

It depends; if they also look at pages 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 too, you've posted enough pics of yours to perhaps make them think otherwise? 😉

Or, they may return to the mothership thinking that a Skoda Superb 272 is a thing that displays the economy of earth vehicles? Anyway, this is all moot as the aliens will find youtube first and get caught in the black hole that is 'cats doing funny things'.

Aha, I shall retreat and leave the thread to you and your 272 Shy!

You have all forgotten the reality of the 'spaceship'. 🤣🤣🤣

I think you need to seek immediate medical assistance. Neighbour's cat has been trained TO WAIT until I wash my car then jump on the bonnet (does it on wife's Karoq also) with dirty paws and leaves moggy prints everywhere including windscreen and roof. This is why I never polish our cars, a complete waste of time, polish and effort.:hi:

After the 4th Feb my passengers will need a pressurised spacesuit to cope with the g-force under acceleration or wear extra thick pampers.:tongueout:

I was only joking all contributions welcome particularly from fellow enthusiasts. Changing subject nightmare commute tonight with 2 morons on the M1 playing dodgems and turning my normal drive to work from 37 minutes to over 70 minutes. Hope they enjoyed the wait on the hardshoulder for the recovery trucks with the Police BMW X5 who had to drag them there.

Day 26 today and about to reach 1,000 miles covered which brings me to conclude so far this is a very comfortable place to rack up some serious miles. Annoyed on the commute by 2 clowns colliding with each other causing many people such as myself to be delayed on our journey either home or to work or possibly even to a Football match (there were no injuries that I could see). Started from home with 550 miles left in the tank and by the time I got to work 3 minutes late for my shift there was only 500 miles left, however I've covered 76.8 miles since refuelling. This car does everything well and the guy in his BMW 5 Series realised what a sleeper the Superb is on the M1 sliproad as he expected to pull away from me (not get overtaken). Dealing with a traffic jam is just one of its many talents.

I think I must have missed the announcement on Monday about it being National M1 Moron  week because yet again they have smashing into each other between J22 and J21 Southbound. At least it only took me 60 minutes to get to work today unlike the 72 minutes yesterday. Bonus wasn’t late today either.
