VCDS options on Superb III.FL

I don't think so.

AFAIK, the headlight washers only trigger when lower beam are ON and once out of five times you pull the stalk to wash the wind shield.

Knowing this may help you decreasing the frequency of your washer fluid top ups.

  • Why would you want them off? Auto lights are notorious for people driving around in poor visibility and no rear side lights.   Personally I always code them to be on.

Can it be coded to force the headlight washer to occur only with a long pull of the stalk? I'm getting through far too much liquid which would seem to be due to the headlight washer frequency.

It can be changed.

Change SRA Verzoegerungszeit to 500 ms in STG09.

Yes, you have to change two values:

09 – Central Electrics - Adaptions

Search 'scheinwerferreinigung' (headlight cleaning)
Select 'SRA Verzoegerungszeit' and set value to '2000' (don't worry that the range is '0-250' on the input field) - it is the time in ms how long you have to hold down the washer stick to initiate headlight wash request.
Commit the change
Number of activation front wash per SRA activation - Anzahl Betaetigungen Frontwaschanlage pro SRA Aktivierung:
This is by default set to 10 and means if you pull the washer lever 10 times it will activate the lights cleaning. You need to change it to 1 so that every time when you hold washer stick for 2 seconds, it cleans lights. If you leave it to default then headlight wash occurs only after 10 time of holding 2 seconds.

Now when you hold washer stick ~2 seconds, it will spray water on to lights.

Well, after a looong time I managed to find couple hours me, VCDS and the laptop, and the car, to try to code some stuff ... my results.

Starting from the long list posted by Martini, I select a few that are the most of interest to me, and these are the results.

This time I read well that is needed, and for example I noticed previous time I forgot to set the handbrake "on" 🙄

I did not have the time or the opportunity to take the car out for a drive, so some adaptations are still untested.

I also noticed a few were already "set", probably by the previous owner, like:

Retain Seat heating

Overtaking right prevention

Minimize Lane Assist's Ping-Pong Effect

The ones I succeded in coding were:

Tear Drop Wipe For Front Wipers - must be tested

Smoth Dimming / Brightening Internal Light - must be tested, from some reason mine are not coming on when I lock/unlock the car ...
Dim Emergency Flasher Button on Dash - works as tested

Enable Fan Level display on Climatronic Auto - works as tested

add Simple Cruise Control - must be tested

ICE Warning threshold - must be tested. Note: to clear the question from above, this wants BOTH the Access code in order to work, and if you do not put the "0" before the new desired value it gives you a "out of range" error. I tried all options to make sure we know how it must be made ...

Refuel quantity, but I always forget to see it 🤪

No seat belt warning - tested. Note: sometimes I do long low-speed manouvering in private areas and the belt is a hassle. I do actually use it on the road, religiously.

Throttle response - must be tested

The SRA activated on long pull of the washer stalk, as indicated above. Must be tested.

The onces I did not manage to make it work I will list on another post, to make photoscreens of what happened.

I forgot to try the auto lights' threshold and some others ... next time!

The adaptations that failed are these, and I try to explain also what happened ...

Scandinavian Lights: I do not see the options that MartiniB has in his coding, namely there is no "Tagfahrlicht" ... I got some "Daytime running Lights" and "Daytime running Lamps" instead, but I tried them to no avail. Maybe a different module wants different options ....

Disable DSG coasting: my long codes are totally different, and I do not see the option of "predictive sailing".

Efficiency assist: also here, my long code did not indicate anything and I could not see it in the adaptation channels available.

Brakes, set autohold to "early".  Here it was the only hairy moment, first when I try to access and confirm the adaptation I get this warning message, then trying options I get an error, then finally with Access code listed here 11996 I adapted from 'Normal' to 'Early' and in that moment all Hell brooke loose, Christmas tree lighted up and all systems offline errors started to pop up 😬

I managed to re-enter and return the Autohold to 'Normal' and all went away ... cycled ignition on-off and couple times and run an autoscan and no errors. Will see when on the road, but something was not of the liking of the brakes' module...

However, I noticed in the options there is some "Autohold functionality" options. Has anyone ever tried any of those?

Finally, some silly questions

1) when I was searching for the coasting, I've noticed a 'predictive speed limit regulation", anyone knows what this is?

2) in the instruments there is a "no voltage display" set as "not available", I set it to "readout" waiting to see if there was a voltmeter, but I did not see anything ...

3) I forgot to mention in another post for the tires, but a combination of two dimwits - one being me - made me end up with the winter tires without the TPMS sensors installed. As I do not want to take them out again just to refit them, I guess I will survive this winter the old-fashioned way of visual check every forthnight or so. Is there any way I can disable it to prevent the lamp to light up?

20241130_190146.jpg

My car came with them installed ... they were on the summer wheels/tires, I told my tire guy to source sensors for the winter ones he said "no problem"and the the usual chain of events: he did not order / I forgot to remind / then, all in a rush: I left him wheels / I forgot to remind him / he forgot to order them / I forgot to ask / he did not remember to mention / I put them on like two weeks later because I was busy, and the day before travel .... and here we are 😜

I have been looking at your setup, but I wonder if compatible with the OE system ...

"predictive speed limit regulation"

Sounds like what Travel Assist can do - it can adjust to speed limits and it does it predictively - meaning taking speed limit data from navigation and slowing down to a speed limit before you reach it.

Edited by komoornik

Sounds like pACC, which can brake independently if the camera recognizes signs or the navigation system recognizes curves or roundabouts from the route data.

Noted.

There is a newish section of the ring road opened recently close to my place, there will test this, which, if is what you guys mention, is really bothering ...

  • 4 weeks later...

As the two fellas mentioned above, my changed setting has removed the "auto speed" when PCC is on.

On a longer trip, the results are:

Tear Drop Wipe For Front Wipers - not observed ... maybe it did not work

Smoth Dimming / Brightening Internal Light - I forgot to check 🤪
add Simple Cruise Control -  I forgot to check 🤪

ICE Warning threshold - works perfectly

Throttle response - works, much better responde, now that I took out the pedal box, will say why elsewhere.

The SRA activated on long pull of the washer stalk, as indicated above - works perfectly.

Hello

Is possible to coding superb 2021 fl

That on rain automatic close sunroof and windows?

With obd eleven.

No, it doesn't work anymore because the sensor no longer supports it

It would be interesting to see if we retrofit a sensor if it works. I think we must look for a very early model?

i got another one: I drove recently a GL, and the parking areaview cameras when, manouvering, in reverse it shows the rear camera in the display, when you go forward it switches automatically to the front camera: how cool is that!? I have to do that manually .... also the front view is "straight", while in the Superb is a .... complex affair, seems you are looking through the eyes of an insect 🙄

Any chance this automatic switch could be coded? Apertureeeeeeee 😁

Then, any chance the extremely annoying BONG at every message - say for example low outside temp - could be reduced drastically in volume?

I have often very nosy passengers and this only stresses them, which in turn, they stress me ... 😄

Hello,

can anybody post working and actual guide how to code new battery? Had 68Ah, yesterday I bought 72Ah (other manufacturer). Both AGM.

Thank you.

From memory you put the Ah in and just add +1 to the battery code from the old one.

This may help: 😉

Is possible to set ch and Lh home only with fog lights?

Now it works with led headlights.

In obdeleven is possible tu turn to fog lights but headlights are on also.

Thank you

Hi,

Yes you can.

How? With obdeleven?

Is this coding work or not? Does disable headlights?

23.03.20          ok, Fogs added, headlights didn't gone

*** Set Fogs Lights as Coming/Leaving Home Lights

09 Central Electrics

            Access Code 31347

            Adaptation

            -> Aussenlicht_uebergreifend

            ---> Coming home Leuchten:

                        Low beam       ->         Fog light

            ---> Coming-home Einschaltereignis:

                        driver door      ->         ignition

23.03.20          OK

Is possible to turn off start stop?

tnx

This is one way of changing CH / LH. You can choose different light combinations.

Start / Stop can be turned off on very old models but not on the newer ones.

Thank you!

Is there another way to turn off start stop?

Now i tested coding for fog lights.

It does not work. Just activated fog lights. Low beams staw ON.
