  2. Everything other than the village names works OK. Using the same map data on the same Skoda SD card shows the villages on a similar unit in a friends Golf but not in my Octavia. On that basis there must be a difference between the two Amundsen units, and the firmware might be the difference? I don't think the firmware on my unit has ever been updated, so I think it is worth trying an update from version P0241T to P0253T. Can anyone help me in obtaining the files for the update?

  4. Hi! As the warning lights on your 2019 Škoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI come on as soon as you start the engine, before the car moves, I would consider a wheel-speed sensor failure to be less likely. I would start by checking the battery, as a weak 12 V battery or a voltage drop when starting could generate similar errors. Could you check the battery voltage? It should be at least 12 V; when the engine is running, it should reach up to 14.5 V depending on the state of the battery and the smart charging system. WBR Primoz
  5. If you don't have this kind of tool. You can proceed this way: 1. Set ignition ON (without starting the engine) for 10s. 2. Set ignition Off for 15s 3. Repeat 1 & 2 4 or 5 times 4. Start the engine (if it stalls, start again from the beginning) 5. Rev the engine around 1500 rpm for 30s to get rid of potential air bubbles in the fuel system I've done this about 10 times on several TDI engines over last 20 years. Never had any problem.
  6. Thanks, but in not after a leggy car, looking at les than 40k miles 😀 Insurers rarely use second hand spares, must quote on new parts.
  7. Thank you, I've done it for a few years now. I don't get the actual money back (~£1500) but it changes my tax code upwards. Not as good as getting 55p/ mile expenses......
  8. Hi @zer081, We're not talking about the same SW version. See the explanations above to check the infotainment SW version. ;)

  10. There’s a few iV L&k on Autotrader currently for less than your payout. E.g https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202610207160878?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios-app
  11. If your company pays you less than the maximum permissible HMRC figure, you can claim for tax relief on the rest. Just need logs and can claim up to 4 years in the past. https://www.gov.uk/tax-relief-for-employees/vehicles-you-use-for-work
  12. sorry forgot to update, i managed to get a set of 4x genuine vag ones at a good price, and thankfully the mechanic at the garage i use got all 4x glow plugs out and replaced them with no problems. thanks kev!
  13. Bumper, wing, headlight, wheel, bonnet. I reckon £2k max in second hand spares?
Dankeschön und liebe Grüße Hello, I am looking for a specialist to help with an unresolved electronic fault in my Škoda Kodiaq 2.0 TDI (150 hp, DSG, 4x4, 2019 model, 210,000 km). Immediately after starting the engine, five warning messages appear and remain on: ESC, Hill Start Assist, Front Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, and the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Another workshop has already scanned all the control units but was unable to identify the cause. Can anyone help? Thank you, and best regards. Auf English bitte @Kiawisnseppl The default language on Briskoda is English. Thank you.

  17. hi, can anyone point me in the right direction just recently the fuel filer panel has got a bit temperamental when you give it the little push to click it open it isn't opening, so i thought i had better look into it before it stops altogether and i cant get any fuel in. 1st question is there a way of opening the flap manually ? 2nd any advice on what the problem could be? 3rd is there some kind of tutorial on how to take it apart without braking it? many thanks kev!
  18. Hi guys! So i had to replace my 2020's matrix headlights because of an incident. The newer ones are made in 2023 with a new oem number. After the replacement i noticed that my right one is not doing the calibration when i start the engine. ( I mean there it goes a bit down than goes back in that place when i started the engine.) After this, i changed the control modules of the headlights back to the previous one but symptom is the same. There is not a single error message, in vcds too.. Can someone help me with it? Thank you!

  20. My late-2023-built Fabia M4 SE L model has LED headlights and the rear foglight, reversing-light and number-plate lights are also LED units. My car's only exterior lights that have 'traditional' halogen bulbs are the rear brake, position and indicator lights (and I carry spare bulbs for those) and, when the Mk4's specification was revised (in 2025?), I believe those lights also became LEDs as standard. Realistically, if any of a Fabia Mk4's LED lights stops working, unless the cause is something simple (eg. a blown fuse) and not the light-unit itself, there's nothing that the driver will be able to do to 'cure' the problem - and that's also likely to be true if a member of the AA, RAC etc. is called out. And, even if an obsessively pessimistic owner carried a full set of spare LED light-units, fitting replacements at the roadside probably would not be practicable.
  21. Can't believe they've written it off for that level of damage - but then again I probably can as the admin and inflated repair costs charged to insurance companies by body shops will outweigh what they'll pay you less what they'll get back selling it on as damaged repairable. Having said that a local bodyshop would likely fix that fairly easily...
  22. You may have posted into the wrong channel as there was no MK4 in 2020.
  23. If you have led lights fitted to your, for instance, Fabia 4 and the lights go out, what do you do? what spares can you carry and fit? or is it a call the motoring organisations for help? I suddenly thought of this and realised I had not got a clue!!
  24. The wife's Rover 25 turned 36000 yesterday. Unfortunately, she missed it. She was a mile from home.
  25. I have had the pcv replaced by a garage when the original broke around 6 years ago. The current valve appears to be in one piece but replacing it, I thought would be a good idea to prevent future problems. As the stem is barbed will it break if I pulled to remove it or will it slide out of rocker cover?
  26. Thanks - I do 15k miles per year, and my company give me the bare minimum expenses wise (13p/mile for my 1.5 hybrid), so a 2 litre tsi isn't suitable. Wish it was, but......
  27. May be work looking at Second Gears - www.secondgears.co.uk
  28. If village data is missing from the map then no firmware update will help.
  29. I have a 2025 kodiak it went in for a repair as water was leaking in through the light bar. its leaking again and booked in . Anyone else have any problems with water ingressing through the tail gate ( no pun intended)
