the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol Have a look at the story of Kevin Mackie & Mackie Motors Brechin. I was friends with his dad before he took over the business. He was forced to sell it because of the actions of Renault. It is now a Parks Dealership. Good that he is getting his day in court.

Seats in the Peaq
Good advice from Evolution13. I found the seat in my Roomster Scout comfortable, but I wished I had tried the seat in my Roomster SE before I bought it as it near crippled me. Similar story when I bought a Yeti. The demonstrator was a Monte Carlo in which I found the seat comfortable. But I find the seat in my Yeti SE far less comfortable. Lesson learnt, I will never buy another car without at least sitting in the exact model that I intend to purchase.

I bought that one because Bink said it worked and cheap, been faultless

the truth about electric cars
What I meant was that the car has to be there at the time, or else no cheap electricity, not like a loyalty card from an oil company where when you have amassed so many points, you can redeem those points at the filling station of the same brand at any time of your choosing.

Can high beam assist be retro fitted to my 2021 Octavia SEL with front camera?

the truth about electric cars
I don't do less than today trucks and if want or need to go slower then just get off the motorway. Scenic does have a Misubishi cousin i gather now and the Nissan Ariya is also with the same under pinnings mainly though they have 4 wheel drive Nismo version with over 400 hp as one of the variants.

the truth about electric cars
Just come back.up the M1 and passed a Scen EV doing about 55 mph causing a right tailback as the wagons were having to pass it at 56 mph or there abouts. Obviously on cruise but oblivious to the rest of the world. Other than that I notice that on the continent the Scenic seems to be sold as a Mitsubishi Grandis.

Kodiaq memory seat coding?
I would guess you need someone with odis to ensure it’s got the right dataset. For control modules I’ve found trying to buy second hand one from as near identical vehicle as possible spec/ model wise is most likely to succeed.

Can high beam assist be retro fitted to my 2021 Octavia SEL with front camera?
It's a licensed feature. If it's not in the Skoda Store, it's not currently possible. Your hardware is fine

What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
MOT today. 5 years old and 48,000 miles. No issues at all.

Fabia mk2 Repair Manual to inside Boot panel to access Fuel Filler Flap Locking
Appreciate All @Evolution13 @Lee01 @Breezy_Pete for their time and trying to help me , Yeah Fabia Mk1 have cable and Mk2 have just lid lock no motor controlled flap through central locking system. Thank you so much for clearing my confusion happy that this is not issue. Flap has not been opened for months and so it was jammed was scared to force it but slight wiggle had opened it and at least I can see understand the mechanism . Once again thank you so much for your support. Kind Regards

SD cards and the Amundsen infotainment system.
Thanks for that. The SKODA card I have reports at 16Gb. I tried the UK and western Europe map, (ECE 1) downloaded it, formatted the card FAT32, then unzipped the map onto the card with 'Unarchiver' which seems to have a decent reputation with Mac OS. The zipped file is 8Gb and the site says a 16Gb minimum is needed. Should be fine. The result of that effort is what appears in photo 4. A fail. Simply selecting NAV, then following the prompt to insert the card tells me it's accepted the card OK as a source of Nav data - but then it says it can't use it or words to that effect. Doesn't seem to make sense. I'm just wondering if the Mac OS is putting something else on there that I can't see when the file is being unzipped which then screws up the card.

2025 Skoda Superb Navigation Update
I assume that You have navigation package. Maps updates are automatic OTA. You do not need to do anything. I believe that the page where one can check map updates for a specific VIN number is meant for older cars.

Constant app updates
I've been getting this too, from posts elsewhere it would appear that a download is being rolled out in batches of VINs. Today I got the message and was driving the car long enough to actually get the download downloaded and then theres a message to install it which takes 20 mins,, after that theres a further message to install the Apps which can be done in the background.

Fuel Filler Flap Struck locked
Dear Experts, Thought to update, Luckily I was able to open the fuel flap with just light wiggling and close and reopen all worked fine. Also I don't see any motor lock pin system ( no perturbed pins found when central lock /unlock key fob is pressed ) , but I can see that fuel cap have LOCK which works fine with car door mechanical key . Does this mean this is correct functionality please any thoughts .. I looked PR code for my car which have number "4K3" and it states that "Door and tailgate/trunk lid locking 4K3 mechanism"- "Central locking w/ radio remote control, interior controls and SAFELOCK" and it does not mention about Filler Flap so I understand that this particular model MAY NOT not have motor/actuator fitted for fuel filter cap and which works with central locking system. Any thought please would be highly appreciated. Thanks Kind Regrds

SD cards and the Amundsen infotainment system.
If you just want maps the Official Skoda website has them available for download , as long as your Official Skoda SD card has enough space for the new maps you will be fine, some older official Cards are to small for the new maps to fit on, hence why people suggest a new larger "Official" card (the standard MIB2 Units are locked down to only use official SD cards). The mib-helper website is a good place to start for information about updating or patching you system, or there are some very good YouTube Videos on the subject too.

the truth about electric cars
New Dacia Spring, big revision as the Dacia Spring, 45, 65 were pretty awful and the Spring 100, whilst big improvement, was still fairly naff. It shares much with the new Twingo I gather.... (Chukier, Heavier and Roomier ((but actually less power but torque not too bad for a 1.2 T car and makes it at low revs)).

Get it Ready For Winter
I use all sorts. Clean glass with white vinegar or meths if I don't drink it and rub with old newspaper then Rain X, fog X clear glass or whatever. Buff with old y fronts or a soft cloth. Treat window rubbers. Or not bother sometimes. Today I did most of that 3 times. Brae nicht the nicht, fair drawing in.
