  1. Here are photos of my vRS in Mamba Green
  2. 1 down 3 to go rain stopped play.
  3. Sorry, missed this! The modified cable arrived and fitted to the sub without any problems I'm sorry to shoot down the hardened pro know-it-alls and sound engineers on here but this simple modification has made an unbelieveable difference to the Canton system. I was speculative but happy to try - I've had the car from new since 2020 and my greatest disapointment with the whole car was the lack of bass from a factory fitted sub and premium system (knowing what my Dynaudio system was like in my VW Gold estate). The crossover is perfect and the low volume frequency is now warm and fills the car where before there was nothing. Louder LOUDER LOUDEST volumes are exceptional and well balanced and distortion free. It's not about being loud and blasting, just refined and as it should be. Sorry to say to the doubters but I am delighted with my modification and I can highly recommend and thank @spacelordfor their findings witjh this Worth a punt if you've got this model and system and you enjoy good audio and certainly only worth shouting about if you can hear it first hand! Case closed, very happy Canton modifcication - thanks @spacelord

It's always a good idea to take a photo yourself before you start taking something apart, especially if you don't have any actual documentation as to how the thing is supposed to go back together!

Hi guys, maybe for inspiration how the color really looks like. Here are some pics of mine beauty.
  7. As you'd imagine , like ****s. German for fox. Damned swear filter 🙄
  8. Might get a smack across the back of the head for that one from my Mum, Pete. If so, I'm blaming you.
  9. 😁 Foooks This ebay listing says what Gaz was saying, though not exactly the same oil as opie's? FUCHS (QUANTUM PLATINUM) 5W-40 *FULLY SYNTHETIC**5L CUBE**OEM MANUFACTURER*(B-10 | eBay
  10. Am I imagining it, or do I remember that Fuchs Titan is the exact same oil in a different frock?: https://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-984-fuchs-titan-supersyn-5w-40-high-performance-fully-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx Gaz
  11. Odd time of year for this fault, but I reckon JR is probably right. I can't explain the one incident of the 3/4 scale, but I'll bet the master technician at your nearest Main Stealer can't either. What I can do is echo the advice you've already been given to clean the sensor prongs in the expansion bottle if they're accessible, and replace it if they're not.
  12. ASDA / Tesco or other places will sell 5w 40 to VW 502 00/ 505 00/ 505 01 at cheap enough prices. (often on clearance as used to beat other supermarkets price promise.) Proper oil produced by oil producers for Multi National Retailers just like any named brands.
  13. Problem is solved! The issue is the whole center console itself. It has module inside , and doubles as a A/C Controller. Once replaced, lights and A/C work properly. As far as i found out 1.9tdi 1.2htp and 1.4mpi, are all the same , with the small difference that the knob for the airflow is 180C upside down. Maybe the cable can be rotated , but it was a pain to put it , and i don't want a live this again. Part number for mine is 6Y0 820 045 A , and i replaced it with 6Y0 820 045 B. So this may be reason also.
  14. From what you've said springs and shocks are going to be the better option for you over coilovers. Drop us a PM if we can be any help and we can get some prices and info on kits together for you. Damian @ DPM Performance
  15. It took a while, but yes! The culprit was the soldering of the little circuit board that controls the wiper motor. The solder had cracked, causing a poor connection. Makes sense that temperature changes would affect it. Take a look at the attached photos, specifically the soldered tabs on the bottom right of the circuit board. Those two connect directly to the motor. See how different they look to the tabs at the top of the board? Took a quick bit of heat with a soldering iron and a little extra solder, and problem solved. It's a quick job as long as you have one of those generic trim removal kits. Just remove the trim from the inside of the boot lid, then the plastic cover from the wiper motor assembly (2 torx screws and 2 metal clips hold it on), and then the little cover over the circuit board comes off easily. Hope that works for your Fabia.

MR2023 is model year i will also celebrate maybe two years because my car still don't have any production or any date. up to today so yeah awesome hehe. So then V3 is Sportline?
  17. I will have a look to see what's happening today on it. As I said TMC took a break a few weeks back for a day or so then reappeared again. Was reported on a Seat board. Have access to the standard mib2 unit and mib2 high, was off both which concurred with the Seat poster. So nothing to do with the standard map update, just coincidence. Decides it was a technical network glitch. TMC is broadcast via Classic FM but receivers can get mixed up in some parts of the country between the free service and the paid service. The free service is paid by the manufacturers e.g.. VAG in this case pay for the free service for the customer. Traffic Master is the paid service. Weird and wonderful world of TMC https://tisa.org/technologies/coverage/ Have a wiki https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traffic_message_channel See under UK. Think their servers have a wobbly at times... not good if there is traffic. 😨 Probably held together by sticky plaster that falls off at times.
  18. I am proud to say I now own this car as of today!
  19. I use one of these. It has a gentle 3.5A charge rate. Bosch C1 (41.42 euros including shipping to the UK is about £35.18) https://www.amazon.de/-/en/189-999-01M-battery-charger/dp/B00RP3DEW6/ref=sr_1_1?crid=K7TUHC9MUADA&keywords=bosch+c1&qid=1653337415&sprefix=bosch+c1%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-1 You can see Yuasa recommended charge rates for their AGM batteries by clicking on more info for each battery on their website. But to save you looking, the recommended charge rate is 3A, 4A, 4A, 5A, 5A, 6A for their size 1 to size 6 AGM batteries. Size 1 to size 6 AGM Yuasa batteries have a capacity of 50A, 60A, 70A, 80A, 95A, 105A respectively. I suspect these recommended charge rates would also be suitable for other top brands such as Varta. Comision number and VIN number, can your dealer tells you. So is your car already produced or you have "estimated production" date or confirmed production date? If you had confirmed production date then wait till this date and hope for no delays and then you will see if your car will be produced and delivered. Or you can write to Škoda and ask but first contact your car dealer if he has some informations. @AudreySI you can try but my experience was, that I wrote email last year in December 2022, but they answer to me about semiconductors problems and bla bla and apologizing and told that I must stay in contact with my car dealer 🤦‍♂️ I hope that you get some good true inforations, if you write to Škoda 👍

i wrote this morning i hope to get any mail back i ask general question what is happening and that i am waiting on car from july last year
  24. Yes Pin 2 👍 a quick fix to pass the ETC just tee into the White wire on pin2 and put a blue light/bulb between the speedo unit and the dash surround ??
  25. When I want to find the real water temperature I use OBD11 not the dash gauge. Pump not working / pipes blocked / thermostat not working? Thanks, AG Falco
  26. Welcome to the forums 1. if youre needing to use pliers, its too much force, either the barrel has seized up or the keys are wrong, chances of 3 wrong keys would be very odd though. Coding the keys back to the car may be a bit more involved and require diagnostic software but i cant be 100% on that. 2. There are 2 different kinds of updates, one for the unit and one for the maps. The maps i understand wanting to update but why the urgency to update the infotainment unit, are you having problems? Your unit will be a MIB2 unit and will have an internal hard drive, only needs a SD card for updates. 3. Definitely no OTA updates for this year of car, that will only be on the 2020 onwards MIB3 units.

  28. Are you getting any other fault codes flagged up ? as looking further at the wiring diagrams that fuse #29 also supplies the turbo control valve & the EGR valve so if that fuse has blown I would expect more fault codes to be shown ?
  29. There are a couple of things that have been done that I would not have done. 1. Lowered too much. I will fix this. 2. Obnoxious cat-back exhaust. Too noisy. I'm 50 years old, not 20. Has to go. The good news is, I will rectify these poor "upgrade" choices and sort the motor. I really enjoy this vRS and am happy to spend a few quid to make it right for me. Probably won't get it back if and when I sell it. But who cares. I'm going to make this a great car.
  30. You splash the cash and buy the good parts. So once you can say or show what the springs and dampers are you know what you are looking at getting. Maybe what is on is just a poor choice of parts, maybe not even new when fitted.

Atm it sounds like only RS are problematic, but they all still are 🤷‍♀️
  32. From the workshop manuals in the Kodiaq Guides section below this one.

  36. That's what I'll do, I think. My local garage is only a few hundred yards away and they'll sort it.
  37. Ask someone to put it on a ramp so you can get pictures then. Maybe where you had the tyres fitted.
  38. I presume that you need a specific answer, not generic videos from the Internet. My answer for you is this: 1) If it is not broken, don't fix it. Relax. Fan motors don't need maintenance other than changing brushes (if you are lucky to find suitable ones) 2) You may open it, but I advise you not. The small metal catches have a high chance to break. 3) When the fan motor will break, buy another available replacement motor. Meanwhile, check the market using the part number. Use the pinned topic about online catalogs for Felicia.
  39. sounds a nightmare. Return it for a higher spec'd car
  40. Yeah, that's mine. Purchased it a few weeks ago.
  41. A couple of shots from yesterday with two mates racing in the minirods at Lydden Hill.

Whilst you are at it, have a very good look around the turbo pipes. Bottom pipe off the turbo can split. All the others tend to develop "dodgy" connections and can pop off under boost. None of which is good for the turbo. Inspect everything before assembly. There shouldn't be swarf or anything metallic swanning around in the head casting but at least shine a bright lamp around to check the airways and water oil/waterways you can see are clear.
  44. Did you clean the throttle body (MAF?), changed air filter? Did you only service the engine? Have you checked the battery is in a good state of charge and health and all battery (and earths) connections are clean and secure? Could be more than one issue with 180k km, how does your clutch and gear changing feel when driving? Have you got any sort of scan tool?

Maybe in the past, when people wanted boring, but since the lockdowns people seem to want colour in their life. My friend was considering changing his Audi, dealer said all the unsold stock is white (presumably no one wanted them), and all the interesting colours are virtually impossible to get as sold out. Looking at what is used and lined up at front of my local car dealers (various brands) Seems all the unusual colours (even blue and red) not there because they are flying out the door, and the boring colours like white/grey/black are the ones they haven’t yet managed to sell yet, so not sure why you assume resale value will be lower for colour.

I’ve ordered in mamba green, very much doubt there are actually any in the UK yet. The picture above doesn’t do it justice, they have one on display in Prague airport looks far nicer in the flesh.
  47. I'd imagine they're all the same as I think it was just exterior updated on the facelift
  48. So a little update. Had the windows tinted all round with a ceramic nano film by Langeveld Automotive in Nijmegen. Absolutely fantastic job and well worth the cash. Also got a Racingline stage 1 map and DSG map done by Coordsport. Really transforms the car. Next up is a bit of sound deadening in the boot, lowering and new wheels.
