  3. Fixed the problem. After removing the trim panel near the footrest, the plugs looked like this. After cleaning them with contact spray all came back to normal, car's systems are alive again. Next thing is to take care of the clogged panorama drains. Thank you everyone for ideas. So if someone has this problem and has panorama roof, then it shows where to look for the solution.
  4. Update, finally with the slightly warmer weather I have put in the new starter motor I bought a while back. Noise now gone, thank goodness. Thanks all. G
  5. A little update on this.... So I did everything in the previous post and even changed out the ad blue pump with a replacement from ebay with no change. So I lay under the car stumped and notice the sheeth around the cable isn't normal and also notice strange washers holding the ad blue tank on and the plug for the ad blue pump was broken. Further inspection leads me to believe the car has had a rear end and someone has just put a sheeth over the cables but haven't clipped them on to anything and I have a couple of broken wires. Didn't have time to go any further but will have an answer tomorrow hopefully
  6. I'm always sympathetic with anyone experiencing worsening fuel consumption but I do wish more information was presented for those assisting. 'Almost overnight' but how long ago and for how many refills has the increased consumption been noted? Was it coincident with any event; servicing, new tyres, drop in temperature etc? How many km has the car done? What is the driving profile like? How many km each week? Typical journey length? Does the car get a reasonably frequent long journey for a diesel particulate filter to regenerate? Have you noted any indication that an attempted dpf regen has failed to complete? High revs/fan running/burning smell? What does 70km less distance covered represent in percentage terms. Do you note the 'since refuel' consumption when you refuel and is the worse consumption similar in percentage terms to the reduced distance covered? There will be other questions but these will provide some background.

Yes andy, 1 mechanic told me it was my diff , went to another for second opinion and was told bearing , all sorted and quiet as a mouse now Sorry it was the bearing
  8. The only thing that I've got to add to my original post, is that when it was asking for the wife's login details, I simply used my own account details, as the Primary User. Despite me creating her own Skoda Connect account. I just made sure my main account was "activated" in the app. Since then, we've have had no further issues. The seat are now moving to the correct position, along with the settings for both of us. So long as you lock the car with the correct key fob. Hope this helps.

I'd be seeking new insurance quotes come renewal time
  10. Have you not noticed how ignorant the dealers are about what they are selling? My experience here in the UK is that they know practically nothing other than the published specification of the car. After-sales help is zero. They plug it in to diagnostics and then bow down before the all-mighty computer and OBEY!
  11. Thanks for reporting back. Blimey bit of a water running in there then, you certainly want to sort out the drains ASAP, check how many drain points there are and their locations, sorry I don't know. After cleaning to help keep water and moisture out you could use something like Contralube 770 to protect the connectors internally, a sachet lasts a long time and a tube much longer. - PDS-Contralube_770.pdf ETA: Use as required but no point putting in too much to connectors so that too much squeezes out when you put the connectors together.
  12. Booked in next week ! Fingers crossed
  13. I dont understand why people searching for help here first.... you have new car, have lots of year warranty. Go ahead on dealer and pushing them to fix all
  14. Welcome to the forums… Sounds like you need to get the dealer to apply all the updates to your car. CarPlay and ACC have been fixed for many on this forum. I’ve not come across the SatNav issue mentioned, but guess updates will help. I don’t have a hybrid so can’t help on that one. You're right about the economy though, I’m very impressed with my 1.5tsi.

My first post here. I have to say that the 21 pages of knowledge and wisdom accumulated here is astounding. I did a few mods that some may find a little extreme. ST XA coilovers (I had a good deal for new ones), 245/40 R19 Conti Sport Contact 7 tyres and Racechip GTS to name a few. All these led to levels of NVH that are honestly quite bad, esp on rough roads. Now that I have expended all my budget on the above mods, I went on to DIY sound deaden/proof my FL 2020 Superb. Following the advice here, I have done: 1) Bonnet (2 layers) 2) Boot (2 layers) 3) B Pillar 4) Outside Wheel Arches/Fenders (2 layers) 5) Front Floor (partial 2 layers. i didn't want to take out the console or front seats) 6) Driver's Door (2 Layers) About to do the other doors, wheel arch inside, roof lining and probably seat bench. I can say (according to my butt dyno) that the car has about the similar comfort levels as my old(er) 2013 Audi A4, plus higher performance and a whole lot more boot space. Yes, even with coilovers, it's amazingly comfortable at factory settings. I'm stunned! I had never imagined that the sound deadening would actually settle the vibrations and road feel. Can't wait to do the rest!

    Try this…
  17. Not required, you can remove and refit or replace the steering knuckle, strut, spring etc 1000 times and the tracking will never change one iota.
  18. Can't help you here, mate. For the second user (not primary user) it never asked me to verify with the QR code. It was only necessary for the primary user.
  19. Yes the original diff was riveted to the crown wheel and the new diff is bolted with ARP bolts I believe
  20. Superskoda, why wait till renewal time, I'm on the case allready 😆
  21. You have a PM, and it's bug fixes... and VAG do not provide a changelog of those either.
  22. There are four drains, two front and two rear and VW have a special pokey stick to clean then for about £200!😬
  23. Well done. You may have had some moisture in the connector. Keep an eye on all the power cables, particularly for corrosion on the power wires where they go into the crimp connector. Check also at the earth wire on the alternator where it goes to the engine/body as this comes up quite often.
  24. Given that the tyre pressures for 205/55x16 are printed on the car (inside fuel flap), it would be particularly hard for an insurance company to claim that they are not a standard fitment; they might be optional, but they are still standard. Personally I have never bothered informing my insurer when I fit this size; for the winter. My personal experience (recent claim) is that the loss assessor never batted an eyelid at them, even though he had acknowledged their presence on the car.
  25. @Scaleo You have PM for 0480 version, you will have to try and see if it works for you.
  26. September til March and Angus Council manage to have installed a couple of hooks for the charger cables to go on to reduce the trip hazard to those on foot. Temp barriers still in place at this new charger in Forfar, so much for the accessible charger next to a dropped kerb. So much for the use of the pavement behind the charger.
  27. Coolant has been topped up by my local garage, and heater works, as does the AC.
  28. Oops, I should've gone to Specsavers 🤦‍♂️
  29. I had 034 street density mounts on my car for a while. They do amplify the suspension noise. It developed some minor knocking noise at low speed.
  30. Mine is also from 2020 (one of the first ordered in SLO) and it's still 'coasting' in Normal mode (which I really don't like) and I want it gone... 😀
  31. It's about 2 years old.
  32. Went to the dealer here in Australia. Their maintenance schedule details a fuel filter change at 60k and 120k. I then went to the parts interpreter - there is no fuel filter in this car. The Skoda maintenance schedule is a fiction in regard to the fuel filter. They also told me that the Skoda maintenance program shows no timing belt on this car - I removed the timing belt cover and showed the belt on CJZC/D engine. Looks like Skoda doesn’t know it’s own cars! The parts diagram shows no fuel filter in the tank and no fuel filter between the in tank pump LP and the HP pump. The parts diagram shows no replaceable fuel filter inside the fuel pump. It appears there may be an integrated fuel filter inside the fuel pump assembly - like most LP pump assemblies that I have had experience changing. Maybe it can be pulled, inspected and cleaned? This is a bad design for countries where fuel contamination is common place.. Last year there were 10 diesel Ford Rangers in at the local dealer having fuel system water damage repair - close to $10000 in repairs on a common rail diesel. Have a look my diesel fuel pump from last year(different vehicle). The in-line filter positioned just after this pump was also in bad shape - imagine getting petrol with those sorts of contaminants in a Fabia. The middle image is the dirt that came out of the swirl pot in which the pump (first image) was located. The third image is the interior of the swirl pot after removing the pump. The fuel came from an independent and generic fuel station - same brand is all over Australia advertising cheaper fuel. Additionally in the Fabia, there is no sensor in the LP side to monitor pressure output from the LP pump - another omission by the engineers in my opinion. However maybe the fuel pump current is monitored and reported by OBD PID.
  33. I did it! The car is working better than ever before! All fault codes are gone! ...or at least almost, just the heater element for the auxiliary heating that is defective now! I did as you said pkipilot and unplugged the battery and checked the connection for the ECM module. Nothing was wrong, just plugged it back in and it worked... Thank you guys for all the amazing help and have a good day! :D

Welcome, hope we can assist you if you have any questions.
  35. I took toots advice last year with the whole "clean the area" bit of pollen filter change (while changing the filter). Was surprised at the grot. Next time I'll consider an airbomb too if I can find one for a sensible price.

Yep, although I didn't do it, I bought one of these, there's a few colours left....http://www.kopacek.com/Skoda/SUPERB-II/Superb-II-front-upper-grille-lid-painted-in-original-Skoda-colour-ROSSO-BRUNELLO-F3X-Monte-Carlo
  39. Yes, as you suggest. There are four small screws once the glass is out to release the lower part of the cover. The indicator is an LED so it may not be the cause of not working. You should be able pull the glass out by moving it to point inwards and then pulling the glass out by putting your fingers behind and pulling. That's the theory but mine was so tight I was in danger of breaking the mirror. In the end I gave a new puddle light bulb to the Skoda Garage and asked them to do it as the car was with them for other work.
  40. The creaking suspension is due to the top mounts. Replacing them with ones from the 8V TTRS seems to solve this. It's common issue across MQB platform
  41. If it’s not too far out your way I’m in north London.

  47. I understand J.R., a great many people all over have had to make changes for reason/s or other. No matter how hard for you, the fact you were able to start making changes, against the tide maybe, says a lot for your character and strength. I on the otherhand, crashed out, I was like--well-- mentally swimming through jelly, a lot of heartache and greif, things had to give and I did. As someone said to me recently, holes like that don't go away, you just, given time, learn to stear around them. It's a crooked straight line path but everyday is going forward---most days that is.
  48. Obviously not Nigel but I think you worry to much about it. I'm getting to know you, so long as readers are aware what your posting may not be relavant to their particular issue, you keep posting, it's all interesting stuff and I've learnt a lot. Going off topic can be frustrating but that's forum life for you.
  49. Thank you for photos etc. I am sure it will prove useful. Here is a link to the same issue on the H09 version in case future searchers need it:-
