  1. I opted for the £44 touch - Infotainment only. Why would I want to remotely flash the headlights and sound the horn? I may be a tad over 70 but I can still find the car in a supermarket car park!
  2. No update, filled with E5 last week as suggested from empty but done about 200 miles since and still happening when town driving in lower gears. Going to be a call to Skoda I think.
  3. Lithium battery tech rather than lithium iron phosphate so is charging to 100%, rather than 90 or even 80% either the right advice ? Zoe is lithium rather than LFP and full regen does not happen between 90-100 % so car is not so efficient anyways in this SOC. Bjorn Nyland once calculated the Zoe Ze50 useable battery at 45 kWh whereas Renault call it a ZE50, say it is nominal 52 kWh and actual 55 kWh, 4 different values. Depends where we measure the Watts going in or already in the battery and can be translated to traction power. 10% loss in and out, lost mainly as heat of course.
  4. Sounds like you need to go to a different dealer.
  5. @Ellevee The recommended schedule for the spark plugs replacing is at 64,000 km / 40,000 miles. Were they replaced then or since?
  6. As a new owner still in the honey moon period with the car, yet author of this thread I thought I had better chime in. I like so much about it thats new to me from the Skoda brand so deeper thought takes me to this........ The size! It's not small inside and it's not like I feel I'm dragging something unnecessary about. I've had bigger SUV's (X3 & Evoque) I've had estate cars and currently (as I keep managing to throw into posts 😞) I have a VW California to feel high and mighty in. Also have regular use of a Fiesta and the car this Kamiq replaced was a Kia Cee'd, so finding it nicely spacious on the inside and still pretty small outside.
  7. Likely not the issue if it is a MCU / DSG issue as there are a growing number of, but, when were the spark plugs replaced, or have the techs had them out and checked if not replaced?
  8. The final result Excellent result. There is an application where via Bluetooth you can change the color and intensity of the lighting. I love it. It has 2 zones, one for the dashboard and the second for the footwell lights (if you want to fit them)

I doubt you'll find any such thing, unfortunately. The ABS sensor 'looks' at magnetic patches on the inner face of the wheel bearing, not at anything on the driveshaft.

Had this once before and it turned out to be a bit of rust/dirt stuck in the drive shaft ABS cut outs a quick clean with small soft brush and some WD40 solved the issue for me hope this helps
  11. Difficult to help from a distance. Have you driven the car “briskly”, or attempted to, in manual mode to see if the engine will Rev up to maximum in a lower gear? And generally drive in an acceptable way. Most auto cars default to “eco” mode of driving with the aim to reduce fuel consumption, but it often turns out to be far too sluggish for some of us. I can only imagine any fault will lie within the gearbox change system or in the fuel control system. Running in manual will help separate an engine fault from a gearbox fault.
  12. I can confirm that having locked myself in the car switching on the ignition with the dumb key unlocks all doors.
  13. @wyx087Car soaking inside and will need drying out. I was speaking to a driver before he went into a flood and he drove in and a lorry followed him before i got my window closed. At Stirling the CPS app shows in 48 minutes i took 30.002 kW & that was £10.50. (Correct for 30 x 35 pence) MINI App says 28 kW. Started with 8% and stopped at 95%. Started charging at home @ 11.12 am and app says finished at 01-12 am. That was 9% when charge started, it will charge to 100%. I will be interested to see how many kW the car shows and what my meter shows. EDIT / PS, Thursday morning. Car / app says it took 33 kW. Range showing at 100 %. That was 9% / 8 miles to 100% / 80 miles.
  14. Just out of interest, quotes for the Octy replac front side window was £226.85 and a replacement key was £395 😵‍💫 still making enquiries re a blind key just to open the door. will report back when I get the info. so far the best answer was as soon as we are in the car, I keep the key in case the initial scenario happens again.
  15. Yes, I think that's most likely of all the possibilities. Or perhaps just the needle put back in the wrong position after dis-assembly of the cluster?? It could also be bad information from the crank sensor, but I think that would cause other starting or running problems. VCDS or VCDS Lite could be used to tell you what rpm the engine ECU is actually outputting to the cluster.
  16. One thing we are missing from this thread is a full scan of the car. It feels like the mechanic is just replacing bits here...without doing a big picture review.
  17. Ps. What is a Registered Disabled driver? I have never heard of that term. You get PIP DLA maybe. You might get a Blue Badge. You might qualify for VED exemption and exemption of LEZ for non compliant vehicles if VED class disabled. You might have had a Green Card and Registered Disabled. Many Disabled or Infirm do not get benefits, get on the Notability Scheme or want to lease from them.
  18. OK, all the same he is the first YouTuber I have come across that has dared to go against what the others do. He has brought those issues further into the glare of public scrutiny which has to be a positive thing, right? As to the issues with refuelling of ICE vehicles by the disabled, the situation is not as bad and apart from stations such Asda with their at pump ones, there is assistance at most stations but it does take a few minutes to arrange. This I know because my Eldest sons girlfriend is also a registered disabled driver.
  19. I decided to go ahead and change the heater blower motor (part ref 5q2819021b) and this has fixed the issue. My fan speed is behaving again as it should and all heater controls are okay.
  20. We have tracks but why would you need or want to with a road car, if the car suspension settings are that badly out you also need a tow car and trailer to get it to the track. Just a matter of being sensible make minor adjustment by road use and sensible drives and building up as is sensible. This is car drivers stuff not crazy motorbikers (or organ-donors as they're sometimes referred to) stuff. OFF-TOPIC WARNING: - When I was young I used to got to hardcore bikers (black leather jackets, cut-off with studs and oil covered jeans) pubs and events as I liked the music, but I have never had a motorbike in my life particularly after having a pillion ride on one of my biker mate's bike. I vowed if I ever got on the back of bike again I would have my hands not on the back of the seat but around the testicles of the bloke up front to control his ego. BTW - heavy metal was Black Sabbeth but I don't remember it being called that, it was known as Heavy (or 'eavy as most of us commoners don't pronounce the h at the start of words) and despite "heavy metal thunder" being in the lyrics of Steppenwolfe's Born to be wild. Deep Purple were known as hard rock and I didn't see heavy metal used until an AC/DC cover on a, released later, 7" vinyl single. At the time it came out Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell LP, all the tracks, was on all the time at the biker's pub I went to, strange as it's all theatrical rather than heavy.
  21. Fitting 215/60R16 to the Superb MK3 with ET50 offset rims is not a good idea. The tyres will look sunken in the wheelarches and you might find that the handling doesn't feel quite right as you will have lost quite a bit of track width. I suggest looking at offsets between ET33 to ET43 for the 215/60R16 tyre size, ie. between +3mm and -7mm compared to the 7Jx17 ET40 rim (215/55R17 tyre size). I've linked to a couple of steel rims at the extremes of the ET33 and ET43 range, but there are plenty of alloy rim options between ET33 and ET43 in the 16" size, especially if looking at secondhand VAG rims. 6.5Jx16 ET33 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from VW Tiguan MK1) https://www.oponeo.pl/felga-stalowa/alcar-kfz-9922 6.5Jx16 ET43 5/112 57.1 steel rim (from Audi A3) https://www.oponeo.pl/felga-stalowa/magnetto-wheels-mw-r1-1871
  22. I don't know and don't care at all...If I find by accident and is easy to fix, dirt cheap I'll do. This engine wich I think is a good one souds very bad at idle. The vacuum pump sounds like grinding at low temperature ,the flywheel has a light clatter noise also, the exhaust flap rattles like hell sometimes (I sprayed some cooper lube and I guess is gone)....all are normal. I had another squeak with the timing belt tensioner, but I replaced the kit and is gone. It takes 10 to 20km to propper warm up the engine and to get quiet. The good part is none is present in the cabin.
  23. Ignore the Evri thing. Can’t edit the post. Lol
  24. Says it all really. Happy Christmas to everyone. 👍🏻🎄
  25. Ps re the Aircon I have a vague recollection that there is a ' hot country ' setting that can be changed in VCDS or similar to boost the output...

My fabia heater fan packed up in December 2022.It took 5 months for them to replace the heater resistor pack. Failed again in November 2023, this time they changed the fan motor and resistor pack. Failed again December 2023 so now in garage again, they say they will look at the wiring this time. Fingers crossed as the car was new in September 2022
