  1. I got the full spec for my 2024 Sportline from the Digital Certificate obtained on My ŠKODA App.

I received my new Karoq Sportline 1.5tsi dsg7 in the beautiful Phoenix Orange colour. It's my second Karoq. Love this car! 💪
  3. Done that with success. Fantastic, many many thanks
  4. Try forcing a reset - hold the on/off button for at least 10 seconds until it begins a reboot.
  5. There's a switch on the roof console that doesn't actually switch the lights off but when pressed allows the rear light swiches to work, so it's a two stage operation!
  6. Is the problem though your brakes will be fine, Until the water content causes the fluid to boil. That water becomes gas and you lose brake pressure, hence lose brakes. So all is fine until heavy braking is required.
  7. The financial road tax penalty of buying a car with invoice price >40k is something I wouldn’t live with. You end up paying an extra £410 a year for the first five years, so that’s £600 per year minimum - EVEN IF YOU BUY IT SECOND HAND within those 5 years. I simply refuse to be ripped off by the government that much!
  8. Hi again. I have dug out my notes from 2018. It has reminded me that the heating element differs between leather and non-leather seats. I will attempt to post the document, it's in MS Word format. Yeti heated seat replacement.docx
  9. Just to clear this up, in the top picture ( orange car ) the daytime running light DRL is split over the 2 levels of the headlight, you can also see the led main unit is a projector type.... this is the matrix version. In the lower picture, the DRL is one bar and goes across the whole light, not dropping down in the lower part. You can also see that the unit is full of reflectors.... this is the standard led version. ( a downgrade on the previous LED version which was a projector (non matrix) version)
  10. VW engines were mounted a bit higher to lift the oil pan, but the 1.3 engine was the same. The engine bushing has 76mm diameter, a collapsed bushing may do ~2cm difference. Felicia 1.6 dampers may take care of that - there was 20kg difference between those 2 and some higher equipped 1.3 Felicias had them from the factory, according to the service manual.
  11. my new work van has it too, and because its a 2024 build its programmed to come on EVERY time you turn the key.. stop for fuel? its all back on... jump out for 30seconds to unlock a gate and take the keys with you out of habit... all back on again. i turn it off everytime because a) the speed warning bings at you for 1kph over the detected speed limit even though the gps speed shows the indicated speed is higher than actual.. b) the evasive steering twice sent me hard right to "avoid collisions" with cars turning left from filter lanes towards oncoming lorries.. c) the autobraking kicked in one damp night because i was approaching the bottom of a hill.. on a motorway... d) the lane departure tries to either push you into the ditch or onto the wrong side of the road on narrow zroads depending on where it picks up a faded centre line or the ditch.. i hate it all...
  12. And I changed the safety feature to LOW, after a much more serious intervention before I got used to the car and it's settings.
  13. 20250123_085638_001_001_001_001_001_002_001.mp4 10mb max for tight arses, Lol.........
  14. Fingers crossed it just needs a few more longer journeys to set it right again. It appears that there is quite a drain on the battery when the car doesn't get used much, particularly during winter months. So much tech on board that never sleeps.

I think it needs to seal but not necessarily lock. So if the Citigo fuel cap can still be twisted up to seal the end it might be still good. Two of my cars don't have key locking fuel caps and one has passed 12 MOT's already. Thanks. AG Falco
  16. That could be an important consideration, as I think the Matrix version requires a complete sealed unit in the event of a failure not a simple bulb replacement.
  17. Air shock. The car is quite heavily modified Felicia Fun. @Skury was active on this forum, so he might tell more 5 bolt on the rear is the easier part, since 93 Favorit and Felicia use the entire brake assembly from MK3 Golf. The front is the issue, because it's specific for Favorit/Felicia, which is why the front conversion needs parts from different brands. There's something wrong. I was quite often skidding with front mudflaps, without hitting the bumpstop.
  18. Ok, that Syphon tube must be filled with the blue liquor. I will post photos of the test.

Your wife has no taste 😜 just kidding. We love the colour. Funny thing, my wife always chooses the colour and she doesn't like red on a car 😁 I like the red, but veto from her. I also like race blue, but we already had a Skoda Octavia in that colour.

The colour my wife refers to as "baby diarrhoea!" She is not a fan. 😞 I quite like it. However, due to the wife's veto I have a "velvet" red Karoq which likewise is not to everyone taste.....
  21. I like my Karoq and I would add quieter to the above.....but I miss my Yeti for its character. To me it was a mini 2wd G-Wagon. The perfect car would be Karoq technology in a Yeti . tom
  22. No protein supplements?
  23. My Sportline has the Matrix LED headlights with auto dip/main. I’ve compared them to the photos and it’s very difficult to be sure which one they match, so I’ve not indicated in case I got it wrong. If you are buying from a Skoda dealer they should be able to provide the precise spec, it’s on the Skoda systems, I’ve seen it with our other Skoda. Also there is a chat feature on the Skoda website and they can take a vin of reg number and provide the spec. Matrix LEF and auto dip/main is well worth having.
  24. Ah well, no immediate rush then.👍
  25. I paid to have the emissions fix software rolled back, I never hear an interrupted regen now (twice in 3 years), I think its happening every 1000kms or maybe 1000 miles which is a safety default, my DPF never builds up enough soot to trigger a regen due to the passive regeneration, yours would not either but for the software update. 250-300 miles means the DPF is working well. When you are more used to VCDS try output tests on the EGR to see if you have one and if its doing as commanded, hopefully it will not!!!!
  26. At least they are cancelling themselves almost immediately. That is progress!
  27. Yes. In that tube device (no doubt there's a name for it but I don't know or forget) if it's the same size as other available there's 2ml of fluid. - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/123735248113
  28. Yeah well after taking it out this morning the tpms light went off but I will be getting it changed to match the rest
  29. I would think the mismatched tyre sizes will be your problem there. The TPMS works off the ABS so any irregularities might well put the light on.
  30. Have you found the Audio, Electronics & Security part of Briskoda yet? In that part of the forum, they have the correct latest map downloads for the appropriate systems.
  31. New Y here in UK, "launch edition" for £61k with a few extras pre-configured. On sale at same time as old model on their website. Looks like the expensive launch edition is to clear stock of old model. Within a few years that extra spent for launch edition will mean diddly squat.
  32. Does your car have internet connectivity, i.e. does it show a red cross where it should show the globe on the infotainment screen? If you don't, you can pull a couple of fuses (as per another thread), but I found it easier and quicker to just pull the battery lead for a min or so. This should force it to re-connect to the servers as that may be causing your car to not report in and configure.
  33. No your fluid would not have been changed on a service unless you asked for it to be done this i have found out myself from prevoius services from dealerships they should do it but don't, to be honest unless you have done mega miles and done hard stops every day or live in a rain forest 5 years is about the time to look at changing the fluid, can be done yourself or garage would do this but be prepared some places sting you and say it needs pads shoes discs etc or in one case they told my mate he needed a new set of calipers as the bleed screws were rusted in, but after a quick release spray they came out (replaced tem with stainless steel ones) much much cheaper than new calipers, did the fluid change for him as well new fluid new bleed screws all done for a couple of beers he was happy and I was to
  34. When making a post @Tilt click on 'Add files'. Your PC/ Phone will open up downloads or whatever and you can locate the video. Click on the file and then click OK and it should upload automatically. Click 'Insert into post' and Bob's your mother's brother. Don't forget max file size is 50Mb. Hope that helps or at least gets you on the right track 👍 Hopefully this vid I made in 2013 is still valid
  35. It was rumoured Skoda might not put a towing weight unless prep was spec'd at point of order but I don't think they ever actually did this unless someone knows for fact that's not right. There was an early model that wasn't homologated to tow but that's it. All mk 2 come with towbar prep as standard.

If it does not turn with the key, it's either seized or broken. Try the spare key, in case your main key is worn. If seized, lots of penetrating oil may help (silicone is too thick to get into tight spaces), but if broken, it will be hard to disassemble and attempt repair, I think.

I bought a hose dispenser for my Yeti which stopped when the correct level was reached. I can also remember a smaller quantity ad blue bottle that came with a rigid spout that cut off when the correct level was reached. Have you tried either option.
  38. Take the stuff on Wheeler Dealers with a pinch of salt, it got slightly more realistic costings in more recent years but not all of the work done is listed or shown in the program, Mike became the patron of or car club a few years back but he's known the club and promoted it at the NEC shows for more years. I did wonder what restrictions you might have but you can have a look at that list as they are widely available brands and I would guess models, but different markets have different availabilities of models and sizes. Those tyres are for road use, they will of course vary in price and quality but I doubt any will be lower quality as they are for motorsport use. Don't mix up the extreme (and over pampered, monied, politicked) high level motor sports with the low end stuff that many do in the UK winning at best a plastic cup at the end of a season. A decent F1 owner would also be interested in your car.
  39. It can be done, I found this on Czech Facebook page But if I'm not mistaken, with exception of the 288mm variant, Fabia has the caliper bracket as part of the hub. Same case with other VWs with small vented brakes. I didn't mean the exact same part, but some reputable brand. Bosch isn't exactly brand focused on making brake components. One thing I forgot about the Renault brake discs - they need the center bore to be enlarged by ~1mm, it's not a straightforward conversion either.
  40. Foundry job, too expensive. Even for Greece the price is high, there is an extra tax due to Customs since England is not in the EU now. Their rear brakes aren't drum as we have.
  41. I doubt a large volume of water will get in there... Have you checked the plenum drains aren't blocked?
  42. Thank you for the advice it is very much appreciated anything that could possibly help is a great idea.
  43. Thank you for the reply I have decided I will be replacing it all for peace of mind. I will take before, during and after pictures to show the journey. Thank you so much that information will definitely come in handy when I am attempting to replace it myself.

If you use the VAG adblue filler hose (optional extra accessory purchase,) then it cuts off when the tank is at the correct level, typical you need to pay VAG to do something that should be simple 🙃 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Genuine-Filling-Hose-Adblue-Solution/dp/B01AS75V76

That's not normal. I had my old mk1 Octavia for 12.5 years and over 150k miles and it never did it. The pedal should reset to 0 when you lift your foot off completely. If it doesn't then it might be excessive friction in the pivot or a weak spring that is preventing it fully returning.
  46. Wow, that's great. Mine went down by £80 this January, I was shocked when I opened that email, agreed to the renewal quote in 30 seconds. Thought it maybe an age thing or my location.
  47. can't answer, i prefer Waze
  48. I always insist on a print out when I go and pay and collect the car. I will never remember 12 months later what was and wasn't done, and keeping a paper copy is the only free way to find out. To be honest, and may be I am old fashioned, but I prefer a stamped maintenance book, not some digital record somewhere that I cannot access.
