Exactly. It's well known glitch on Matrix Headlights documented on few Internet forums. Hopefully I will get to the bottom of this. 👌

As an executive summary - this is where essentially, instead of lighting up the left side of the road and keeping it low on the right (to stop the other side being dazzled), the car does the opposite and keeps the light low on the left and lights up the right-hand side of the road?

I am fighting for pernament software patch or fixed TPI Buletin Number so everyone else can get their car fixed. Can you please reply to me with make and model of your car if experiencing same issue with Matrix headlights and your location? This list will be handed to technicians in UK and Czech who are receiving data logs from my car and also Senior management in Skoda UK and Volkswagen Group UK to flag this as not individual issue but glitch affecting thousands of drivers.. They already received my appendix with technical risk assessment and corporate product liability. Once my car being fixed I will post case reference number, software versions and how to escalate this and get your car fixed for free!

Welcome to the forum. Do I assume correctly this vehicle isn't fitted with DCC suspension? I cannot see any way the ride height sensor can actually affect ride height - it senses the ride height for correct headlight alignment - not control ride height. Most likely a tired spring - or possibly an incorrect replacement at some time.

Just purchased a 2025 Kamiq, not had a Skoda before, but used to own a Seat Leon which was reliable. Hopefully the Skoda will be the same.

There are much brighter LED replacements that simply plug & play, I fitted two, plus one in the glove compartment of my Mk3 and they are a huge improvement. Best to avoid the very cheap units from a certain Chinese online seller.

Can confirm that I had success with a Volkswagen ID7, hardware number 10C035816C with the MEB file for 1.31.66 (compared to factory original of 1.31.52) Various missing stations (mostly Bauer!) are now working

Just by way of an update. I upgraded the fronts several months ago, and have been running them in since. Ended up going with the Kef R11 meta’s and an R6 centre. Lovely sounding neutral speaker with fantastic clarity for music and movies. Elevated dialogue to a point where I don’t rewind content now, to hear what someone said 😂. Replaced the bulb in the projector, and have a Sony Bravia 7 mk2 in 85” ordered to update the visuals. Kef Ci 160 X 4 being added for heights to add atmos, so I can make use of certain content from Apple TV etc. PB17 still running well, and still a fantastic product. Recent update to the app allowed for auto EQ function, which works extremely well at flattening out the curve and has tightened in the response compared to my manual settings by ear.

Thank you for the feedback! I do love the ability of being able to change the maps when needed and have access to all maps, it’s what I used to do with my old APR-tuned A4. However, to be fair, Revo does offer a budget version of that via the cruise control stalk that allows you to change between the various octanes and/or a valet/theft mode. As amazing of a selling point as that is, since 95RON is the highest available over here and isn’t necessarily the highest quality fuel out there, I don’t see myself going past Stage 1 on my daily driver anytime soon. I might do the intercooler in the future due to the heat over here, but that’s all. It’s coming down to the pricing at the end of the day. Stopping by the Revo dealer this weekend and, if it doesn’t work out, I’ll order a PDM through a dealer abroad and do it myself!

To me, given the description and the errors you quote I think it's not actually a gearbox or clutch issue but actually a brake sensor or hub bearing issue... Especially at that mileage.

In an ordinary manual transmission that starts to make a noise during a gear change up or down, I'd suspect the thrust releast bearing being the culprit, especially as the clutch is not slipping and working fine otherwise.

Not a car change as such, just a Superb doing what it's great at, 4 people, a boot full of luggage and two bikes going on holiday in complete comfort and still managed mid 40's mpg.

I confirm you can fit 4x 19" wheels/tyres in the Superb Estate boot. Very convenient.

No, but that's way beyond being worth trying to save. I did refurb the car's original alt, but it's a right faff on the Valeo designs, and I wasn't very happy with the result. I did fit a new slipring assembly, which was pretty cheap, but I wouldn't bother again. Only paid £109 delivered for this aftermarket new one. The alt that the post-mortem pictures are of was sold on ebay as being from a car with only 50-odd thousand miles on it. In 6:6 (metric of 20:20) hindsight, I call BS!

Got back to the car in Ely at around 9.30 last night. Set about swapping in my new alt at about 6.30 this morning. Back on the road homeward by 9, home just about noon. I was persuaded by my sister not to hang around until 3pm to be there for when her 107 comes out of its MOT. Que sera, sera. New, 140A alt (thanks for that idea @stigma ) working well, as was the A/C fortunately! 😎

Penultimate Sportline-a-like upgrade. 8mm black trim strip added to the the lower door trim. https://a.aliexpress.com/_EISPHpy OEM has a recess so would have had to change entire colour matched lower trim piece to get a completely stocked look. Yet again @JR RS leads the way with adding an external trim strip to achieve the same effect. Just the roof rails to change now for the full black out of chrome.

I had the same problem with a 2022 Golf 8, eventually it will get looser, the plastic will split and the gear knob will start coming off in our hand. VW redesigned it, I had a replacement part fitted and have not had a problem since.
