  1. It cannot be justified without disassembling the whole unit.
  2. I'm sorry I don't have any 😞
  3. In such case I believe you need some diagnostics tool to check SW version. Generally I'm afraid that flash memory chip that keeps software failed. Let me know VIN so I can check part number and share some more ideas.
  4. All check your PMs.
  5. As SW version 04xx has NEVER been released for SKODA MIB STD2 PQ units then I believe he used SEAT or VW SW with modified metainfo2.txt so I think he messed up verion numbers.
  6. Yes, because there is single pair audio cable going from BT to the radio - you have to add another 2 wires cable to have stereo streaming.
  7. Correct. PM resent.
  8. Your unit does NOT and will NOT support it, you must have both glove box and siplay unit replaced. If you are interested pls contact me on PM.
  9. There is no way to avoid SVM (Software Version Management) error and it can be cleared only with diagnostics using special procedure with checksum calculation. If you have valid original licenses they will still be active. All check your PM
  10. Have never seen any video of this but if you are familiar with soldering you should not have any issue.
  11. As expected - Columbus MIB1, no CANTON, so yu either must have it repaired or retrofit MIB2 unit (Amundsen or Columbus). If you are interested in retrofit then pls contact me on PM.
  12. So you have Columbus MIB1 and I assume you have no CANTON (pls post VIN to double check). This probably is a typical failure of dry joints in power amplifier chips, it can be repaired by resoldering the pins on both power chips. It helps in 80% of th ecases. If it doesn't help then unfortunately both chips must be replaced. Alternatively, you can replace glove box unit either with MIB2 Amundsen or MIB2 Columbus as they both work OK with your display unit (5E0919606).
  13. Side comment to @BDDK - you either have to add aftermarket BT module (which I do NOT recommend) or replace the infotainment system. Unfortunately, as I don;t know anyone who can hack MIB1 Bolero then my recommendation is to replace both glove box and display units with MIB2 series, e.g. Bolero glove box unit 5Q0035840x (x - A, B or C) and display unit, e.g. 5E0919605H or 5E0919605N. This will give you more features, e.g. Android Auto, Apple CarPlay (requires USB exchange as well), Performance Monitor, Voice Command, support for rear view camera. If you are interested pls contact me on PM.
  14. I cam make it definitely under £750 :). Let me know your VIN.
  15. Nope, 5E0035812A DOES NOT have BT module. The ones that have are other Bolero units - 5E0035819A, 5E0035820A, 5E0035840A, 5E0035842A.
  16. Have you followed below information included in th eoffer, especially running Android OS in version 12 or higher?
  17. 5E0035045D is MIB1 unit, MIB1 units do NOT support CarPlay neither Android Auto. You need to replace glove box unit with MIB2 - either Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus.
  18. How can I tell you what system you have if I don't know VIN?
