If the water pump belt snaps. at best it's an inconvenience. It's not going to damage your engine as a snapped cambelt would.

You can set it for one press on the fob to open drivers door only or set it to open all doors with 2 or 3 presses.

If it's a Columbus system it doesn't need an SD card for the sat nav to work. The data is stored on its internal memory. Any SD card of a suitable size will work to transfer the data. Are you sure it's a Columbus, as you mention a Skoda SD card of 7gb in your first post?

Mine has just done the same thing. Coil light flashing and s/s not working. This was during a 200 mile trip of mainly motorway and A roads. Was still flashing when I reached home. No loss of performance. Was not used for a month and then had a 150 mile trip, 80% of it on the motorway. No faults at all but average fuel consumption down by 8 / 10 mpg. Could this be a sign of the egr failing?

So in this case, if you were the OP, you would negotiate a deal on a car knowing it had a faulty DPF but the price you paid reflected this. After purchase would you then expect the garage to replace the DPF at their expense and if not use the Consumer Rights Act?
