Washer Funnel Cap Difference?
This page suggests it's the same thing - or at least shows both part numbers for one item https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/6v0955485-windscreen-washer-tank-cap-skoda-37322.html

Battery replacement 2010 Yeti
Seconded... If you haven't got stop/start (or battery monitor) then no need to code the new battery

Issues with Android Auto after towbar install
Yup, on the back of the unit in the glove box. I think it's probably the yellow fakra IIRC. I can't see any reason for them to have disturbed the connector below the climate panel 😕 Might be worth contacting the fitter and asking them to check for you?

Ambient temp sensor location-2017 Octavia hatch
Based on the workshop manual, it's in the normal VAG location (number 9): It also suggests the front bumper needs removing to access it but you might be lucky and not need to:

Issues with Android Auto after towbar install
At a guess, the fakra connector for the USB socket isn't correctly attached. They probably removed the headunit for better access to the fuse box. The USB socket uses a fakra for power/data but there is also a second power feed to allow for faster charging etc which ties in with your symptoms assuming the first isn't connected

Will a dealership approve a newer part on an older model?
I'd assume they'd use the part catalogue from Skoda to find the 'correct' part for your car. If it's been superseded you might get something newer but I doubt they'd take your word a 3QF is compatible over the part catalogue guidance. They have nothing to gain and risk not being able to code/parameterise/calibrate the 3QF version if the software they use doesn't recognise it as valid for your car. You could ask for a settlement figure and then find a garage to do the work for you with a part you supply...?

Screen washer jets
It's pretty unusual for VAG to fit wires that aren't used so I'd be very surprised if the wiring for heated jets is present on a car with unheated jets...

Retrofit ACC
ACC doesn't need the front camera... It uses the radar unit If you already have front assist, then you'll probably need to switch the radar unit, possibly add some wiring then it's on to coding/FeC codes. If you don't have front assist, you'll need some radar mounting parts, a radar and to add the wiring too. edit: ACC doesn't 'need' the A5 camera but I think if you have an appropriate A5 camera then you'll get pACC (predictive adaptive cruise control).

Replacing a Rear View Camera - What is the Procedure?
Depends what you count as expensive...? Genuine highline cameras are about £75 and there are various aftermarket Chinese cameras for about £30. It'll be very similar to fitting a camera to an Octavia:
-
Average consumption 1
Maybe the trip has rolled over. There is a max distance/time it can record and then it'll reset. Maybe check the distance driven and driving time to see if they are quite low...?

Oil sensor fault Octavia vRS 2019
Could you ask him exactly what he changed? Curious as I also have a 245 vRS and didn't need to do anything special when retrofitting the VC. I still get oil temperature too 😕

1.4 tsi CAXA ecu update - help with software version?
Good luck! I probably have the update files somewhere but you'll need to find someone with ODIS or VCP to flash them (VCDS can't).

VRS Blackline - Amundsen System - No Bluetooth?
If I remember correctly, no blackline got bluetooth as standard so the 'Phone' button working as mute is completely normal... That being said, they normally have an Amundsen+ (RNS-315) fitted - most of these do have the BT hardware installed but disabled. If you want to check, remove the headunit from the car and look for a sticker with a MAC address. If it's 00:00:00:00:00:00 then it doesn't have BT built in, if it's any other numbers, then you're in luck. Assuming that's the case, you just need to add a microphone and enable BT in the headunit coding This thread might help:

1.4 tsi CAXA ecu update - help with software version?
Those HW/SW part numbers match up with some autoscans online: Address 01: Engine (CAX) Labels: 03C-906-016-CAX.clb Part No SW: 03C 906 016 AK HW: 03C 906 016 C Component: MED17.5.5 G 5295 There are three likely update files: 9970 9059 8177 9970 matches in to the post you mentioned and examples can be found online: Address 01: Engine (CAX) Labels: 03C-906-016-CAX.clb Part No SW: 03C 906 016 AK HW: 03C 906 016 C Component: MED17.5.5 G 9970 So yes, I'd agree that 9970 is probably the latest SW version for you car and the dealer is being rubbish... I'd be tempted to grab the TPI from erwin and present that to the dealer assuming your symptoms match the ones in the document

Activating Lane Assist using OBDeleven
I think they want to add lane assist (uses the A5 camera) rather than lane change assist (blind spot assist) via radars. @Dajver - it'll depend exactly which camera you have but this post might help:

Q : Adjust the steering effort with VCDS... ?
Not quite... The same steering rack is used in many car models so there are a selection of datasets available. A dealer would normally use ODIS with an online connection so it'll select the correct dataset based on your VIN. It won't offer the dealer a choice. However, the datasets are also available for offline use (some dealers may have poor internet) so if you find the dataset you want, a dealer could do an offline line update to use it. I doubt many dealers will want to do this for you though... There is more info here: - https://skodapilot.com/2015/12/25/harakteristiki-rulevogo-upravleniya-pq35-chast-1/ - https://skodapilot.com/2016/09/07/harakteristiki-rulevogo-upravleniya-chast-2-go-deeper/ Rough idea of how to do the update and parameter change using: - VAS (old dealer software) https://skodapilot.com/2014/02/10/steering-curve-audi-tt-rs/ - ODIS (current dealer software) https://www.drive2.ru/l/473929369941705132/ - VCP https://www.drive2.ru/l/538914630311870716/

1.4 tsi CAXA ecu update - help with software version?
Yup. I've used it a few times to get wiring diagrams, service manuals and TPI/TSB's, If I recall, it's €7 + tax for an hour, other time periods are available too: https://erwin.skoda-auto.cz/erwin/showHome.do If torque will give the SW and HW part numbers along with the SW version, that should be enough.
-
1.4 tsi CAXA ecu update - help with software version?
You should check Erwin as that'll give you the TPI/TSB for your car. If there are any engine software updates, that's where you'll find the information. Once you know a TPI/TSB exists, then you might have more chance at a dealers to get it done. Without seeing an autoscan or similar, I can't suggest any likely updates...

Q : Adjust the steering effort with VCDS... ?
You need to flash a new dataset. It's not possible with VCDS, you'll need something like ODIS or VCP.

TEMPERATURE PROBLEM
As above, this is almost certainly a thermostat issue, not a sensor. You might be confusing the garages if you're using the terms interchangeably...? It could be either stat but given the DSG stat is much cheaper and easier to replace, it's typically a good plan to swap that first. It'll be a similar procedure to other VAG cars, for example: - https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/445467-dsg-equipped-cars-second-thermostat/ - https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=78341.0

Stop Start problem
I think you give me too much credit If it's in the lcode, then it'll be pretty hard to find without seeing the byte descriptions which I won't have access to. If it's an adaption channel, it might be guessable depending how obvious VAG have made it. It's not a module I'm particularly familiar with so I'm not even sure if such a thing exists yet
-
Stop Start problem
There might be an adaption channel or part of the ACC lcode that changes this... As I mentioned above, I haven't got ACC so I can't check on my car I'm afraid 😕

Amundsen MIB2 Firmware Update
@purephotoni - you need to get the value from your headunit, xor it with C9 D2 and then enter the resulting value. It's mentioned in the video description. It's very unlikely to match the value in the video

Aux to usb - Can it be done?
Something like this? No, I can't see that doing anything in an Octavia. You should get a small MP3 player or similar and use that instead. The alternative would be to retrofit an MDI kit which will give you the option to connect a USB stick
