I would trying taking off the plastic pipe which the MAF goes into as there should be part number there as some of the Bosch replacement ones come pre-installed, so you replace the complete pipe rather than just the insert.

As above it makes no sense not to put a new dmf and clutch in while the gearbox is out especially if it is still the original at 145k as you will save on future labour costs

I would go for 5w40 VW spec 505.01 for annual changes as it's cheaper and offers better protection as oil was design for PD engines without DPF.

No coding required unless you are getting a new key fob as the immobilizer chip is in the fob and communicates with the ECU. I ended up changing the lock mechanism but reusing the key barrel. If you are use a key barrel from another car you can swop the key blade over to your old key fob so the immobilizer and remote locking still works. I think you can also order key barrels to match your existing key from Skoda.

The intercooler hose might be worn out as there are aluminium tabs that keeps the hose in place, once these are worn the hose will need to be replaced to stop them popping out under boost.

The previous owner might of just cut the sensor wire and coded them out. Have a look at front nearside to see if there is any sensor lead left unplugged.

I would replace the fuel filter and drain the fuel from the fuel filter housing and replace it with some new stuff as fuel does go off with age.

that's fine as I thought you meant putting extra grease on the bolt as there will be always some grease in the cv joint where the bolt goes through

it will be dry as it is not common practice to put grease on your hub bolts - just remember always use new bolts as they are stretch bolts and are one time use only

Might just need a quick drive to clear the lights as when you disconnect the battery the dash will light up like a Christmas tree until you go for short drive.

If it hasn't had its dsg oil changed at 160k then it needs doing as it needs changing every 40k
