9x20 ET 35 245/35 Superb 3 Sportline FWD
9” wide so an extra inch width, and an extra 12mm on offset pushing the outer edge wider is the equivalent of about 16/17mm extra poke. Not sure it’s a problem with that ride height but certainly a few others will have more input.

Does anyone else have these niggling problems with the Amundsen stereo?
Good point: B7 RS4 E36 M3 Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
First and 3rd pics are definitely clear. Much better and yes I see the beam is well below the door glass on the campervan. Almost too low.

You can get warm white led fogs if you wanted - but looks like the colour temp is what you wanted to change anyway. Can’t remember the last time I drove in fog either though tbh. Or whether I can turn fogs on with auto headlights on

More than good enough 👍🏼

How do you mean wrong e-mark? As in it’s a fake mark? Hoping those shots are full-beam and not dipped; otherwise you’re going to get flashed a lot. How does the dipped beam line look? It shouldn’t go above the door line on other cars then you’re fine tbh.

Depends what you're looking for. But if the car is standard, just go with OE.

Shouldn't be a problem tbh - the bulb is likely not e-marked which is the only UK "legal" issue although there are e-marked ones starting to appear. If its going in the HID cluster then there's no impact on light spread as that is governed by the lens in the cluster rather than the bulb. Height comes off a sensor at the rear so if that's working and the headlight cluster is working then no obvious problems.

VAG definitely don’t care enough to muck around with these bits. Not enough dev time, critical fixes only etc etc. MIB3 had some catastrophic firmware updates that they needed to fix and in some cases replace hardware - in cases of Mk4 Octavia generation, they had soft buttons for heater controls so couldn’t change the temperature. Gotta be careful moving to another brand though; not that VAG is good but plenty aren’t any better.

Skoda Sportline Exhaust
An adaptor could work for sure - I think there's enough room to cut the original adaptor off and slide the replacements on; at which I was wondering about driving self-tapping screws through at particular angles to hold it fast etc. But that feels like a bit of a bodge and the cost-benefit analysis starts to reduce at the point of taking it to a shop. Fundamentally I like the Sleeper look - little nods to being slightly different are all very well but only if its quick/easy/effective/subtle.

Cheers @tombee - yes they look the right shape some of them. Spotted neighbour over the road with a GLC which seems to be the same as originally mentioned and MartiniB’s ones. I think these would be the sort of thing - seems the right size and slant. My curiosity is the inlet. It’s a massive oval so not sure if that would work.

CANCELLED - East Midlands Meet - Wednesday 18th March 2020 - Junc 28 M1
Yea it just doesn’t seem to be the thing these days; same as group buys.

Canton playing music from iPhone - Default to alphabetical order
No facility to copy music over to an internal hard drive as far as I know. Its just a bit of a rubbish facility designed to just 'play'. The key interactive MIB stuff I tend to default to Carplay (or AA if that's your phone) - maps I tend to use Waze or Google Maps (I'm finding Waze doesn't automatically give me the quickest route these days for some reason) and Spotify for music.

1.0 CHZB woes
I mean it’s only got 7k on the clock and still within warranty so less than 3 years old. Appreciate it could hypothetically have 15 owners but on the basis that it hasn’t, is this not overly indicative of this engine?

1.0 CHZB woes
Hi all, Not my car - a friend’s asked about his colleague’s Audi A1 with this engine. Said it sounded like a bag of spanners and needed a litre of oil to get to the min mark. He can’t see any evidence of weeping or leaks, no signs of burning. 7k miles on the clock. Is this a bit of an oil-user and it just hasn’t been checked? Or possibly some work done and not topped up? And does it sound a bit tappety? If not I’m wondering if it’s possible the belt’s slipped…?

3 Temp DTC Codes at once
Sheesh - my spider sense errs on the side of caution there. It’s not illogical but there could be a myriad of factors differing your two cars which means one doesn’t need a cooling system and one could benefit from it. But that’s as much my inexperience as anything.

3 Temp DTC Codes at once
Good that you’ve got a partial clearance. No experience on the iV side of things but sounds like if the specialist is pointing to a main dealer it’s probably quite intricate. Keep the thread updated though - hopefully someone can help!

Sounds good but have a look at those links. Images just need img, not url as well and they’re doubled up.

I thought plenty of Golf guys have run bigger power on stock fuelling…assuming that’s the same between the different variants of the engine. Stage 3 sounds awesome. Bigger turbo will prob be on the cards for me some time but not yet.

S-pin merry-go-round
I always had the same - either enter the PIN in front of everyone else in the car or just put up with the fact it tells you it’s not protected. No brainer for me - I don’t even take notice of the message anymore.

Skoda Sportline Exhaust
S6 diffuser looks too symmetrical and slightly rounded. The Skoda diffuser is square cut and angled towards the inner edge. Don’t think it would look right.
