Car Skanner has an option for trunk parameters. Now everyone can set the trunk closing from the button in the cabin using the phone and obd. If I haven't tried it. You do everything at your own peril and risk

Have clicked this CarScanner function today and wanted to enable closing tailgate from interior and remote button on module 5Q0959107P [software version 0266, Superb from 2019, no kessy]. Now interior button only unlocks tailgate (its not going up like it used to earlier). But closing with remote when ignition is off works by keeping remote pressed till its closed (it hasnt earlier). Reversing module dataset from backup doesnt help.

Noticed that this function doesnt save option which user changes. Even though I clicked "Apply" and get confirmation that data was accepted it gets back to start after clicking "Refresh".

How can I now make tailgate to open by clicking interior button? Is there a possibility to reset module 6D to factory default? Or type the right coding in anywhere? There is option to include user parameters at the end of this function. Could anyone help me please? I can paste whole current  coding/parametrization of this module.

Hello. I'll go to the garage and take a look. everything should be simple.

And so, I don't have parameter 0266, but you can try this: my original file, as it was from the factory IMG_20230816_092856.thumb.jpg.2ed98e40cf43c8a8ece957888cce6cb2.jpgIMG_20230816_092935.thumb.jpg.bbbeb4f37c07776fef88fb1045ebdaba.jpg

Thanks @igrozan for your informations.

Have no idea how I did it but now my tailgate works like it should do. Opens and closes with interior button and remote. To close it I have to keep buttons pressed till it locks.

Today morning I clicked "Long coding" --> "Tailgate/bootlid" and clicked "Reset module" and then "Hard reset". After that my tailgate started to work as I wanted it to.

Here is what I have in this feature in CarScanner and in export ECU info to text.

You have version 028E, I have this parameter. It's good that everything works.

I'm not sure about which version I have. It's shown by default when I click this option but I can change it  and after it different version will be shown by default - there is also 0285 version which might be newer software symbol. Of course I'm glad taigate works fine and as I wanted it to. Won't be playing with this anymore.

Hello.  I have 5Q0959107S, I can leave it 1B2D5BFF or better at 1B2D5B5E.  Which is better for me, I don't have a virtual pedal but I do have keyless and remote access.  Could you explain the difference to me?  It is for a superb 3v 2020

If you don’t have any options, but you set them, it doesn’t change anything

Are you able to help me pls.  I retrofitted deck lid  to my SIII COMBI   from 12/2016.   Control module is version G, details  below.  I want to  activate closing lid by key. Now its only open it.  Without  KESSY.

I am not able to  do parametrization - because by ODB and CAR SCANNER  I have no options for it - or I can not find them between all the options in menu.

Any help ?

My app is in polish so I'm not sure what names of functionalities are in english version but will try to translate.

After connecting to your car you need to choose the last icon at the bottom of the main screen called "Coding and service" or similar. Then confirm the warning and you'll see categories. There should be "Boot lid" or "Trunk" or similar. Enter there and the last option is "Tailgate dataset customization". Guess it is what you're looking for.

I needed to do a reset of this module after changing parametrization.

Remember that you're doing this on your own resposibility.

Yes, my car has KESSY.

yeah seems to be the case it only works on kessy cars

Last week I finally could plug in the thing and see if I am able to do anything with this. I think is not possible as @MartiniB indicated in the VCDS FL topic, but what I saw is that I do not see this "H" "P" "S" or whatever suffix you guys claim to see, most likely I am looking in the wrong place ... any help here?

And also, had anyone 'retrofitted' an earlier module to allow the closing from button function?

Unintentionally pressed the tailgate button. Pressed again to stop it opening. I decided to drive on a short distance to find somewhere quieter to deal with the tailgate, and found it closed itself when driving off.

Hi,

can anyone tell me if there is an option to change paramters of 5WC959107A or flash back to a 5Q0 tailgate controller setting to get the tap closure from the console button?

My VCP scan of the tailgate is

Adressword  : 6D (Deck Lid Control Unit} - J605  HDSG-Modul
VAG no.     : SW: 5WC959107A  HW: 5WC959107A

Detailed info for setting this with carscanner

I have this obd module

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGB4873

And a pro license for carscanner (£8)

Set the mqb profile and connect. Bonnet has to be open and ignition on. Engine off.

Select coding and service

IMG_0609.jpeg

Then luggage compartment

IMG_0610.jpeg

Then scroll to the bottom and choose tailgate dataset customisationIMG_0611.jpeg

Then click on choose other and select one of the superbliftback ones.

IMG_0614.jpeg

IMG_0612.png

Then set the parameters you want and choose apply. (The open/close from remote should be selected)

IMG_0615.png

IMG_0616.png

You may need different settings if you have kessy or virtual pedal.

I have seen on another page that you have to hard reset through the long coding options for it to apply but it worked fine for me without this.

I have also noticed this evening that when you go back in to it it reverts to default rather than showing you your current settings.

I assume this still doesn't apply to FL versions?

Not a clue. Mine is 2016.

There are a whole list of options for a different controller. So maybe it depends on the part number of the controller you have.

Thought so. I don't believe this is available for the FL.
