I think it helps to have a 'personality' to work on presenting on the TV.🤔

Well that's Webber out then. Never met an Aussie that seemed sooooo boring. The Dumpling and the Jock are most charismatic in comparison.

Rumours that Alonso could go the Renault.

Only an Aussie would think that Moet tastes better in a Racing (sweaty) Shoe after a long hot:thinking:race.

Man can you imagine the moaning on radio again "GP2 Engine GP2 Engine".

What a liability for a manufacturer team he would be.

He p***ed off Honda so badly they refused to let any of their customer teams sign him for the Indy 500 this year so he had to go crawling back to McLaren after last year saying he'd never drive for them again.

He's finished in F1 IMHO.

Lol. I think Daniel actually has buckets of charisma but even with my military drinking past I wouldn't drink of champagne out of a trainer.

Surprisingly Moet & Chandon hasn't been the Podium champers this century in F1, the stuff they sprayed in 2016/17 was a non-French sparkling wine owned by them called CHANDON. Previously MUMM supplied the bubbles and CARBON since.

Interesting point made on the BBC News just now if Silverstone host 2 races on 19th and 26th July then foreign teams not based in the UK (not many) would have to be here in quarantine 2 weeks before starting preparations then presumably Uk based teams would to spend 2 weeks in quarantine in Austria before starting work for the 2 proposed Red Bull Ring races.

Money.

Liberty.

The Ferrari / Vettel divorce instantly wiped over a quarter of a billion dollars ( 250,000,000) off the value of F1 based on the immediate share price change.

About 2/3 of that was recovered after Ferrari announced Sainz, but still stabilised 90 million dollars down.

I read that F1 are applying for quarantine exemption?

Alonso is the man. Fingers crossed he comes back. Boring useless Vettel can retire

Who would trust him?

He couldn't beat a rookie team-mate in 2007, so he knifed his own team in the back in to the tune of 100 million dollars, plus what the constructors title would have brought in.

He publicly badmouthed his engine supplier for 4 years more recently.

He causes disharmony in every team he joins.

Ocon is a hard racer on his last chance. Renault would be mad to watch Alonso and Ocon crashing into each other all through 2021.

They're both great drivers but yesterday's men and the history books will show Vettel's record trumps Alonso's IMO.

Vettel is absolutely skitter when compared to Alonso.

Right now there are 2 men head and shoulders above the rest in F1 and they are Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen. Fernando Alonso has the talent to match Lewis and Max. Seb does not.

Hamilton was Alonso's equal as a rookie. 13 years on I think he has progressed to a higher level. Max seems faster than either to me - he's the only one I'd risk a bet on against Senna in qualifying.

I thought Verstappen would of got the Ferarri seat 🤷‍♂️

Yes. Any team would take him, which is why RedBull gave him a big money multi year contract (and recently extended it ) to stop him going to Ferrari or Mercedes.

In fact the extension was done straight after Leclerc's new deal. I think RBR were worried that Hamilton might go red - freeing up a Mercedes for Max.

Alonso is keen on magic tricks so he could entertain the VIP guests as they wait at Silverstone for the 2nd race a week later.

UK Govt unwilling to give quarantine exemption for sports.

The 2 Silverstone races would now look to be taking place at Hockenheim.

Govt position formally made to F1. No quarantine exemption. Hockenheim and Hungaroring in the frame instead of two agreed Silverstone GPs.

Guys if you like how things work explained then Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team are doing a series on You Tube and a good taster is this one launched on 22/05/2020 titled "How Do F1 Power Units Actually Work? F1 Engines Explained". For a taster maximum power is developed at around 10,500rpm yet they can rev to 15,000rpm under the regulations. Give it a watch fascinating insight.

Dutch GP cancelled. British GPs maybe sliding  back to August, with Hungary / Germany taking earlier dates.

Farcical. Why don't Liberty sort the program in private then announce it. A multi billion dollar sport and those in charge couldn't organise a pi55up in a brewery. ( Other ruder metaphors are available).

Don’t worry Boris has promised to “sort out getting the British Grand Prix sorted” so that’s almost certainly pushed it out to 2021 😂

Will Aston Martin's link to Red Bull continue, now that Tobias Moers ( ex Mercedes AMG ) has become boss of A.M.?

Also, will my Aston on order have an AMG motor

Is that a Corgi assembled Aston?

Nah - full strength Bull Mastiff.

WILLIAMS for sale after title sponsor walks 3 years early.

Williams have already sold their other businesses to try to keep WGPE running, but the end could be in sight. With McLaren Group in trouble and Aston Martin too, I wonder how many teams will remain for the new rules in 2022?
