and how do we get the password?

Is there a update for this system:

SW MST2_EU_SK_ZR_P0480T

Not in your Firmware Train

Hi. If you want to update to version 0480, I can do it for you and activate SmartLink. With the new software, the entire infotainment graphics will change and you will be able to switch from the classic menu to the square one. The system is also faster than the old version.

Is this also for my system?

Why you want Update?

New is better?

I say

Never Touch a running system

The old maxim of 'If it aint broke, don't try to fix it' should apply.

Hello,

if there is a technical way to update my device to the latest possible firmware, will it solve the 0 o'clock bug that I'm experiencing?

Many thanks in advance.

If you mean SmartLink, then yes, it is possible.

Hi everyone

I have a MIB2 unit in a 2015 Octavia. I'd really like to be able to activate Smartlink so I can use Apple Carplay. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this without a visit to a Skoda dealer?

Thank you

My apologies if the topic been up already.

Anyhow. My amundsen is running just fine. I've navigation and carplay/android auto wired.

What would be the reason for me to look into updating it?

In addition there are these codes Function enabling codes/installed codes. What is the purpose of those?

Hallo zusammen

Danke

Thanks. But I have no idea how to patch it. I feel a dealer visit is needed.

@Hobgoblinrunner

Hello. If you want, we can update the unit to version 0480 and activate CarPlay.807BB606-2A87-4264-BD06-A9AEC80F9826.jpeg2F5F5E56-2EE6-45BB-BFBC-AFEABB26E422.jpeg1C9B88D1-0355-40D5-AAB4-35059E103142.jpeg

@pab567 Hey, since I cannot PM you, may I ask for some advice/help here?

First, if you could give me some information regarding car data on these two VINs (TMBAL7NP6G7029868, TMBJK7NE9F0177635) that'd be great.

With the Superb, I have 3V0035871A (MIB2 Swing?), my question is, what's the easiest and cheapest way to have Android Auto, so I could use Waze while driving.

Maybe unit 5Q0035840x / 5Q0035842x or 5Q0035864x / 5Q0035874x with 3V0919605A or 3V0919606 display?

In the Octavia, I'd like to change the small display to a bigger one, but reading through your comments it seems that because my unit is 5E0035864A,

it means that it is MIB1 Amundsen, so I cannot use a bigger screen because of the resolution difference. Is this correct?

So, I'd need to change the head unit to MIB2 Bolero or MIB2 Amundsen and then buy 5E0919605N for Bolero or 5E0919606 / 5E0919605M for Amundsen?

By the way, can 5E0035842 or other similar units with E be used in a Superb?

Thank you in advance,

Balazs

@balazs955

Don't forget, every time you replace the unit, component protection is triggered. With a MIB 2 Std, it's easy to patch if you have firmware version until 04xx. Don't forget the coding on the vehicle... with the Octavia, if you have a MIB 1 and convert to MIB 2, you always need a patch, because an official function activation would never work. Component protection could, however, be made official.

I installed firmware 480 but it doesn't work, and I want to downgrade to 0468, I think the archive I installed was not complete, for example the icons for the radio stations no longer appear, it doesn't appear in the testmode menu

Simply re-save each station and logo will re-appear, this is because of updated logo database included in firmware 0480. Going back to 0468 makes no sense.
