There is no official way to have it solved. What I use is to have it upgraded to VW firmware 0480 and then load SKODA HMI from MY18 ZR (MQB) units. However, it requires unit to be patched first.

This is possible but not easy as MHI2_ER_SKG13 firmwares required NAND to be partitioned differently, if you are not familair with QNX then I do not recommend as you can brick the unit. Anyway, such upgrade requires unit to be patched first.

Superb - you need new glove box, glove box unit (Bolero, Amundsen or Columbus), new display unit matching new glove box unit, extra harness to have it all connected. For Android Auto you don't have to replace USB but if you would like to have CarPlay as well then USB must be replaced too - I recommend 5Q0035726J (5Q0035726E can be used as well but requires cutting excessive plastic trim from the plug).

Converting from G11 to G13 is easy, but you need to replace the display with an all-glass one, because you are currently using a mib2 system with G11 and after updating to G13 the graphics are different from mib2.5.
