Karting in the summer, Any interest ?

Discussed quickly at the last Meon meet, what's the whole groups thoughts on arranging a group go-karting event ?

I'm thinking summer time at Thurxton in their 'Thunder Karts' on the full 1,100m circuit, capable of 55mph which does feel a bit quick when your bum is only 2" off the ground.

It's not cheap at £85 for grand prix event which is 8 mins practise, two 8 lap heats & a 12 lap final, we're taking about 3 hours start to finish but, everyone qualifies for a final.  We need a minimum 13 people for semi-exclusivity & if we could get 30 drivers, we'd take the entire track.

It should workout about 32-33 laps in total of racing unless you're naughty & pick up a black flag or 2

There are some lower prices for evening/weekdays at £72 but, I kind of feel it may lower the number of people able to make the event if we did this although, let me know if a summer's  Friday evening would work for you.
