Error: selector lever...
On phev it is much more difficult to access the solenoid, I tried a couple of times but finally got it to dealer to replace the whole unit and after replacement I realized they had to remove the whole tunnel to access it so I recommend not to try it on a phev

If I am honest, I don’t know. I believe it was only offered on the 2.9 APR PCP and not the 0% one though. dealer I used was Marriott Motor Group who are Suffolk based.

the truth about electric cars
For 6 months unless it is extended. Electricity only. 5% not to pay. Instead of £100 you will be £95. Easily with the cost of domestic gas this winter which there is still 5% vat to pay on the treasury is still going to be many quids in.

Hi, was the home charger offer unique to your dealer?

Finally we actually get something that was promised if we left the EU, only taken almost 6 years to deliver it.☹️

Coasting
It is how they got the WLTP and RDE2 results that was needed and results in the VED being paid. Without these being achieved under not real world test results there would only really be Hybrids, phevs or EV,s getting manufactured by the VW Group in the lower costing non premium models. It is damn simple seeing as we are talking semi automatic boxes, change down manually if you want, or keep your toe lightly touching the accelerator.

Coasting
Perhaps is better to clarify .... disengagement and re-engagement of the gearbox is always fast and smooth, no qualms with that. My problem (repeat, mine) is that with almost 40 years of driving, I am used to "engine braking" and I use such in combination with "brakes" depending on the road, speed, conditions, and my desire at the moment. The fact that some dork has decided it's a good idea to de-couple engine from transmission in an invasive, but also random way (since depending how fast you car release the skinny pedal seems to have an effect on coasting activation) and put it in the operational logic of the vehicle without any option of selection, irkes me, and lots. Especially as I have no way to disengage such setting and tailor the vehicle to MY desire, and nevermind the stupid and absurd consumption of brake pads .... No matter what others say, this is the single most stupid feature of this car for me....

It was. But now I’m wondering whether it shouldn’t have been. Because it’s obvious that you would know? Or because I shouldn’t be coding abs?

1.0l TSI SE suitable for private hire use ?
I'm currently looking at purchasing a car for work, taxi driver. Only ever driven octavias 1.6 tdi and recently 1.5tsi act. Test drove a 1.0 tsi se yesterday and was surprised how well it drove, was expecting it to be sluggish with a considerably smaller engine than I'm used to. Will mainly be used short stop start journeys with an old dear and shopping in the boot with the occasional boot full of suitcases with 4 extra bodies going to the airport Bit of gogogling suggests carbon build may be an issue that'd need monitoring, anything else i need to know to help make a decision ?

New windscreen
Near the edge somewhere as I recall. This is from a Kodiaq. Wouldn't have thought there was much of a pattern part market for windscreens but what do I know.

- VOICE in New Karoq 2026
Hi, a question about VOICE: According to the car manual, it should work (at least in English), and for me it doesn't work at all. Does anyone have it working in English(at least), how did you activate it, or did you do coding? And in which car? (Mine is a new Karoq Style)Joel_S. started following VOICE in New Karoq 2026- Startup stumble/chugging when engine is already warm (Octavia VRS TFSI MK2)
- Broken spark plug - ruined engine? 1.4TSI CZCA
If the compression test comes back good then hopefully its just surface damage to valves and pistons and the valves are still sealing ok. As long as theres definitly no sign of bit of sparkplug I would see if the noise is still there and carefully start engine. Any noise switch it off quickly. You may be lucky and as said just surface damage. By the look of the marks the sparkplug may have been well worn and only a small bit was left that broke off, Alasdair- Startup stumble/chugging when engine is already warm (Octavia VRS TFSI MK2)
I've got an OBD gadget (the Veepeak OBDCheck BLE+), so I'll see if I can monitor a drop in fuel pressure using that. My local garage have been paid twice for diagnostics on the stumbling/chugging noise and neither time have found anything, so I'd rather run a few tests myself at this point. I'm not confident enough to remove the diverter valve myself (I've read that it's under the car, accessible via the driver's wheel arch?), so I'll see if the fuel pressure readings will point me one way or the other. If it maintains pressure, then that largely rules out the HPFP and PRV, and the GFB DV+ is likely to blame - correct? Swap that out for a 'Rev G' and the problem should go away? If it drops, then likely get the PRV replaced first (as it's cheaper), before moving on to the HPFP. Does that sound like a reasonable plan?- Help! my Mk2 Fabia VRS is killing new batteries.
Check the alternator to make sure it's working correctly check the wiring in the engine bay and the scuttle door wiring is usually a big problem and if you are a aftermarket head unit check that as well because that can drain batteries- VRS steering rack
Eny VAG car on the PQ24/25 platform should fit your fabia as the mk2 fabia rs sits on the PQ25 so eny vw polo seat ibiza or audi a1 should fit your fabia- VRS steering rack
Try searching for 6R2423055L instead. That superseded the suffix J part. Also try to find a part number sticker on your current rack. The above numbers are rack plus both track rods and ends, you presumably could be OK with just rack itself. A lot of secondhand ones will be advertised by this sticker number, not the 'all in one' part number. Avoid any that have 1 as the third character in part number, they'll be LHD.- Front park assist retrofit help required!

Folks - just pulled the trigger on the above in Velvet Red (other than that standard spec) - currently driving a Karoq 1.5 DSG Sportline Edition. Due in approx December and will be my first EV - hoping I have made correct choice. Current and new Elroq purchased via PCP scheme and Ohme Home Pro included as part of PCP offer.
