the truth about electric cars
I'm not so sure about that; I think Trump has given up and is claiming victory. It would seem that the B1 Lancers currently based at Fairford are all going back home, and lots of cargo planes have been arriving to take home the support systems that is needed to keep the aircraft operational; also, a 747 has arrived or is arriving to take home loads of support. staff.

Fabia mk1 Single Din Radio Upgrade
Hello Looking for some advice or suggestions on if anyone has upgraded their radio with a touchscreen single din option while retaining the storage cubby. Options for this type of radio are limited so wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I’ll attach photos below of what iv found. Options seem to be touch screen single din’s with a small screen (which I don’t mind) or a larger flip out screen. Trying to get something that’s decent but not completely breaking the bank. Any suggestions or experience with this upgrade would be appreciated Thanks. *removed part circled red retained part circled green.

the truth about electric cars
The result of the Gridserve charge starting was a mystery. Dont know if there was already thd tax power being drawn or what, no explanations. If I was in the Scenic, which has a 22 KW AC capability could have gone for that but at 11 KW would not have bothered. Should gave topped up on the way up as had time abd there was a new bank of Gridserve High Powerec chargers on the Northbound just commissioned. Also should have gone over to the TESLA chargers which have the highest reliability rating. Not sure if they have a TESLA Mega pack on site to avoid power supply issues. Renault have announced new R5 abd Scenic versions today and versions have more range. Also LFP versions which will have lower costs but fast charging. The 5 and Scenic both will need there cheap servicing in the next month or two so will ask the sales team about upgrading which should reduce or negate thd need to public charge in future so I will only home or destination charge. Lad talked about his Electric Forecourt experience which sounded great. Place has 4 8 stars on Google. I found charging cheap on the continent. With the larger European countries adding about 2k chargers per month competition wil intensify though a European wide shortage of electricity, but also gas and oil, all linked, a bit of planning a good thing. Octaverse card works at a high percentage of the 1M chargers across Europe. My problems were largely solvable by my better actions. What charge i did get at Sabdbach was less than £8 and then I charged up on free lecky at home yesterday ie the bank holiday where it hovered at minus 1p per KWh in the middle of the day. Cannot imagine going back to ICE as EVs getting better abd better as us the public charging network where ICE running costs look like they will be staying high with the Iran US rumbling on indefinitely.

the truth about electric cars
@lol-lol Wow, it's good to see an honest report on the various charging problems one can run into through no fault of their own. I've got so used to hearing from so many on here that range anxiety and chargers being in use, faulty, etc. are nothing short of hogwash, since they claim it never happens and that proper planning prevents it anyway.🙄 Come to think about it, I think the only other person who has been honest about problems with chargers is @Evolution13 . Did you see the report written by Will Stapley of Which magazine where he recently took an EV on a 2-week, 1,500-mile trip to Italy and back again, and he had to have 19 charging stops on that trip at £285.77, and the total time spent charging was a staggering 14 hours and 38 minutes? Phew. Now the cost is almost on a par with my diesel Kodiaq, which on a decent run averages around 540-560 miles on a tank, so that would only require 3 refuelling sessions (being generous, 10 minutes a time), 30 minutes in total. What I learnt driving an electric car 1,500 miles across Europe - Which?

After market alarm wiring colours and connection points
I looked into that too. With the age of these units the battery backup cells would be fairly depleted and breakers are unlikely to check the health of the internal cell. I've done a siren battery replacement in an Audi and in the end felt it was not really worth it, time and costs considered.

No but sometimes simple things cause big problems cheers

After market alarm wiring colours and connection points
You can probably pick up a replacement alarm horn very cheaply on the secondhand market. Much easier to just change that than start from scratch. Car alarms are almost useless anyway, immobiliser does the work these days.

After market alarm wiring colours and connection points
It did have; unfortunately it was unreliable and I suspect a previous owner/garage may have messed with it - siren looks battered. I just want to fit a new system for reliability.

Doesn't it already have a factory fitted alarm?

You don't have ECO mode selected by any chance do you?- Superb MK3 FL 206 KW Vibration under low rpm load
Ohhhh - so essentially vibration was disappearing when haldex disengaged - once you’re up and moving the car is basically front wheel drive. Makes a lot of sense. You’re right though it should be every 2 years and clean the gauze on the end of the pump as well as change the oil. It isn’t in the dealer workshop manual but all decent independents know to do it (although always worth asking just to check). Anyway, glad all is sorted!- 1.0 etec lack of power under acceleration and rattle
No warning lights or codes on garage’s diagnostic- After market alarm wiring colours and connection points
Hi All, I was wondering if any knowledgeable folks out there have any wiring information and connection locations to install an aftermarket car alarm? I have a 2012 Fabia 1.2 TSi. Evolution13 started following Wheel commonality?- Wheel commonality?
I am considering a Mk4 Octavia (2025 onwards probably) and would prefer to have a spare wheel with it. I've had a 2016 Mk3 Octavia since new and used the spare wheel two of three times. I believe that the wheels are universal, i.e. that I could use the spare wheel in my current Mk3 on a Mk4. It's sold as a space saver but its a 16" 205 so plenty big enough. I believe I can just save buying one in the replacement car but would be good to confirm. Any thoughts? Thanks JonOctaviaJon started following Wheel commonality?- 1.0 etec lack of power under acceleration and rattle

Well, today has been an interesting day. Collected my, new to me, Scout and when I got home, about 14 miles, someone knocked on my front door to tell me there was a wet patch under the front of the car. Aaahhh. What the heck. OIL!! I cleaned and checked the dipstick and it was DRY!! Called the garage and it is getting taken back first thing tomorrow. Plus the Bolero panel has gone blank. Nothing at all. I'll do some digging.- 1.0 etec lack of power under acceleration and rattle
Hi there I have a Skoda Octavia Etec 1.0 and when you apply throttle to accelerate I get no response or when I do a horrid rattle it seems to be coming from the drivers side of the engine anyone had this or any idears thanks Paul- My Skoda Superb 4x4 is in limp mode and my garage is unable to find a solution
Garage, which is skoda independent, has been exploring number of possible solutions. They have looked after car since I bought it. Car is still in one piece. I will get codes to share. - 1.0 etec lack of power under acceleration and rattle
