We used car bonnets. No directional control but the HA Viva one I used had a keel It was too effective and slid much faster than the council had anticipated, at the bottom of the hill was a road with houses & parked cars, they had created an earth berm to stop any sledges that made it that far down but with 4 of us on the bonnet we took off when we hit it, cleared the verge & the tarmac airborn and landed in the side of a car parked the other side.2 points

At last and after a long break - here's the latest update of my customised version of EUR Speedcams ( February, 2021). They consist of the full EUROPE speed cameras which I've split up into four consolidated poi categories i.e. Fixed Speedcams, Average Speedcams, Variable Speedcams and Redlight Speedcams. They come supplied with my own preferred personal choice of icons, shown below, to match each of the categories. Remember to Install them as I explained in the first post in this thread i.e. after extracting the zip file remember to open the newly extracted folder and place only the PersonalPOI folder and metainfo2.txt file onto your sd card ( Please Note: a usb stick will not work! ). Also, please remember to select/tick the relevant newly added poi categories and the poi audible warning alert in your infotainment map menu settings after performing the update or they will not display on your map or audibly alert you. Hope you all enjoy them! EUR Speedcams February, 2021.zip2 points

On the Octavia Mk 4? You just use the USB socket by the rear view mirror2 points

Perhaps it is also worth adding an option for those who do not have a problem too? To the OP, I have added some additional options for those who don’t have issues. Hopefully they’re in line with what you were asking. I’ve also opened the thread up for comments. 👍2 points

It'll depend on the tuner. You don't need to remove the fix but it seems recommended. Assuming there is an easily available pre fix update for your ECU, it shouldn't take long to revert it. Probably worth speaking to your tuner to see what they do based on your ECU.2 points

Doesn't ring a bell to be honest... The fuel pipe rattle is above 2K (around 2400-2800) so at 1500rpm doesn;t seem to be it. A video could help but in any case as it's such a new car you should always have it checked with your dealership if you feel it is really something that feels wrong.1 point

Get more milk/cider/beer/wine... You absolutely don’t drink a lot, you’re just keeping the fridge door right 👍 Other option might be to use some of the high density plastic packing foam the fridge came in to fashion a wedge1 point

They are the seats I shall be getting from Allan bud. I did want to keep it as OEM looking as possible and have original switches and use golf wiring. But I think I'm going to get the wiring and switches from a golf and put the switches in the ashtray. Just have it as that for the time being then think about changing it in the future. The car I'm picking up has factory sunroof, cruise and rear sensors. So want to do like you've done and get most options fitted as possible. Think I asked you on insta about the indicator comfort signals the other day.1 point

Have you definitely checked the right one? Sometimes Skoda fail to differentiate clearly between LHD and RHD fuse layouts, leading to confusion. The correct one is 25 Amp rated.1 point

They are paying around £15 to £20 to charge when i have watched. Also a few quid on a coffee and snack. I have a box of diet coke in the boot and water & flask and munchies and so far have spent under £20 for near 6,000 mile since August to charge. Some charging also done free at hotels or supermarkets or using others cards.1 point

Green Book. Free on Amazon Prime; we got a 30 day trial, just to watch it. Based on a true story: Watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Gaz1 point

Assuming you have the switches in the correct positions for all of the cabin lights, then when you press the door open button on your key fob all the cabin lights will come on.1 point

Very true Lee, but it did when I was there as a guest of a family in 1976, lots of Russian soldiers walking around in pairs tho at that time.1 point

I think there is a "poll" tab under the options when you create a new topic. I don't know other than that :-)1 point

Both seats finished and drying a bit before I put them in. I have the Plastics to clean up still, not sure whether or not I'll keep the underseat storage for the Monte Carlo or put it back in this. Drivers seat took a third of the time to do and came out much better than the passengers if i'm honest. If anyone is reading this to see how its done I can only advise to get a good set of pliers that can reach in and snip the hogrings off, then just use good quality zipties in their place. This way its a much easier job. Excited to see how they look in the car when they're in properly.1 point

Well, kind of joy whilst sad at the same time...................... But I have spent my afternoon making a temporary Headstone................................ Yep, Headstone! (well, woodstone really, cos it's made of wood). My 90 ish year old neighbour has just recently been buried (not covid) and his lovely widow has asked me if I could make something for her to put at the grave whilst she is waiting for the proper one to be made....... They've been married 60 years or so. She has been told by whoever makes / sorts it it could take around nine months to get it made and put in place. Not sure why so long but recent times cannot be helping. It will help her a lot knowing that there is something at the grave showing her love.......... We Just have to write the message now and probably varnish / seal it. Another neighbour (her neighbour / both opposite me) , also 90 ish passed away recently but he buried his wife of (again) 60 something years, in December 2009. He recently went in hospital with pneumonia, found to have numerous cancers, was a long time diabetic and then pretty much the whole ward got covid (from what I was told). He beat all this and came home only for old age to finally get the better of him................ He was in and out of hospital a good few times in the last few months. He was ready to go though.............. we met for a cuppa and a chat every Saturday afternoon to put the world to rights, and we spoke openly about life and death and he told me he'd had enough late last year around the start of wintertime. He was quite religious and his joy will be being able to finally go and meet up with his wife after 11 years of waiting. My joy is knowing he can finally rest and stop worrying, and I can also stop worrying about him. I just worry about my other neighbour now............ Life eh!1 point
