I retrofitted a VC on to a MY18 so it already had a MIB2.5 Amundsen so I didn't need to upgrade/change anything apart from adding a MOST (optical) cable and buttons with 'View' rather than 'Phone'. I think you'll miss out on: - Map display on the VC - VC options screen on the radio Not sure about what else or if anything else on a MY16 would need replacing. @pab567 can certainly rework various MIB2 into a MIB2.5 so it would just be finding a 9.2" screen, most have a hardware fault which causes a vertical line unfortunately...

@bubib5 I don't think Skoda Connect will work with a retrofitted MIB2.5... As you say, your VIN won't be listed as compatible on the VAG/Skoda servers so I'd be very surprised if it did

It depends how you code it... You can either: - disable BT on the Amundsen+ and use the separate BT module - enable BT on the Amundsen+ and remove the BT module Your BT module is A2SP as you can stream music, however it may not be AVRCP compatible which is what adds the skip and track info. As you already have a mic, it's very likely to go directly to the BT module rather than the quadlock. If you want to use the Amundsen+ BT then you'll need to run new wires either from the mic or BT connector back to the quadlock connector I've no idea how the inbuilt BT compares or if it supports track skip/info etc...

The knobs will unclip if you're careful. You'll need to remove the panel from the car and take off the facia first but you can see the four clips here: If needed, you can also remove the screws from the back of the unit to take it completely apart and make sure there isn't coke on the PCB etc

That part number seems to be a composition media (no sat nav)...? A quick google suggests 0627 exists for it, no idea if it's publicly available or correct for the headunit though :/

At a guess, that'll be a MIB2 Discover Pro which is basically a MIB2 Columbus. You don't need VCDS to perform an update but it can be used to clear a harmless error message after the update Once you've confirmed the exact part number and software version, I'm sure @pab567 can provide an update if it exists...

What headunit is it? Pictures of the headunit and its software versions or a VCDS autoscan might help

It's a setting you can change using the radio 👍 I think double tapping the unlock button will also unlock everything.

Looking online, 5Q0 959 760 F seems to be from 2020/21 cars, at a guess, it should have 5Q0 959 760 A? A dealer or garage who have ODIS and an online subscription should be able to parameterise the module. Although I'm sure I've heard rumours that it can only do modules that are 'allowed' so I'm not sure if an F rev is officially supported on a 2016 car. Otherwise, a VCP user might be able to help - but it depends what parameter files they have access to
